Abstract

Facing the development of science and technology, Christian Religious Education provides an understanding for adolescents to utilize technology and stay away from its negative effects. The mission of Christian Religious Education means to provide a comprehensive change in spiritual life in the midst of a pluralistic society. Therefore, Christian Religious Education teachers in the church must be sensitive to the conditions, development and needs of youth. This study aims first, to improve the professional competence of Christian Religious Education teachers in churches to foster Christian values for Christian teenagers. Second, Christian Religious Education teachers realize that the growth of adolescent faith helps build good and appropriate teenagers levels. Third, Christian teenagers will take part in the ministry when they become mature in faith by using descriptive qualitative methods. Menghadapi perkembangan ilmu pengetahuan dan teknologi, Pendidikan Agama Kristen berperan memberikan pemahaman bagi remaja untuk memanfaatkan teknologi dan menjauhi dampak negatifnya. Misi Pendidikan Agama Kristen ialah memberikan perubahan kehidupan rohani yang menyeluruh ditengah-tengah masyarkat majemuk. Karena itu, guru Pendidikan Agama Kristen di gereja harus peka terhadap kondisi, perkembangan dan kebutuhan remaja. Penelitian ini bertujuan pertama, meningkatkan kompetensi profesional guru Pendidikan Agama Kristen di gereja untuk menumbuhkan nlai-nilai kristiani remaja Kristen. Kedua, guru Pendidikan Agama Kristen menyadari bahwa pertumbuhan iman remaja turut dipengaruhi oleh pengajaran yang baik dan tepat sesuai level remaja. Ketiga, remaja Kristen akan mengambil bagian dalam pelayanan ketika sudah menjadi dewasa iman dengan menggunakan metode kualitatif deskriprif.

Abstract

Gaget is a child's problem at this time and on the other hand, parents are busy with their own activities and let their children get addicted to gadgets. Thus, the purpose of this PkM is to conduct parenting training for parents about educating children. The method used is seminars. While the results of PkM are increasing parents' awareness of how gadgets affect children, and how to overcome children's addiction to gadgets and apply parenting according to the God’s Word. Gaget menjadi permasalahan anak pada saat ini dan di lain pihak, orang tua sibuk dengan kegiatannya sendiri dan membiarkan anaknya kecanduan gadget. Dengan demikian, tujuan PkM ini adalah melakukan pelatihan kepada orang tua untuk parenting tentang mendidik anak. Metode yang dilakukan adalan seminar. Sedangkan hasil PkM adalah peningkatan kesadaran orang tua apa pengaruh gadget kepada anak, serta bagaimana mengatasi kecanduan anak terhadap gadget dan menerapkan pola asuh menurut Firman Tuhan.

Abstract

Many factors lead to the low quality of learning, including the not yet fully utilized learning resources, both by lecturers and students. The library is a reference source of learning for students, so we need a quality and ideal library. One of the supports as a learning resource that must be held by schools is the use of the school library. This study aims to determine the role of the school library in providing learning resources at Moriah Theological College. The research method used in this study is descriptive qualitative with the APTE Model (Needs Analysis, Training, Action, and Evaluation). Observations were made directly in the library regarding the infrastructure of the library. Documentation, namely a list of books, a list of loans, and library visitor data. The results of the research conducted can be said that the library of the Moriah Theological College has a good role in supporting learning, namely as an educational, informative facility, and the library at the Sekolah Tinggi Teologi Moriah in terms of facilities and infrastructure has met library standards well. Banyak faktor yang menyebabkan rendahnya kualitas pembelajaran di antaranya yaitu belum dimanfaatkannya sumber belajar secara maksimal, baik oleh dosen maupun mahasiswa. Perpustakaan merupakan acuan sumber belajar bagi mahasiswa, sehingga diperlukan suatu perpustakaan yang berkualitas dan ideal. Salah satu pendukung sebagai sumber belajar yang harus diadakan oleh sekolah adalah dimanfaatkannya perpustakaan sekolah. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui peran perpustakaan sekolah dalam penyediaan sumber belajar di Sekolah Tinggi Teologi Moriah. Metode penelitian yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah deskriptif kualitatif dengan Model APTE (Analisis kebutuhan, Pelatihan, Tindakan, dan Evaluasi). Observasi dilakukan langsung di perpustakaan mengenai sarana prasarana yang ada di perpustakaan. Dokumentasi yaitu daftar buku-buku, daftar peminjaman dan data pengunjung perpustakaan. Hasil penelitian yang dilakukan dapat dikatakan perpustakaan Sekolah Tinggi Teologi Moriah memiliki peran yang baik dalam menunjang suatu pembelajaran, yaitu sebagai sarana edukatif, informatif, dan perpustakaan di Sekolah Tinggi Teologi Moriah dari segi sarana dan prasarana sudah memenuhi standar perpustakaan dengan baik.

Abstract

Every human being born must have character, and the character possessed by humans is different. Character is the attitude, nature, behavior of a person in accordance with the rules or norms that apply in society. Good character education for children at an early age is the family or those who play an important role, namely parents. Because children need to be guided and guided by more mature people, namely parents. Parents are given the responsibility by God to educate, teach and shape the character of their children. Therefore, the formation of children's character is very important for parents to pay attention to from an early age because parents are the first educators in informal education. Parents play an important role in the character of children, because good character education for children starts from the upbringing of parents. So parents play an important role in the character of children. Parents must also realize how important it is to carry out responsibilities in shaping the character of their children. The character given by parents must be in accordance with the norms that exist in their place or in a particular society, and parents must also provide character education according to the teachings of Jesus Christ. Jesus is an example for every Christian, even an example for children to accept Jesus Christ as Lord and personal savior. The method used in this writing is qualitative research that comes from studies of books and journals to get reviews of previous research.   Setiap manusia yang lahir pasti memiliki karakter, dan karakter yang dimiliki oleh manusia berbeda-beda. Karakter adalah sikap, sifat, tingkah laku seseorang yang sesuai dengan aturan atau norma yang berlaku di masyarakat. Pendidikan karakter yang baik untuk anak diusia dini adalah keluarga atau yang berperan penting yaitu orang tua. Karena anak perlu dituntun dan dibimbing oleh orang yang lebih dewasa yaitu orangtua. Orang tua diberi tanggung jawab oleh Tuhan untuk mendidik, mengajarkan, dan membentuk karakter anak-anaknya. Oleh karena itu, pembentukan   karakter   anak merupakan hal yang sangat penting untuk diperhatikan oleh orang tua sejak dini sebab orang tua adalah pendidik pertama dalam pendidikan informal. Orang tua sangat berperan penting dalam karakter anak, karena pendidikan karakter yang baik untuk anak dimulia dari didikan orang tua. Jadi orang tua sangat berperan penting dalam karakter anak. Orang tua juga harus menyadari betapa pentingnya menjalankan tanggung jawab dalam membentuk karakter anak. Karakter yang diberikan oleh orangtua harus sesuai dengan norma yang ada di tempatnya atau dimasyarakat tertentu, dan orang tua juga harus memberikan pendidikan karakter sesuai ajaran Yesus Kristus. Yesus adalah teladan bagi setiap orang Kristen bahkan teladan untuk anak manerima Yesus Kristus sebagai Tuhan dan juruslamat secara pribadi. Metode yang dipakai dalam penulisan ini adalah penelitian kualitatif yang bersumber dari kajian buku-buku dan journal untuk mendapatkan resensi dari penelitian yang ada sebelumnya.

Abstract

This article examines the integration of Artificial Intelligence (AI) in education through the lens of Christian ethics. With the rapid advancement of AI technologies, there is a growing need to explore how these innovations align with Christian values such as justice, human dignity, and compassion. The purpose of this study is to evaluate the moral dimensions of AI usage in educational settings and propose a framework for its ethical application. Using a qualitative research approach, the article conducts a literature review and case study analysis to understand how AI can be used responsibly in education. The findings suggest that AI has the potential to enhance personalized learning and accessibility but must be carefully designed and implemented to avoid biases, protect privacy, and support the holistic development of students in line with Christian teachings.   Contribution: The article contributes to the ongoing discourse on AI ethics by offering a Christian perspective on its use in education. It provides a framework for evaluating AI applications in educational contexts, ensuring they align with moral principles that prioritize human dignity and justice. The study emphasizes the need for responsible implementation of AI to ensure it benefits all students equitably and ethically.

Abstract

This article discusses the theological thoughts of Karl Barth and Jürgen Moltmann on Christ, with a focus on the implications of their understandings for the church and society today. The background of this research is rooted in the development of Reformed theology, which places Christ at the center, as well as the challenges of the modern world. The aim of this study is to analyze the contributions of Barth and Moltmann in addressing contemporary social issues through Christology. The methodology used is a literature review with a qualitative approach, involving an analysis of the major works of both theologians, as well as relevant literature. The findings reveal that Barth emphasizes Christ as the transcendent revelation of God, while Moltmann highlights God’s solidarity with human suffering, particularly in a social context. Both theologians provide important insights for the church in addressing social issues, urging the church to not only focus on personal salvation but also to actively engage in creating justice and peace. The contribution of this research is to offer a new understanding of the role of the church and Christians in addressing social challenges through the teachings of Christ. Artikel ini membahas pemikiran teologis Karl Barth dan Jürgen Moltmann mengenai Kristus, dengan fokus pada implikasi pemahaman mereka terhadap gereja dan masyarakat masa kini. Latar belakang penelitian ini berakar pada perkembangan teologi Reformed yang menempatkan Kristus sebagai pusat teologi, serta tantangan dunia modern yang semakin kompleks. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk menganalisis kontribusi pemikiran Barth dan Moltmann dalam menjawab isu-isu sosial kontemporer melalui teologi Kristus. Metode yang digunakan adalah kajian pustaka dengan pendekatan kualitatif, yang melibatkan analisis terhadap karya-karya utama kedua tokoh tersebut, serta kajian literatur terkait. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa Barth berfokus pada Kristus sebagai wahyu Tuhan yang transenden, sementara Moltmann menekankan solidaritas Tuhan dengan penderitaan umat manusia, khususnya dalam konteks sosial. Kedua teolog ini memberikan wawasan penting bagi gereja dalam menghadapai masalah sosial, dengan mengajak gereja untuk tidak hanya memikirkan keselamatan pribadi, tetapi juga berperan aktif dalam menciptakan keadilan dan kedamaian. Kontribusi penelitian ini adalah memberikan pemahaman baru mengenai peran gereja dan umat Kristen dalam menghadapi tantangan sosial melalui ajaran Kristus.

Abstract

As the father of the Protestant Church reformer, Luther has made limitations on natural theology. He has criticized natural theology, even at first he rejected natural theology. However, today we see that natural theology has been constructed by several Protestant Christian theologians, among others: Gifford, Swinburne and Alister MacGrath. The problem is whether natural theology is in accordance with the doctrine or teachings of the Protestant Christian Church? The author's purpose is to find out whether the teachings of natural theology are in accordance with the doctrine of the Protestant Church and how they are applied in the life of the congregation? The research method was carried out with a literature study with the following stages: (i) First, observing and analyzing Luther's criticism of natural theology. (ii) Second, observing the limits of natural theology constructed by Gifford, Swinburne and Alister. (iii) Third, the author analyzes each of their definitions of natural theology. This analysis and evaluation is based on Luther's critique of natural theology. For Gifford's natural theology, knowledge of God is limited to a priori knowledge only, because knowledge is obtained from nature and the human mind not from God's revelation, whereas for Swimburne and McGrath, knowledge from nature stems from faith in Christ Jesus so that a priori knowledge of God can be known. For Swimburne, rational knowledge of nature can support faith in God, while McGrath does not require rationality in believing in God. In this case it is different from Luther, because according to him, the emergence of absolute faith is only by special revelation from God and nothing else, nor as a companion, so as not to become an idol.

Abstract

The article explores the imbalance in Pentecostal spiritual formation, where the focus on personal experiences with the Holy Spirit, such as speaking in tongues and healing, often overshadows the importance of deep theological education, spiritual disciplines, and character formation. The aim is to highlight the gaps in spiritual formation within Pentecostalism and propose ways to integrate emotional experiences with doctrinal understanding for a more holistic spiritual growth. The article uses a theoretical approach, reviewing existing theological perspectives and spiritual practices, referencing scholars like Anderson, McGrath, and Banda. The results reveal several key issues: a lack of theological depth, neglect of regular spiritual practices, and insufficient emphasis on Christian character and ethics. It also points to the underdeveloped role of community and intergenerational learning in spiritual formation. The contribution of the article is in proposing a balanced approach to spiritual growth that combines emotional experiences with solid theology, regular spiritual practices, ethical living, and strong community involvement, ultimately offering a framework for more sustainable spiritual maturity within Pentecostalism.   Artikel ini membahas ketidakseimbangan dalam pembentukan rohani Pentakosta, di mana penekanan pada pengalaman pribadi dengan Roh Kudus—seperti berbahasa roh dan penyembuhan—sering kali mengesampingkan pentingnya pendidikan teologis yang mendalam, disiplin rohani, dan pembentukan karakter. Tujuannya adalah untuk menyoroti kesenjangan dalam pembentukan rohani di kalangan Pentakosta dan mengusulkan cara untuk mengintegrasikan pengalaman emosional dengan pemahaman doktrinal guna mencapai pertumbuhan rohani yang lebih holistik. Artikel ini menggunakan pendekatan teoretis dengan meninjau perspektif teologis dan praktik rohani yang ada, serta merujuk pada para sarjana seperti Anderson, McGrath, dan Banda. Hasilnya mengungkap beberapa masalah utama: kurangnya kedalaman teologi, pengabaian terhadap praktik rohani yang teratur, dan penekanan yang tidak memadai pada karakter serta etika Kristen. Artikel ini juga menyoroti peran komunitas dan pembelajaran antar generasi yang belum berkembang dengan baik dalam pembentukan rohani. Kontribusi utama artikel ini terletak pada usulannya untuk menciptakan pendekatan seimbang dalam pertumbuhan rohani yang memadukan pengalaman emosional dengan teologi yang kokoh, praktik rohani yang teratur, kehidupan etis, serta keterlibatan aktif dalam komunitas. Pendekatan ini pada akhirnya menawarkan kerangka bagi kematangan rohani yang lebih berkelanjutan dalam tradisi Pentakosta.
