Abstract

Abstract

This research raises the problem in one of the traction equipment after the absence during covid-19 with evidence that an occurrence causing trouble with the curtain results from a lack of monitoring and maintenance. As a result, the curtain gets out of the way of the cabin, which causes the following impacts passenger may be trapped, unstable curtain movement rotation, and the sound of the curtain becomes harsh. This research aims to prevent further damage to the cabin curtain, considering that aviobridge is one of the supporting flight operations at the airport. This research uses an exploratory study using literature, observations, and interviews. This research indicates that maintenance to aviobridge does not conduct appropriately during the pandemic causing problems for the aviobridge. The result is expected that maintenance will be carried out according to applicate standard operating procedures such as lubricants between the curtains using lubricants such lubrication simultaneously with the movement of the cabin rotation to the right and left, checking the roller curtains at the top and bottom using shock lock 32, and adjusting the gear up and down if already loose. Intensive preventive maintenance is the key to establishing any facilities and the sign of a good quality of production in the industry. The researcher calculated the Mean Time Between Failure (MTBF) and Mean Time To Repair (MTTR) with the sample to the parking stand N06 and proposed that the organization obeys the applicable standard operating procedures for maintenance.

Abstract

Air transportation must have security procedures from landing to taking off the plane in the application of the plane guided by the Airfield Lighting System (ALS). CCR type 5000 is one of them to provide visible information on the aircraft. At Husein Sastranegara Airport, damage often occurs on the module due to a poor grounding system and non-standard insulation resistance. This research aims to design CCR safety with TCR 5000 type, which can be applied to Husein Sastranegara International Airport concerning regulatory standards and will be outlined in this research. This research has the following objectives: to design a safety device for the CCR with TCR 5000 type, to prevent damage to the CCR module, and to be used as a reference for airport management. This study's research and development (R&D) methodology begins with observation. According to the study's findings, the PLC-based CCR 5000-type CCR safety design can reduce damage to the CCR module. The PLC will turn off the CCR's power supply if it detects an overcurrent. The buzzer will sound to facilitate technicians' ability to determine whether the CCR type TCR 5000 is experiencing overcurrent.

Abstract

Education is a humanistic process, and its implementation increases students’ competence in higher education. The emphasis on increasing competence is explained through the performance of the Kurikulum Merdeka (Independent Curriculum). This research highlights the need for effective learning media, especially in Refrigeration and Air Conditioning Engineering courses, which include an understanding of Air Conditioning Systems (ACS). This course curriculum aims to provide a sense of Air Conditioning (AC), including Central AC. However, a lack of learning media in the laboratory requires cadets to visit the nearest airport for practicum. This research aims to design an innovation in creating central equipment learning media designs based on Split AC. This quantitative research method was conducted, with data collection through observation, literature study, questionnaires, and Likert scale analysis. The author determined the population of the Airport Engineering Technology Study Program cadets at the 3rd Batch of the Politeknik Penerbangan Palembang, totaling 22 cadets. This research uses purposive judgment sampling or sampling with purpose or consideration because cadets are considered to understand the problem to be studied. The questionnaire results showed a high need for learning media development, with a mark of 82.3%. Therefore, developing this learning medium is needed to increase cadets’ understanding and competence in refrigeration and air conditioning engineering courses.
