Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh media kartu gambar terhadap kemampuan membaca siswa tunagrahita ringan, aktivitas dan respon siswa. Kemampuan membaca kosa kata dan pengenalan huruf siswa tunagrahita masih kurang dikarenakan siswa hanya belajar memahami materi secara teori tanpa menggunakan media. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian kuantitatif menggunakan design One-Grup Pre-Test and Post Tes Design. Penelitian dilaksanakan di kelas 1 SDN Lemah putro 01 Sidoarjo, terdapat 5 siswa tunagrahita ringan. Teknik analisis data menggunakan uji-t dengan taraf sig 0,05, hasil aktivitas dan angket respon siswa. Hasil uji hipotesis menggunakan uji-t diperoleh nilai sig 0,003. Karena nilai sig 0,003 < 0,05 maka H1 ditolak, disimpulkan bahwa ada pengaruh media kartu gambar terhadap kemampuan membaca siswa tunagrahita ringan di sekolah dasar. Hasil aktivitas siswa diperoleh 85%, dikategorikan baik dalam penggunaan media kartu gambar. Hasil dari angket respon siswa diperoleh nilai rata-rata 75%, sehingga terdapat respon baik dari siswa selama pembelajaran menggunakan media kartu gambar This study aims to determine the effect of picture card media on the reading ability of mild mentally inclusive students, activities and student responses. The ability to read vocabulary and letter recognition for mentally inclusive students is still lacking because students only learn to understand theoretical material without using media. This research is a quantitative research using One-Group Pre-Test and Post-Test Design. The data analysis technique used a t-test with a sig level of 0.05, the results of the activity and student response questionnaires. Because the value of sig 0.003<0.05 then H1 is rejected, it is concluded that there is an influence of picture card media on the reading ability of mild mentally inclusive students in elementary schools. The results of student activity were obtained by 85%, categorized as good in the use of picture card media. The results of the student response questionnaire obtained an average value of 75%, so that there was a good response from students during learning using picture card media
