Abstract

This study aims to see the effectiveness of the application of the RADEC learning model on student understanding of alternative energy materials in elementary schools. This research was conducted in one of the Madrasah Ibtidaiyah in Bandung Regency with a sample of class IV as many as 38 students. This research used pre-experiment method with One Group Pretest-Posttest design. The instrument used is a description question about energy material as many as 14 questions that cover indicators of concept understanding. The results showed that the average student pretest score was 7.3 and the average student posttest score was 8.65 this resulted in a gain value of 0.5. Based on the above results, the RADEC learning model assisted by flashcards can improve students' understanding of the concept of energy

Abstract

AbstractThis research is motivated by the situation of students using conventional learning models, so that the learning atmosphere becomes passive so that it affects student learning outcomes. This study aims to improve students' natural science learning outcomes through the Cooperative Learning Type STAD model on the digestive system of humans and animals in Theme 3. The research method used was Classroom Action Research (PTK) for 2 cycles with a sample of 34 students of class V. Data collection techniques in this study used observation, interviews, questionnaires and tests. The results of the study in cycle I obtained a cognitive value of 37% and cycle II to 63%, an increase of 26%, affective value in cycle I of 60% and cycle II to 70%, an increase of 10%. As well as a psychomotor score of 60% and in cycle II it became 69%, an increase of 9% based on the results of the study, the STAD type Cooperative Learning model can improve science learning outcomes on the digestive system material in humans and animals in class V students for the better.AbstrakPenelitian ini dilatar belakangi keadaan siswa dengan menggunakan model pembelajaran yang konvensional, sehingga suasana belajar menjadi pasif sehingga mempengaruhi hasil belajar siswa tersebut. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan hasil belajar IPA siswa melalui model Cooperative Learning Tipe STAD pada materi sistem pencernaan manusia dan hewan pada Tema 3. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah Penelitian Tindakan Kelas (PTK) sebanyak 2 siklus dengan sampel yang digunakan sebanyak 34 siswa kelas V. Teknik pengumpulan data dalam penelitian ini menggunakan observasi, wawancara, angket dan tes. Hasil penelitian pada siklus I diperoleh nilai Kognitif sebesar 37% dan siklus ke II menjadi 63% mengalami peningkatan sebesar 26%, Nilai Afektif pada siklus I sebesar 60% dan pada siklus II menjadi 70% mengalami peningkatan sebanyak 10%. Serta nilai psikomotor sebesar 60% dan pada siklus II menjadi 69 % mengalami peningkatan sebanyak 9% berdasarkan hasil penelitian maka model Cooperative Learning tipe STAD dapat meningkatkan hasil belajar IPA materi sistem pencernaan pada manusia dan hewan pada siswa kelas V menjadi lebih baik.
