Abstract

One of the main causes of infant death in Indonesia is pneumonia. The number of cases affects the increasing incidence of pneumonia in toddlers, from factors such as the aspects of the child himself, environmental factors, and parents (mothers). The lack of parental knowledge in the form of education is one of the risks of increasing pneumonia in toddlers. The purpose of this research was to find out the effect of media booklet education on parents' knowledge about pneumonia prevention in toddlers in Mahawu Village, Manado City. The research using a pre-experimental methods, with One Group Pre-test and Post-test design. The sample was taken in 20 respondents using purposive sampling. The research instrument used is a questionnaire sheet. The data obtained were analyzed using the McNemar test with a meaningfulness level (?= 0.05).From the Mc Nemar test, it was obtained of P Value = 0.001 with a significance <0.05, which means Ha is accepted and Ho is rejected. The conclusion in this research is that there is an effect of media booklet education on parents' knowledge about pneumonia prevention in toddlers in Mahawu Village, Manado City. It is expected that the result of this research can increase parent’s knowledge about the prevention of pneumonia in toddlers.

Abstract

Breastfeeding is a natural process, but many new mothers find it one of the most amazing parts of motherhood. Through health education, mothers can understand the benefits of colostrum, such as strengthening the baby's immune system, improving digestion, and preventing infections. The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of Lactation Education through Leaflet Media on Colostrum Breastfeeding in Post Partum at Bhayangkara Gr. III Hospital Manado. This research is experimental with pre experimental research design and using the "One group pretest-posttest method. The population in this study were post partum mothers in Bhayangkara Hospital Manado as many as 48 people, the sampling technique used random sampling technique which was a random sample using the Slovin formula, so there were 7 samples. The results of this study are based on statistical tests Paired T test results showed a value of p = 0.000 with a p value = 0.035 which both of these values are less than the value of a = <0.05. From these results, it can be interpreted that in this study Ha is accepted and H0 is rejected in other words there is an effect of Lactation Education through Leaflet Media on Knowledge and Attitudes of Colostrum Breastfeeding in Post Partum at Bhayangkara Gr. III Hospital Manado. The conclusion of this study was that mothers who received education through leaflets tended to have better knowledge and a more positive attitude towards colostrum feeding than those who were not given education. This happens because leaflets can be read repeatedly, making it easier for mothers to remember and understand the contents of the message conveyed.

Abstract

Pengetahuan yang baik mengenai pubertas dapat membantu remaja memahami perubahan tubuhnya sehingga mampu membentuk sikap yang lebih positif. Oleh karena itu, penting untuk mengetahui hubungan antara pengetahuan pubertas dengan sikap remaja dalam menghadapi perubahan fisik. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui hubungan pengetahuan pubertas dengan sikap menghadapi perubahan fisik pada remaja awal di SD Negeri 51 Manado. Metode Penelitian ini menggunakan desain kuantitatif dengan pendekatan cross-sectional. Populasi penelitian adalah seluruh siswa kelas V dan VI di SD Negeri 51 Manado sebanyak 73 siswa, dengan jumlah sampel 42 responden yang dipilih menggunakan teknik purposive sampling. Instrumen penelitian menggunakan kuesioner untuk mengukur tingkat pengetahuan pubertas dan sikap menghadapi perubahan fisik. Analisis data dilakukan secara univariat untuk melihat distribusi frekuensi dan bivariat menggunakan uji Chi-Square untuk mengetahui hubungan antara kedua variabel. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa sebagian besar responden memiliki tingkat pengetahuan pubertas dalam kategori baik, namun masih terdapat responden dengan sikap yang kurang baik dalam menghadapi perubahan fisik. Hasil uji Chi-Square menunjukkan nilai p-value = 0,006 (p < 0,05) yang berarti terdapat hubungan yang signifikan antara pengetahuan pubertas dengan sikap menghadapi perubahan fisik pada remaja awal. Kesimpulan penelitian ini adalah terdapat hubungan signifikan antara pengetahuan pubertas dengan sikap. Disarankan peningkatan edukasi kesehatan reproduksi di sekolah secara terstruktur dan berkelanjutan.
