<![CDATA[Peran komunitas adat dalam pemilu di Indonesia sangat penting bagi legitimasi hasil pemilu. Peran komunitas adat selama ini sering dimanfaatkan sebagai partisipasi pemilih. Sementara fungsi komunitas adat sebagai pemantau pemilu atau pengawas pemilu jarang disentuh penyelenggara pemilu, partai politik dan pemerintah. Dalam tulisan ini diuraikan bagaimana pelibatan dan civic engagement yang dilakukan negara (Badan Pengawas Pemilu) terhadap partisipasi komunias adat Kalitanjung dalam pengawasan Pemilu 2019 di Kabupaten Banyumas. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini menggunakan metode kualitatif dengan dengan teknik pengumpulan data melalui wawancara dan studi literatur. Kesimpulan dari hasil penelitian menunjukan masyarakat cenderung sangat mematuhi norma, budaya dan tradisi tentang perilaku baik yang sudah melekat erat dari pesan-pesan para lelulur dan adat. Sementara dari sisi lain mereka menghormati negara dengan perangkat regulasinya menjaga hukum positif sebagai bagian warga negara. The role of indigenous communities in elections in Indonesia is very important for the legitimacy of the election results. The role of indigenous communities has been used as voter participation. Meanwhile, the function of indigenous communities as election observers or election supervisors is rarely touched by election organizers, political parties and the government. In this paper, it describes how the state (Election Supervisory Body) involved and civic engagement with the participation of the Kalitanjung traditional community in the supervision of the 2019 Election in Banyumas Regency. The method used in this research uses qualitative methods with data collection techniques through interviews and literature studies. The conclusion from the research results shows that people tend to adhere to norms, culture and traditions about good behavior which are closely attached to the messages of ancestors and customs. Meanwhile, on the other hand, they respect the state by means of its regulations to maintain positive law as part of citizens. ]]>
