Abstract

Volkswagen adalah salah satu produsen mobil yang berasal dari Wolfsburg, Jerman dan sudah mulai berkembang sejak tahun 1937 hingga saat ini. Showroom Volkswagen memiliki standar desain yang harus dipenuhi, namun beberapa showroom Volkswgen di Indonesia tidak memenuhi standar tersebut. Perancangan interior sebuah brand seyogianya mencerminkan brand image produk atau perusahaan yang diwadahinya. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah mengetahui aspek apa saja yang terkait brand image Volkswagen yang dapat diterapkan dalam perancangan desain interior sebagai pendukung standar desain Volkswagen yang sudah ada. Hasil penelititan ini dapat digunakan sebagai rekomendasi mengenai pendekatan desain interior terhadap brand dan aplikasinya. Penelitian akan dilakukan dengan mengkaji teori elemen desain yaitu bentuk, warna, skala, tekstur, pola, dan pencahayaan terhadap aspek brand image yang terkait dengan citra dari perusahaan (corporate image), produk (product image), dan pemakai (user image). Pada penelitian ini ditemukan bahwa aspek desain yang memberikan image terhadap brand yang paling kuat adalah bentuk karena terispirasi dari karakter user, serta warna karena merupakan identitas showroom Volkswagen. Abstract

Architecture is intended for users with long-term consideration.An architecture is a work of art that does not only belong to the creator of the work but also involves other people, users and observers.Early age in a human growth process is an important phase that needs special attention. It is also called as The Golden Age. One type of perception that has an important role in a child's growth period is visual perception.Through visual perception, a child learns to see differences, similarities, and groupings. The building is the result of the realization of an analysis of users, functions and ideas. Toddlersisone of the users who need special attention. Designer's understanding of what is needed by an early childandhow a child's perspectivein seeing their environment arestill not fully addressed. This study examines architectural elementsthat have more dominant role to be considered by toddlerswith the basis of perception theory. The method used in relation to respondents who are toddlersis to describe buildings based on their respective perceptionsby drawing. The results obtained in this study isthat the architectural elementsthat can be re-perceived by the respondent clearly are the shape and dimensions.

Abstract

Café has become a choice of places to eat out that is quite demanded by various groups. Other than to eat, many people spend their time at cafés for meeting, work assignments, or just to relax. Therefore furniture in the café especially tables and chairs must have the appropriate ergonomics so that visitors can feel comfortable when they are at the café. Study related to the ergonomics of the dining area furniture at Greens and Bean café is conducted to determine the level of comfort felt by the visitors. This research used descriptive qualitative research methods with data collection technique in the form of observation, questionnaires, and direct measurement. Through this research an evaluation about ergonomics and comfortable dining area furniture will be obtained. Keywords: comfort, ergonomics, café, furniture

Abstract

Museums have an important role in preserving the journey of a nation. Museum records prove or evidence of the journey, like culture, language, politics amongst many other things. The success of museums to deliver information and communicate the content to museum visitors and other users rely on a strategic display method. There are many categories of museum objects, each has its story to tell. However, the method to display this fast information has limitations, usually regarding the availability of physical space. Hence, study is needed to help museum designers or administrators determine which method is an optimum solution to deliver the information to the visitor. Therefore, it is the intention of this research to conduct study through survey to museum visitors or users of their preferred basic approach of display methods which are aesthetic, intellectual or thematic. The method used for this research is visual research method. The visitor’s perception about the preferential method of display is extracted using a visual questionnaire followed by a structured interview. The research found that the 3-basic approach of display is vast depending on the categories of the object exhibits. History category is preferred to be displayed in an intellectual display approach, while as fashion, festival, language, music, artefact and influential people/figures categories, they are preferred to be displayed using the aesthetic approach. Thematic display approach is considered effective to present the object of food, dance and architecture category. The result of the research is then developed into proposed display design as a reference for museum designer or administrator to display objects effectively.

Abstract

Kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat bagi anggota jemaat Gereja Kristen Pasundan (GKP) Cigugur terdiri dari desain ulang interior ruang ibadah yang mengadaptasi budaya Sunda, pelatihan membuat presentasi PowerPoint yang menarik, serta pelatihan membuat aksesoris. Tujuan ketiga kegiatan tersebut adalah untuk meningkatkan kualitas hidup saat beribadah serta di kehidupan sehari-hari khususnya di bidang keterampilan, sehingga membuka jalan untuk berkreasi dan berwirausaha. Metode pelaksanaan pengabdian yang digunakan adalah dengan ceramah, pelatihan, dan pendampingan. Hasil kegiatan ini adalah terwujudnya desain ruang ibadah yang kondusif serta bernuansa Sunda, anggota jemaat yang memiliki keterampilan membuat PowerPoint yang menarik, serta keterampilan membuat aksesoris berupa kalung, gelang, dan bros yang memiliki nilai jual.
