Abstract

The focus of this research is the meaning of the word fair from the perspective of interpretation and religious scholars in order to be able to contribute comprehensively to the legal istinbath related to polygamy and Muslim society. The research conducted was library research. This research prioritized data sources from interpretation books and school books as primary data and books related to problems according to the research theme as secondary data. The nature of this research is descriptive comparative as an attempt by the researcher to compare various perspectives from the interpretations and religious scholars regarding the meaning of fairness in polygamy. The approach used is the maqasid al-shariah approach so that the results obtained are relevant to current conditions. The conclusion obtained is that the commentators are divided into two groups in interpreting the word fair in polygamy, namely; (1) Fair has material and immaterial meanings and what can be done is just materially and does not cancel the legal permissibility of polygamy and (2) Fair is understood absolutely so that it requires fairness in material and immaterial matters as understood by Muhammad Abduh thus making polygamy illegal if not able to implement. As for the scholars of all schools of thought, it is agreed that polygamy is permissible, because they understand the word fair with the meaning of justice in material matters, such as dividing the night's time, living expenses and so on

Abstract

ABSTRACT LBGT has now become a phenomenon and a big issue in discussion in various forums of social and religious organizations and has become a trending topic on various social media. Indonesia is a country that still upholds religious norms and eastern customs and is predominantly Muslim. On the other hand, Indonesia also continues to recognize human rights which generally respects and respects the freedom of human rights. These two things ultimately become the cause of the pros and cons of the existence and development of the LGBT group. This LGBT phenomenon and issue is interesting to study considering that the majority of the Indonesian population is Muslim and has many religious organizations. This study aims to determine the perceptions of Indonesia's two largest Islamic organizations towards LGBT, namely Muhammadiyah and Nahdhatul Ulama (NU). This study uses a qualitative methodology while the nature of the research is descriptive-analytical with main data taken from library research. The results show that Muhammadiyah and Nahdhatul Ulama have the same perception that people who adhere to LGBT ideas tend to deviate from behavior and are not by human nature and LGBT acts, namely same-sex relationships are haram and the perpetrators need to be rehabilitated. Abstract

Those adherents of liberalism and religious secularism should not enter into personal affairs, it should not be mixed with the study of science at all. People like Karl Mark, Durheim, and Weber became his reference, they all agreed to marginalize religion from modern life. The separation of religion and science seems to be a necessity that is currently inherited and applied in scientific life massively. But now, in today's civilization, the separation between religion and science is considered a mistake. They realize it even though they are still shy about admitting it, in Islam itself, there is no postulate that science is separated from religious science because for Islam the origin of the two is one, that is, the creator. This is what underlies some scientists to see religion with the effectiveness of science and vice versa. In Indonesia, especially some scientists with different backgrounds try to see the Quran from the perspective of scientists they have and try to present the Quran with a logical and rational view to grow and strengthen the faith. This research is qualitative research with analysis texts approach, the primary source of this study is the work of Indonesian scientists and their study of the Quran, and the data taken comes from literature reviews. The results of this study state that even the study of religion and science is not contradictory and appropriate in modern civilization today.

Abstract

Banks are intermediary institutions that collect funds from the public and channel them back in the form of credit and the funds collected are third party funds (TPF) which are the largest source of funds relied on by banks, including sharia banking. The challenge of sharia banking is to expand market share. Currently in Indonesia the banking market share is dominated by conventional banking. Increasing market share will increase savings in sharia banking and strengthen sharia banking as an intermediation institution. The research aims to identify the influence of macroeconomic variables on deposits in sharia banking. The research uses time-series data 2012: Q1 - 2022: Q1 and the ARDL method to estimate the short- and long-term influence of macroeconomic variables on TPF. The research results show that there are two variables that influence the short and long term, namely the GDP variable and the exchange rate. Meanwhile, inflation and interest rate variables only have an effect in the short term. The implications of the research show that increasing economic growth must be followed by increasing people's income and the stability of the rupiah exchange rate will increase people's deposits or savings in sharia banking.

Abstract

Introduction: Indonesia is a country with a population of 273 million people, but this large population does not guarantee that the level of prosperity is high. The economic challenge facing the country, especially after Covid-19, is economic recovery in social aspects such as poverty and inequality. Yogyakarta Special Region Province contributes to quite high levels of poverty and inequality in Indonesia. Apart from the fiscal policy used by the government, there are aspects that can reduce poverty rates or reduce disparities through community movements by maximizing waqf into productive waqf. Purpose: This research analyzes the main components and multiplier effect of productive waqf managed by PWM DIY. Methodology: The research combines quantitative data and qualitative data. Quantitative data to provide a descriptive description of waqf management and qualitative data were taken using a sample method consisting of 32 of which there were 28 direct and indirect waqf managers and 4 representatives of DIY PWM. Findings: PWM DIY manages 28,552 M2 waqf land where 2,560 AD2 has been established for 20 percent of educational activities from Nursery school - high school, 20 percent for social and religious activities such as mosques and business charities and 60 percent for office or association activities. Based on the AHP method, it shows that productive waqf activities managed by PWM DIY have increased two priorities, namely increased employment opportunities and increasing access to education services. Apart from that, the benefit ratio (RI) value is 1.14 and the Consistency Ratio (CR) is 0.97, which means that DIY PWM activities in managing waqf into productive waqf are consistent and have a positive impact on the beneficiaries both directly and indirectly on the community.
