Abstract

Maraknya pembangunan hotel disetiap sudut kota Yogyakarta mengindikasikan bahwa usaha bidang jasa khususnya perhotelan memiliki daya tarik bagi investor. Tentu saja hal tersebut akan menciptakan lapangan kerja baru serta meningkatnya pendapatan asli daerah. Banyaknya hotel-hotel baru di Yogyakarta secara otomatis akan menimbulkan dampak ketatnya persaingan bisnis diantara hotel tersebut. Industri perhotelan dituntut untuk membeikan dan selalu mengembangkan layanan prima dan memiliki fasilitas yang memadai. Tentunya diperlukan upaya-upaya ataupun strategi untuk mengatasi permasalahan tersebut.Kata kunci: Komunikasi Pemasaran, Differensiasi, dan Industri Perhotelan

Abstract

IntisariAdanya persaingan antar sekolah yang semakin meningkat beberapa waktu belakangan ini, maka upaya pemasaran untuk di sebuah lembaga pendidikan mutlak diperlukan. Sekolah sebagai lembaga penyedia jasa pendidikan perlu berbenah diri serta belajar agar memiliki inisiatif untuk dapat meningkatkan kepuasan pelanggan dalam hal ini siswa maupun siswi. Di zaman serba kompetitif seperti halnya saat ini, sesuatunya akan menjadi sulit apabila organisasi untuk dapat hidup dengan baik jika tidak memiliki kemampuan mengubah diri atau mempromosikan diri dengan baik serta secara cepat mampu berkembang dan memahami berbagai tuntutan yang diinginkan oleh para stakeholder. Oleh sebab itu, maka diperlukanlah strategi promosi khususnya di bidang jasa pendidikan yang tepat untuk memenangkan sebuah kompetisi antar sekolah sehingga meningkatkan animo calon peserta didik baru atau siswa, dan juga untuk meningkatkan akselerasi peningkatan kualitas dan profesionalisme manajemen sekolah. Penelitian ini menggunakan deskriptif kualitatif dengan studi kasus tunggal terpancang. Data dalam penelitian kualitatif ini diperoleh melalui human dan nonhuman. Sumber human diperoleh melalui wawancara (interview) dan atau observasi dengan mencatat tanda-tanda nonverbal yang ditransmisikan ke dalam bentuk catatan lapangan (field notes) ketika interview atau pada saat observasi berlangsung sedangkan untuk sumber nonhuman meliputi dokumen, rekaman, tempat dan sebagainya.Kata kunci: Komunikasi Pemasaran, Keahlian, Dunia Kerja

Abstract

Violence is any act or deed carried out by a person with the aim of injuring another person, both physically and psychologically. This problem will continue to occur if it is not managed properly, such as providing integrated services to victims of violence. Dinas Pemberdayaaan Perempuan Perlindungan Anak dan Pengendalian Penduduk (DP3AP2 DIY) has the task of assisting the Governor in carrying out affairs in the fields of women's empowerment, child protection, population control, and family planning, as well as do-concentration authority and tasks assigned by the Government. In making efforts to prevent violence against women and children, it is necessary to have a communication strategy so that the problem of violence can be handled by DP3AP2 DIY This research is examined with the theory of Soleh Soemirat and Asep Suryana which divides the communication strategy steps into four, namely the specification of persuasion objectives, identification of target categories, formulation of persuasion strategies, selection of persuasion methods applied. In addition, it is studied with Fisher's theory which divides persuasive communication barriers into two, namely mechanical barriers and psychological barriers. The research method used is a qualitative method using data collection techniques of observation, interviews, and documentation. The results obtained are that DP3AP2 DIY conducted persuasive communication with Soleh Soemirat and Asep Suryana's theory, namely specification of persuasion objectives, identification of target categories, formulation of persuasion strategies, selection of persuasion methods applied and Fisher's theory, namely mechanism barriers and psychological barriers. Abstrak Kekerasan merupakan setiap tindakan atau perbuatan yang dilakukan oleh seseorang dengan tujuan untuk melukai orang lain baik secara fisik maupun psikis. Masalah tersebut akan terus terjadi jika tidak dikelola dengan baik seperti pemberian layanan yang terintegrasi kepada korban kekerasan. Dinas Pemberdayaaan Perempuan Perlindungan Anak dan Pengendalian Penduduk (DP3AP2 DIY) memiliki tugas membantu Gubernur dalam melaksanakan urusan bidang pemberdayaan perempuan, perlindungan anak, pengendalian penduduk, dan keluarga berencana, juga kewenangan dokonsentrasi dan tugas yang diberikan Pemerintah. Dalam melakukan upaya pencegahan terhadap kekerasan perempuan dan anak diperlukan adanya strategi komunikasi agar masalah kekerasan tersebut dapat ditanggulangi oleh DP3AP2 DIY. Penelitian ini dikaji dengan teori milik Soleh Soemirat dan Asep Suryana yang membagi langkah strategi komunikasi menjadi empat yaitu spesifikasi tujuan persuasi, identifikasi kategori sasaran, perumusan strategi persuasi, pemilihan metode persuasi yang diterapkan. Selain itu, dikaji dengan teori milik Fisher yang membagi hambatan komunikasi persuasif menjadi dua yaitu hambatan mekanisme dan hambatan psikologis. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah metode kualitatif dengan menggunakan teknik pengumpulan data observasi, wawancara, dan dokumentasi. Hasil yang diperoleh adalah DP3AP2 DIY melakukan komunikasi persuasif dengan teori Soleh Soemirat dan Asep Suryana yaitu spesifikasi tujuan persuasi, identifikasi kategori sasaran, perumusan strategi persuasi, pemilihan metode persuasi yang diterapkan dan dengan teori milik Fisher yaitu hambatan mekanisme dan hambatan psikologis.

Abstract

This research is to know how does the multi-language communication inPangLalan Bun society towards the harmony of social life. The communication wasborn because of human-thinking and admitting of existence themselves. Ttieexistence was from the admitting of other person. This admittfng was because oflanguage. By using a language, a human being is able to share their opinions, andthe result will be a communication each others. The communication betweenhumans will produce a society. The society that interacted each others will producea new culture.This research is about the multi-language communication in Pangkalan BunTown in the society life by using Qualitative-Descriptive Method. The location ofthis research were in urban village office, and Kuning Palace. The data wascollected by interviewed to The Prince OfAma Muajidinsyah. experts of language,and the leaders of urban village in Pangkalan Bun.The result of this research showed that multi-language communication hadeffected towards the condition and situation in Pangkalan Bun city which havingkind of languages and cultures in every parts of city so that it was able to createintercultural communication. Then. it showed the perception, verbal and non-verbalwhich able to create the assumption of assimilation, separation, integration, andculture hybridity so that it could make the harmony of social life. There were sevenlanguages in Pangkalan Bun city that used to communicate in their daily life then itcould create multi-language based on context, also with whom they are speaking.Now, many citizen could speak more than one language.

Abstract

ABSTRACT Corporate social responsibility (CSR) is a form of companies contributing to society. CSR in its business practices leads to legal provisions, ethical values, and economic values. PT Pupuk Iskandar Muda is one of the companies that carry out CSR programs. Along with the journey of operation, the community gets many benefits including increased welfare or income, opening up employment opportunities, and fulfilling community needs. Basically CSR programs are not only material donations but also community empowerment programs. This is done so that the community can develop their quality and skills. The CSR program is designed to create a prosperous, developing and advanced society. The research uses qualitative methods with a case study approach. Researchers used structured interviews, observation and documentation methods to find data from related sources. The data were tested by using data triangulation. Triangulation in credibility testing is the examination of data from different sources at different times. The research was analyzed using the Miles and Huberman analysis interaction model, namely data collection, data reduction and conclusion drawing and verification. Based on the results of interviews, observations and documentation, the implementation of PT PIM's CSR program was obtained through four stages, namely fact finding, planning, communication and evaluation. The fact finding stage is carried out by obtaining field facts based on the results of observations and discussions with the local community. The planning stage is carried out by compiling the problems obtained in fact finding, then making detailed plans starting from the type of activity, the people involved to the budget obtained through the proposed proposal. by the community. The communication stage is carried out with the help of mass media, direct communication with village officials so that the surrounding community knows about the CSR program that will be run by PT PIM. The Evaluation stage is the final stage, in the form of an assessment by the community regarding the CSR program being implemented. Abstract

ABSTRACTSexual harassment is a criminal act that not only attacks the victim physically, butalso psychologically. The victims of sexual harassment are not only among women;children are able to become victims of these criminal acts as well. The Special Region ofYogyakarta (or DIY) is one of the cities that has an increasing number of harassment andviolence every year. According to recorded data each year, the victims of sexualharassment and violence multiply. As of now, Indonesia has a constitution regulating theissue of sexual harassment implicitly in Article 28G and Article 28I. In Article 28G, everyonehas the right to self-protection, honor and dignity, as well as a sense of security andprotection from threats of fear to do or act something. Meanwhile, Article 28I states thateveryone has the right not to be tortured and receive discriminatory treatment. This studyused qualitative methods, which data collection techniques were obtained from interview,observation, and documentation. These data were subsequently written down in the field notes containing what was seen, heard, witnessed, experienced, and findings about whatwas encountered during the research and comprised data collection plans for the nextstep. Abstract

ABSTRACTCommunication is one of the most important aspects in life. Communicationactivities include conveying and receiving information, ideas and feedback. In anorganization, communication plays a role in uniting the interests of all members to achieve acommon goal. Communication is the "soul" of an organization. Therefore, thecommunication patterns formed in an organization become the existence of the organizationitself. The Yogyakarta City Communication, Informatics and Cryptography Department(Diskominfosan) has experienced improved performance in the last three years and is stillworking on the problems they encountered in achieving performance in 2022. This researchfocuses on how communication patterns occur at the Yogyakarta City Diskominfosan inoptimizing performance and dealing with problems that occur. This research uses descriptivequalitative methods with data collection techniques of observation, interviews anddocumentation. Interviews are an initial strategy to find out communication patterns carriedout by the Yogyakarta City Information and Coding Communication Service. The results ofthe research show that the communication patterns used by the Yogyakarta City Informationand Coding Communication Service are wheel communication patterns, circlecommunication patterns and all-channel communication patterns. The communication flowused is top-down communication, for example in instructing the implementation of workorders and providing motivation. Bottom-up communication in the form of ideas or inputfrom employees. Horizontal communication takes the form of work meetings andcollaboration between fields. Then there are four approaches taken, namely the scientificapproach, the human relations approach, the systemic approach and the cultural approach.The supporting factors for communication in the organization of the Yogyakarta CityInformation Communication and Encryption Service include supporting communication tools,understanding the situation and conditions, openness, facilities, motivation andappreciation.Keywords: Communication Patterns, Organization, Performance, Yogyakarta CityCommunication, Informatics and Coding Department.

Abstract

This article aims to explain the legal protection of copyright for unregistered logos and identify the causes of copyright infringement. Additionally, it discusses the factors influencing creators' decisions on whether to register their logo copyrights. This study employs both literature research and field research methods. Literature research is conducted to obtain theoretical data, while field research aims to collect primary data through interviews with respondents and informants relevant to the issues being studied. The findings indicate that copyright protection for logos in Yogyakarta has not been fully effective, as evidenced by ongoing copyright infringements on unregistered logos. Despite the declarative principle stating that copyright belongs to the first party to publish it, violations still occur. Several factors contribute to these infringements, including a lack of legal awareness regarding copyright, the desire for quick financial gain, technological advancements, and difficulties in enforcement. To safeguard logo copyrights, registration can serve as initial proof of ownership. However, many creators do not register their logos due to the large number of designs they produce and limited knowledge of copyright law. Therefore, the Yogyakarta Regional Office of the Ministry of Law and Human Rights is expected to enhance copyright protection for logos by raising public awareness about the importance of safeguarding intellectual property. Additionally, copyright holders whose rights have been violated are encouraged to pursue legal action, either through litigation or non-litigation, to ensure their logo rights are not arbitrarily taken.

Abstract

The lack of effective communication between father and child can trigger conflicts and misunderstandings in family relationships, as represented in the film Scandal Makers produced by MD Pictures. This study aims to analyze interpersonal communication between father and child in the film Scandal Makers, produced by MD Pictures in 2023. The research employs a qualitative approach using narrative analysis based on Tzvetan Todorov's model, which divides narrative structure into three main parts: initial equilibrium, conflict disruption, and resolution. This approach is used to explore the patterns of interpersonal communication between father and child in the film Scandal Makers by MD Pictures (2023). Data was collected through content observation and document analysis, focusing on scenes depicting interactions between the father (Oscar) and the child (Karin). The tools used include dialogue transcripts and video player applications. Data analysis was conducted in three stages: identifying narrative structure, interpreting elements of interpersonal communication, and drawing conclusions. The findings reveal that Scandal Makers portrays the dynamics of interpersonal communication between father (Oscar) and child (Karin) through three narrative stages: initial equilibrium, conflict disruption, and resolution, in line with Tzvetan Todorov's theory. The conflict in the story is triggered by ineffective communication caused by Oscar's ego and fear of losing his reputation. However, through reflection and the courage to be open with each other, their relationship is restored, and trust is rebuilt. This study emphasizes that effective communication is crucial in resolving family conflicts. The film not only serves as entertainment but also conveys a moral message about the importance of openness, empathy, and acceptance in building harmonious family relationships.
