Abstract

Direct measurement of each radiation dose to the patient's organs is not possible. In general, to estimate the dose absorbed by human organs is approached by measurements in human phantoms, but this approach is still too rough because the composition of phantoms is not easily made the same as the actual organ composition. Currently, for important matters such as the accuracy of determining the absorption dose by human organs, the Monte Carlo simulation method (MCNP) with special software is used. This has led to a growing desire for scientists to make the transition from using phantoms to computing software for medical physics applications. However, until now no comprehensive document has been written to introduce the use of the MCNP program to simulate its application in medical physics. The purpose of this study was to analyze the absorbed dose of gamma radiation in tumor tissue in the breast by simulating changes in distance and tumor size using the MCNP-5 program. This can be useful in ensuring the application of radiation protection to the patient and the environment in which the patient is located. The results showed that the radiation dose in cell 1 (tumor tissue) with a change in the distance between the radiation source and cell 1 was getting bigger, resulting in a decrease in the dose in cell 1, while the effect of cell volume 1 was greater, the greater the dose received by cell 1. In addition, through this simulation it can be seen that for each addition of 1 cm3 the volume of cell 1 for tumor tissue can increase the absorption energy by 3.5x10e-12 Gray. Keywords: MCNP-5; simulation; radiation dose; tumor tissue AbstrakPengukuran setiap dosis radiasi pada organ pasien tidak dimungkinkan secara langsung. Pada umumnya untuk memperkirakan dosis yang diserap oleh organ tubuh manusia didekati dengan pengukuran pada phantom manusia, namun pendekatan ini juga masih terlalu kasar karena komposisi phantom tidak mudah dibuat sama dengan komposisi organ yang sebenarnya. Sehingga saat ini, untuk hal-hal yang penting seperti ketepatan penentuan dosis serap oleh organ tubuh manusia, digunakan metode simulasi Monte Carlo (MCNP) dengan perangkat lunak khusus. Hal ini mendorong meningkatnya keinginan para ilmuwan melakukan transisi dari penggunaan phantom ke penggunaan komputasi perangkat lunak untuk aplikasi fisika medis. Namun sampai saat ini belum tersedia dokumen komprehensif yang ditulis untuk memperkenalkan penggunaan program MCNP guna mensimulasikan aplikasinya dalam fisika medis. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah menganalisis dosis serap radiasi gamma pada jaringan tumor di payudara melalui simulasi perubahan jarak dan besar tumor menggunakan program MCNP-5. Hal ini dapat berguna dalam memastikan penerapan proteksi radiasi pada pasien dan lingkungan tempat pasien. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan dosis radiasi pada sel 1 (jaringan tumor) dengan perubahan jarak antara sumber radiasi dengan sel 1 semakin besar, mengakibatkan besar dosis di sel 1 semakin menurun, sedangkan pengaruh volume sel 1 yang semakin besar maka dosis yang diterima sel 1 semakin besar juga. Selain itu, melalui simulasi ini dapat diketahui untuk setiap penambahan 1 cm3 volume sel 1 jaringan tumor dapat meningkatkan energi serap sebesar 3,5x10e-12 Gray.

Abstract

Return on Asset (ROA) is a variable that has the greatest ability in predicting public banks stock prices in Indonesia. The coefficient of determination of ROA on public banks stock prices in Indonesia reached 54.8%. ROA has a significant positive influence on public bank stock prices in Indonesia. Fuzzy logic process on the performance of the 15 public banks in Indonesia have been carried out using the data of ROA for the period 2010 up to 2013. Bank reference performance according to ROA is based on Bank Indonesia Letter No. 6 / 23DPNP / 2011. The performance of each bank was analyzed by conventional methods and as a comparison used fuzzy logic. The evaluation with fuzzy logic method able to provide added value to the currently enforced performance evaluation method. There is significant difference in conclusion between the determination of fuzzy logic models and conventional method

Abstract

Linac or linear accelerator is one of the modalities used in radiotherapy. To ensure the quality of radiation dose accepted by the patient, it must be applied quality control on linac, one of which is the PDD (Percentage Depth Dose) value. For this purpose, a method of simulating the distribution of dose rates in tumors was carried out and areas of work with the MCNP program. Simulated values ??of the PDD of electrons and photons with energies of 6MeV and 8MeV have been carried out and distribution of radiation scattering generated using MCNP5 software. The PDD value is 100% for an electron with an energy of 6MeV is at a depth of 40mm while for 8MeV energy is at a depth of 20mm. The depth of photon radiation has a value of 100% at a certain depth that means effective at that depth value.

Abstract

The physics contribution in medicine began with the discovery of x-rays by Wilhelm Roentgen in 1895. The uses of ionizing radiation for medical imaging applied to the CT scan modality to obtain inside images of the human body based on differences in organ density. Preliminary observations show that students at SMA Efata Tangerang do not have enough knowledge about physics and its application in medicine. Therefore, the Physics Study Program at Matana University carried out community service activities (PKM) in order to introduce medical physics to the students at SMA Efata. The PKM activities are carried out in the form of seminars which are divided into three sessions using lecture and discussion methods. The results of this service show that PKM activities can spur the motivation and interest of students at SMA Efata in studying physics.

Abstract

This study aims to present an effort to integrate Christian faith and science based on the concept of Alister E. McGrath's thinking. The process of integration of both, Christian faith and science is mediated by Christian natural theology. Christian natural theology is the result of rethinking conventional natural theology by McGrath. This is done because the meaning of conventional natural theology as an interface of Christian faith and science is not in accordance with Christian faith. The Efforts to integrate Christian faith and science through conventional natural theology are something that is not possible, because conventional natural theology is denoted as a pure theology centered on the rationality of scientific thought alone, not based on the word of God. In this paper we will show how Christian natural theology as a result of thinking by McGrath can be a medium for integrating Christian faith with science. The analysis of this paper is generally based on the writings of McGrath, which are only partially reconciled with the views of several other theologies. Data collection was carried out through literature study and described descriptively. The result of the research is a description of the integration of Christian faith with science mediated by Christian natural theology. Christian natural theology was built by McGrath based on observations in terms of critical reality, Christian history and the word of God (Genesis 1 and 2), thus allowing the human mind to have a strong relationship with the order and beauty of nature that God created. This is the reason why the integration of Christian faith and science based on McGrath's concept of thought is more likely to reveal the truth in the reality of the Christian faith's life that is integrated with science.   Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menyajikan suatu upaya integrasi iman kristen dan sains berdasarkan konsep pemikiran Alister E. McGrath.  Proses integrasi keduanya, iman kristen dan sains dimediasi oleh teologi natural kristen. Teologi natural kristen adalah hasil pemagnaan ulang terhadap teologi natural konvesional oleh McGrath. Hal ini dilakukan karena magna teologi natural konvesional sebagai antarmuka iman kristen dan sains tidak sesuai dengan iman kristen. Upaya integrasi iman kristen dan sains melalui teologi natural konvesional adalah sesuatu yang tidak mungkin, karena teologi natural konvesional dimagnai sebagai teologi murni yang berpusat pada hasil pemikiran rasionalitas sains saja, tidak berdasarkan firman Tuhan. Dalam tulisan ini akan ditunjukkan bagaimana teologi natural kristen sebagai hasil pemikiran oleh McGrath dapat menjadi suatu media untuk mengintegrasikan iman kristen dengan sains. Analisis tulisan ini pada umumnya didasarkan pada tulisan-tulisan karya McGrath yang sebagian kecil dipertemukan dengan pandangan beberapa teologi lainnya. Pengumpulan data dilakukan melalui studi pustaka dan dijabarkan secara deskriptif. Hasil penelitian adalah berupa deskripsi tentang integrasi iman kristen dengan sains yang dimediasi oleh teologi natural kristen. Teologi natural kristen dibangun oleh McGrath berdasarkan hasil observasi dalam hal realitas kritis, sejarah kristiani dan firman Tuhan (Kejadian 1 dan 2), sehingga memungkinkan pikiran manusia memiliki relasi yang kuat dengan keteraturan dan keindahan alam yang Tuhan ciptakan. Inilah alasan mengapa integrasi iman kristen dan sains berdasarkan konsep pemikiran McGrath dianggab lebih mengungkapkan hal-hal kebenaran dalam realitas hidup iman orang kristen yang berintegrasi dengan sains.

Abstract

Perhitungan besaran interaksi radiasi dengan jaringan tubuh manusia adalah bersifat kompleks, karena perhitungannya tidak dapat dilakukan secara analitik atau secara metode numeric saja, namun diperlukan perhitungan dengan melibatkan probablitas secara acak. Metode monte carlo adalah salah satu metode yang melakukan perhitungan probablitas secara acak. Dalam tulisan ini dijelaskan bagaimana aplikasi metode monte carlo untuk menghitung perilaku statistik probablistik melalui pembangkitan bilangan secara probabilitas acak dan diaplikasikan untuk mendukung interaksi radiasi dengan organ tubuh manusia dalam bidang radiologi. Telah diaplikasikan metode monte karlo dalam pemograman bahasa C++ dan MCNP (Monte Carlo N Particle), melalui simulasi perilaku statistic probablistik bilangan acak. Perhitungan fluence dengan program MCNP ini dapat mendukung perhitungan dosis serap oleh organ tubuh manusia. _________ Kata Kunci: Analitik, Monte Carlo, probablistik acak dan MCNP

Abstract

Pemahaman awal terhadap suatu bidang keilmuan mempengaruhi keputusan siswa dalam memilih jurusan untuk melanjutkan studi di perguruan tinggi. Fisika dengan konsentrasi medis merupakan salah satu jurusan yang relatif baru dan terus dikembangkan. Angka kebutuhan kerja untuk profesi fisikawan medik pun relatif tinggi. Namun hal ini belum didukung oleh ketersediaan informasi yang cukup mengenai penerapan ilmu fisika dalam bidang kesehatan di kalangan siswa SMA di kota Tangerang. Oleh sebab itu, program studi Fisika Universitas Matana merasa perlu untuk mensosialisasikan informasi tentang pemanfaatan fisika radiasi dalam bidang kesehatan dalam bentuk seminar dengan tujuan menambah wawasan siswa terkait pemanfaatan ilmu fisika untuk membantu mereka dalam menentukan pilihan studi lanjut di perguruan tinggi. Hasil pengabdian ini menunjukkan bahwa peningkatan pemahaman siswa bertambah setelah diadakannya kegiatan pengabdian. Mayoritas siswa juga menyatakan sangat puas atas diadakannya kegiatan pengabdian ini.

Abstract

This study examines process theology from the perspective of Karl Barth’s theology, aiming to identify the similarities and differences between the two. A literature review was conducted to answer the following key questions: (i) What are the commonalities between Barth’s and Whitehead’s thought? (ii) What are the main differences between Barth’s theology and Whitehead’s theory, despite the existing similarities? (iii) How can process theology and Barth’s theology complement and challenge each other? The findings of this study indicate that: (i) Both theologies can be understood within the framework of God’s Word, (ii) There are significant similarities and differences between Barth and Whitehead’s thoughts, highlighting the points of convergence and divergence in their approaches to transcendence. This research is conducted with humility, grounded in a continuous search for understanding God’s will. Penelitian ini mengkaji teologi proses dari perspektif teologi Karl Barth dengan tujuan untuk menemukan persamaan dan perbedaan antara keduanya. Analisis dilakukan melalui studi pustaka untuk menjawab beberapa pertanyaan utama: (i) Apa saja kesamaan yang dapat ditemukan antara pemikiran Barth dan Whitehead? (ii) Apa perbedaan utama antara teologi Barth dan teori Whitehead, meskipun terdapat kesamaan di beberapa aspek? (iii) Bagaimana teologi proses dan teologi Barth dapat saling melengkapi dan menantang satu sama lain? Temuan dari studi ini menunjukkan bahwa: (i) Kedua teologi dapat dipahami dalam konteks Firman Tuhan, (ii) Terdapat kesamaan dan perbedaan yang signifikan antara pemikiran Barth dan Whitehead, serta titik temu dan perbedaan yang menggarisbawahi pendekatan mereka terhadap transendensi. Penelitian ini dilakukan dengan kerendahan hati, berlandaskan pencarian yang berkelanjutan untuk memahami kehendak Tuhan.

Abstract

As the father of the Protestant Church reformer, Luther has made limitations on natural theology. He has criticized natural theology, even at first he rejected natural theology. However, today we see that natural theology has been constructed by several Protestant Christian theologians, among others: Gifford, Swinburne and Alister MacGrath. The problem is whether natural theology is in accordance with the doctrine or teachings of the Protestant Christian Church? The author's purpose is to find out whether the teachings of natural theology are in accordance with the doctrine of the Protestant Church and how they are applied in the life of the congregation? The research method was carried out with a literature study with the following stages: (i) First, observing and analyzing Luther's criticism of natural theology. (ii) Second, observing the limits of natural theology constructed by Gifford, Swinburne and Alister. (iii) Third, the author analyzes each of their definitions of natural theology. This analysis and evaluation is based on Luther's critique of natural theology. For Gifford's natural theology, knowledge of God is limited to a priori knowledge only, because knowledge is obtained from nature and the human mind not from God's revelation, whereas for Swimburne and McGrath, knowledge from nature stems from faith in Christ Jesus so that a priori knowledge of God can be known. For Swimburne, rational knowledge of nature can support faith in God, while McGrath does not require rationality in believing in God. In this case it is different from Luther, because according to him, the emergence of absolute faith is only by special revelation from God and nothing else, nor as a companion, so as not to become an idol.
