The sampling technique used Amount sampling with a data collection sheet, observation sheet and analyzed using the SPSS statistical test, the Willcoxon test showed that the results were p value = a = 0.000, a <0.05. The results of the research before health education using the direct demonstration method showed that most of the compliance was not good, 30 people (100%) and after health education using the direct demonstration method, the majority of compliance was good, 17 people (56.7%), and there was an influence of health education using the method. direct demonstration of the level of compliance among sugar cane farmer groups. Abstract

Preschool-aged children are susceptible to dental issues, and improper tooth brushing may lead to dental caries. Behavior, a response to stimuli, is influenced by knowledge, impacting positive toothbrushing behavior. This study aimed to assess the impact of tooth brushing practice on preschool-aged children (3-6 years) at PGRI 5 Kapongan, Kandang Village, Kapongan District, Situbondo Regency. The research employed an experimental design with a single-group pre and post-test, involving a population of 38 preschoolers at Kindergarten PGRI, Kandang Village. A non-probability purposive sampling technique was used to select 35 participants, with observations recorded using an observation sheet. The Wilcoxon matched statistical test yielded a p-value of 0.000 ? ? 0.005, indicating significance. Initially, 65.7% of respondents exhibited suboptimal tooth brushing (not quite right), but after intervention, 91.4% demonstrated proper brushing behavior. The Wilcoxon matched statistical test confirmed significance (p-value 0.000 ? ? 0.005). In conclusion, H1 is accepted, signifying the influence of tooth brushing practice on tooth brushing behavior in preschool-aged children. This insight into toothbrushing is anticipated to cultivate positive behavior, promoting oral health and mitigating dental diseases among children.

Abstract

Tuberculosis is still a health problem in the community, regular treatment can minimize transmission, and the combination of herbal medicine with anti-tuberculosis drugs can reduce tuberculosis symptoms. Currently, the community does not understand herbal medicine for the treatment of tuberculosis symptoms. Health education is needed for information about the benefits and impacts of herbal medicine in the treatment of tuberculosis. The purpose of this community service is to provide information to families as a companion to the use of herbal medicine for the treatment of tuberculosis symptoms. This community service uses a participatory Action Research (PAR) approach. This approach allows for active interaction with the community. This community service uses lecture and discussion methods for families at risk of tuberculosis, education is given with a time of 1 (one) meeting with a duration of 60 minutes. The media used are leaflets and booklets to make it easier for families to understand herbal medicine. The results obtained after health education were carried out were an increase in family understanding of the benefits and side effects of using herbal medicine for the treatment of tuberculosis symptoms. It is hoped that health education can provide information about the use and side effects in the treatment of tuberculosis symptoms. Keywords: Health education, Herbal Medicine, Tuberculosis
