Abstract

The Indonesian region, which has a tropical climate and has a wide sea, is one of the factors that make the population a fisherman. Fishermen from Pasuruan Regency, especially Lekok Village, are one of the producers of high quality marine products so that production reaches foreign exports. This study aims to develop the productivity of marine products in Lekok District, Pasuruan Regency which is constrained by the process of drying fish. Using research methods of literature and empirical studies, an automatic fish drying machine is designed by utilizing a hot air blower which is controlled by a thermistor and accompanied by a rotating system so that the results resemble manual drying using solar radiation. From the results of data analysis and system testing, it shows that the quality of fish that is dried with a rotary system is more effective than drying machines in general, such as the rack type because the results of drying fish are more even. The test results for the drying process require a temperature setting of 45-50 degrees within 220 minutes to reach a moisture content of 0.38% with a drying machine capacity of 32.5 kilograms.

Abstract

Air fryer is an electronic device used to cook food using air media. Frying without oil (air fryer system) has a procedure by utilizing the circulation of hot air from the heater and a mechanical fan which can reach approximately 200 degrees Celsius. This research aims is to determine the design model and the effectiveness of the design performance of an air fryer system using a microcontroller-based digital control. The results show the performance of the frying tool through the heating element and the max6675 sensor displayed on the LCD which is controlled by ESP 32. The frying of three foodstuffs, namely, sausage, nuggets, and potatoes is carried out by a heating element and the temperature is regulated via a thermostat using 100 degrees. It can be seen that the cooked results for sausages take 15 minutes, for nuggets it takes 18 minutes, and for potatoes it takes 22 minutes.

Abstract

Abstract - The rooftop of the University of Muhammadiyah Surabaya Integrated Laboratory building which has an area of ​​210 m2 can be used as a solar power plant (PLTS). Installing PLTS in buildings has several advantages, namely as a long-term energy investment and easy to integrate with the grid electrical system. PLTS is designed to save electricity consumption. In addition, if PLTS is connected to a battery, it can meet some of the energy needs at night. To design a PLTS installation in the Integrated Laboratory building, this research uses technical and economic analysis methods. Technical analysis is carried out to determine the capacity and number of PV mini-grid components required for installation. While the economic analysis aims to calculate the investment costs and the length of time for the return on investment compared to buildings without PV mini-grid installations. Based on this research, the results show that the amount of energy required for the Integrated Laboratory building is 482.148 kWh, while the planned PLTS is able to provide energy of 216,128 kWh. The PLTS design requires an initial investment of Rp. 927,700,894,-. So by using the Payback Period (PP) method, it can be concluded that the planned design is feasible, because the comparison of the cost of return on investment is 9.13 years faster than the project age that has been determined previously, which is 20 years.

Abstract

Snakefruit rind which has been treated as waste has not been optimally processed, in fact it is only used as waste by the community, even though snakefruit peel can be reprocessed into herbal tea for snakefruit peel. Snakefruit skin has a high content of antioxidants and polyphenols. This service activity aims to introduce new innovative products from processed zalacca peels, namely herbal teas at Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises in Wonosalam Village, Jombang Regency. The main process for making tea from bark is drying at a temperature of 60 0C and drying time for 7 hours. This service activity was carried out in August 2022 at the Wonosalam Village community activity workshop and the introduction process was carried out at Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises for soft drink products in Sumber Hamlet, Wonosalam Village. The parameter used to differentiate the quality of herbal teas is the respondent's satisfaction index on the color, taste and aroma of herbal tea. Where the highest satisfaction is in bark tea with Screwpine aroma, which is as much as 75% of the total respondents.

Abstract

Standar kuat pencahayaan yang dikeluarkan FIFA untuk pelaksanaan suatu pertandingan sepak bola harus lebih besar dari 2000 Lux. Stadion Gelora Bung Tomo merupakan salah satu stadion yang mendapatkan instalasi lampu baru untuk memenuhi regulasi yang diterapkan oleh FIFA. Berdasarkan hal tersebut, peneliti melakukan uji coba terhadap kuat pencahayaan lampu baru stadion yang sudah terpasang. Untuk menganalisis permasalahan diatas, peneliti menggunakan beberapa metode penelitian, yaitu konsep perhitungan Lumen, metode Lux, dan metode Dialux. Berdasarkan hasil pengamatan, sistem pencahayaan buatan pada Lapangan Stadion Gelora Bung Tomo Surabaya menggunakan lampu dengan dua jenis yang berbeda yaitu lampu Panasonic Flood Lighting LED sebanyak 402 unit dan lampu Philips Konvensional MHNSA sebanyak 16 unit. Dimana tinggi lampu dari permukaan lapangan yaitu 30 meter. Analisis metode Lumen menunjukkan bahwa kebutuhan lampu untuk 2000 lux yaitu sebanyak 371 unit. Hasil perhitungan di lapangan menunjukkan nilai lumen sebesar 2340 lux. Sedangkan dalam metode Dialux didapatkan hasil intensitas cahaya rata-rata sebesar 2919 lux dengan intensitas cahaya terkecil 712 lux dan nilai terbesarnya adalah 3898 lux. Sehingga, dengan menggunakan metode Lumen, Lux, dan Dialux dapat disimpulkan bahwa instensitas cahaya di Stadion Gelora Bung Tomo Surabaya sudah mencapai lebih dari 2000 lux dan telah sesuai dengan standar FIFA. Abstract

Gedung 6 lantai merupakan salah satu sarana yang cukup banyak mengkonsumsi energi listrik. Dengan banyaknya fasilitas fasilitas yang disediakan guna mendukung kegiatan operasional dalam gedung, maka diperlukan juga beban-beban yang menunjang semua kegiatan dalam suatu gedung bertingkat. Berdasarkan permasalahan tersebut, maka dilakukan audit energi untuk pencapaian efisiensi listrik menggunakan pendekatan AHP (Analytical Hierarchy Process) dengan objeknya berupa Gedung Laboratorium Terpadu, di kampus UMSurabaya. Sehingga dapat diketahui tingkat konsumsi energi di Laboratorium Terpadu UMSurabaya beserta peluang maupun solusi-solusi penghematan yang dapat direkomendasikan kepada pengguna gedung. Dari penelitian yang telah dilakukan didapatkan bahwa berdasarkan data tahun 2023, nilai IKE menunjukkan penggunaan energi di laboratorium cukup boros, dengan nilai IKE > 18,5 setiap bulan. Implementasi solusi alternatif yang telah dirancang menggunakan metode AHP menunjukkan pengurangan jam kerja fasilitas dengan skor 0,395 adalah kebijakan yang efektif dan memberikan dampak terbesar terhadap penghematan energi di gedung laboratorium terpadu.

Abstract

Ocean waves are an up and down movement of sea water that occurs due to several factors such as wind, sun and moon gravity, volcanic eruptions or earthquakes at sea, moving ships, and so on. Information about the structure of sea water waves off the coast is very useful for human activities related to the sea such as fishing, shipping, and other activities. Based on this, it is necessary to have a tool that can monitor the height of the tides and low tides. The purpose of making this device is to determine the characteristics of sea water waves directly (real time) in order to determine the right time to sail off it was found that there is a difference in the maximum wave height reading of ±8 cm and an average difference of ±5 cm. While the difference in readings of wave crests has a maximum difference of ±7 cm and an average difference of ±4 cm.

Abstract

Energi angin saat merupakan energi terbarukan yang umum digunakan di berbagai tempat. Di sisi lain, energi angin juga memiliki kelemahan. Salah satu kelemahannya yaitu sumber energi terbarukan yang bersifat variabel, tidak dapat disuplai dan tidak tersedia secara terus menerus (intermiten). Berdasarkan hal tersebut, maka penelitian ini akan berfokus pada pembuatan alat pemantau kondisi turbin angin dengan menggunakan mikrokontroler Arduino Uno. Sistem yang didesain akan yang menghasilkan 4 data yaitu kecepatan putaran rotor turbin angin (RPM), kelembapan udara, suhu, dan arah mata angin yang akan di akusisi untuk mengetahui kondisi turbin angin yang ada di lapangan. Analisis data meliputi tahap monitoring pada variasi suhu dan kelembaban sepanjang pengukuran dan monitoring arah angin secara real time, karena memiliki pengaruh terhadap pengaturan kecepatan putaran rotor turbin angin. Berdasarkan hasil uji coba, didapatkan pengukuran kecepatan putar rotor turbin angin pada masing-masing arah dengan Barat Daya (BD) mencapai nilai 946,01 RPM dan Tenggara (TG) menunjukkan variasi nilai hingga 830,47 RPM. Hasil perhitungan menunjukkan rata-rata kecepatan angin jika kecepatan rotor turbin angin 213,45 RPM adalah sebesar 12,351 m/s. Analisis data yang lain juga menunjukkan bahwa variasi kesalahan data yang telah di kalibrasi dengan alat ukur menunjukkan selisih nilai suhu dan kelembaban berada di 0,33%, kesalahan data pada pembacaan nilai RPM sebesar 0,75%, dan kesalahan pada sensor kompas sebesar 0,7%. Selain itu, terdapat korelasi antara suhu dan kecepatan putar rotor turbin angin, walaupun pola spesifiknya tidak selalu konsisten.
