Abstract

This paper begins with the lack of Arabic competence among the students who enter the elementary Islamic school in Madarasah Diniyah al-Karomah Malang. Mastering the Arabic vocabularies is the first skill to comprehend with but most of the students lack of it. So these paper focused on (1) How is the application of the Mimicry Memorization Method (Mim Mem Method) to the vocabulary learning in 1st class of Madrasah Diniyah Al-Karomah (2) How is the effectiveness of using the Mimicry Memorization Method (Mim Mem Method) in the mastery of Arabic vocabulary students in 1st class of Madrasah Diniyah Al-Karomah. This research used a Classroom Action Research (CAR). This research was conducted in two cycles which were carried out from March to July 2020. Research data obtained from quantitative data. Then the quantitative data in the form of observations, questionnaires, and student test scores for each cycle were analyzed using percentage techniques and descriptive statistics. The results of this study, In the pre-test students obtained an average score of 56 then after post-test in first cycle increased to 73,4. In the post-test of second cycle the students' average score increased again to 75. The increase was also seen in the results of observations of learning activities during the four meetings. The increase in learning activities increased from 95% to 96%.

Abstract

Borrowing script happens throughout history of languages. Long before we know Latin script, Javanese has already adopted Arabic script. However, Java language deals with problematic adaptation due to distinctive sound system among those two languages, Arabic and Java. For that matter, this research aims to uncover 1) how Arabic-Java orthography represents Javanese’s consonants and vowel, and 2) how Arabic-Java orthography represents Javanese’s cluster. This research uses qualitative descriptive method. Data contain with the Javanese words which is written in Arabic script. Data are gained from eight different books which are inscribed by Arabic-Java orthography. After data are collected, the orthography method and grapheme-phoneme correspondence are used to analyze them. Grapheme-phoneme correspondence used to know how Arabic-Java orthography represents consonants and vocal phonemes. Finally, this research found that Arabic-Java orthography has 28 graphemes which are used to represent 23 consonants. Modification letters and digraph are used to represent missing sound in Arabic. Six Javanese vocals are represented with 9 graphemes. In another hand, cluster is written in two ways, first by adding Anaptyxis schwa [ə] in between sonorant-sonorant or obstruent-sonorant and vowel [a] in initial cluster nasal consonant and plosive consonant.

Abstract

Arabic is a language that is rich in synonyms. The words that will be studied in this scientific article are words that have human meaning. In the Qur'an there are more than two words used to refer to humans, namely: basyar, insan, annas, bani adam. The four words are translated into Indonesian by humans. This single translation cannot reflect the complete meaning of each because the synonyms are not completely similar. Therefore, this study was made to answer the differences that exist in the four words. The method used is the method of collecting the corpus from the Qur'an and followed by the comparison technique of equating and distinguishing then analyzed by means of component analysis. From the analysis carried out, the four words have differences in terms of components of meaning consisting of social, character, and worship aspects.

Abstract

Bebarapa kasus kekerasan verbal pada anak banyak terjadi di lingkungan sekitar. Hal ini melatarbelakangi para orang tua di Indonesia, untuk menitipkan pendidikan anaknya ke pondok pesantren karena dianggap menjadi tempat aman dari tindakan kekerasan. Studi ini bertujuan mendeskripsikan bagaimana pondok pesantren menggantikan peran orang tua di lingkungan pondok pesantren dan upaya seperti apa yang dilakukan pondok pesantren dalam menanggulangi kekerasan verbal pada anak. Penelitian dilaksanakan di Pondok Pesantren Modern Nurussalam Sidogede Oku Sumatera Selatan. Penelitian menggunakan metode kualitatif yang fokus pada fenomena penerapan living Qur’an di lapangan. Data diambil dari hasil wawancara dan dokumen tertulis pondok pesantren. Hasil penelitian menyimpulkan, upaya penanggulangan kekerasan verbal pada anak di lingkungan pondok pesantren modern Nurussalam sidogede yaitu: 1) dengan adanya asrama santri terpantau tutur kata, prilaku dan adabnya, 2) adanya peraturan dan kedisiplinan di pondok pesantren yang berlandaskan Al-Qur’an dan hadist, 3) implementasi nilai-nilai pondok kedalam diri anak, 4) faktor syar’iyah Islamiyah yaitu pelajaran yang di ajarkan di kelas berdasarkan Al-Qur’an dan hadist kemudian diterapkan dalam keseharian santri, yaitu santri mengetahui ayat Al-Qur’an surat al-hujurat ayat 11 mengenai larangan kekerasan verbal di dalam Al-Qur’an kemudian santri mengamalkan ayat tersebut dan berpengaruh terhadap tuturkata santri dan prilakunya.

Abstract

Arabic language learning tutorial at the MAN 2 Mataram Religious Program is an Arabic language learning enrichment program outside formal morning hours intended for religious program students who live in the dormitory. This research is a case study with qualitative research methods. The aim of this research is to 1) describe Arabic language tutorial learning in the MAN 2 Mataram religious program from the planning, implementation and evaluation stages, 2) Describe the implications of Arabic language tutorial learning on students' Arabic language abilities religious program at MAN 2 Mataram. Data was obtained through observation, interviews and documentation techniques. Then the data was analyzed using the interactive technique of the Miles, Huberman, and Saldana model with three stages: data condensation, data presentation and conclusion drawing. Then the data is tested for validity through triangulation of sources and techniques. From the research results, it is known that the main focus of Arabic language tutorial learning in the MAN 2 Mataram religious program is the emphasis on students' reading skills, while still paying attention to other language skills. The Arabic language learning tutorial program has been proven to make religious program students superior in the field of Arabic compared to students in other majors, both from cognitive, psychomotor and affective aspects.

Abstract

A contextual Arabic textbook was compiled as a religious moderation program in UIN Maulana Malik Ibrahim, Indonesia. The moderation program was initiated by the Ministry of Religious Affairs. A textbook showing Indonesian culture was developed to differentiate Arabic textbooks from other countries, such as Germany and Saudi Arabia. The textbook contains four distinct indicators.  This study explores the concordance and collocation of four indicators of religious moderation in Arabiyah Lil Hayah (ALH). It also investigated students’ perceptions of the four indicators. Employing corpus-based critical discourse analysis, this study collected a corpus from the ALH book on student perceptions in txt form. This study identified that the indicator of National Commitment is present in several contexts, such as August 17, Islamic organizations, and elections. The Tolerance indicator is represented by the different opinions of the four madzhabs and the motto of Bhinneka Tunggal Ika. The teaching of non-violence was described in the Hajar Aswad incident in Makkah. Local culture was introduced in the context of culture, ethnicity, and traditional food. Students use a variety of sentences to express their perceptions, including cause-and-effect, supposition, and rhetorical forms. When the discourse is personally relevant, pronouns are used to reflect this connection, with their expression of identity often aligned with their social community or gender, such as affiliations with NU (Nahdlatul Ulama) or their identity as women.
