Abstract

The era of industrial revolution 4.0 requires the mastery of science and technology so that mastering bilingualism becomes one of the most important needs of human life. A bilingual education program is an attempt to introduce children to a second language, especially English, which is implemented in education and training. The purpose of this study is to: (1) explore in depth the management implemented in the Global English Class Learning Community at the primary school age. (2) describes the implementation of bilingual education for elementary school children. (3) description of the results of the implementation of bilingual education among preschool children. This type of research is qualitative with an ethnographic approach, which is a method of deciphering and interpreting the system of emerging cultural or social groups. The subjects of this study were primary school children and teachers of the Global English Class Learning Community. The results of the study show that bilingual education in the Global English Class Learning Community has a positive effect on primary school children. The concept is used in different models, such as group learning, peer learning, field trips, mother tongue learning. The implementation of bilingual education in Global English Class shows a positive effect and is very useful for primary school children in acquiring the child's bilingual language.

Abstract

One tool for measuring the result of learning is the summative assessment using Computer-Based Standardized Testing (CBT). The assessment process and the issues that arise in holding are fascinating to be discussed. This research was focused on: How the CBT final examination test is being implemented in a school in Pati Regency. This study employs descriptive case studies as one of the methods of qualitative research. Interviews, observation, and documentation are the data collection techniques for this study's primary and secondary sources. The researchers used a triangulation data source and triangulation technique to check the data integrity. The authors draw the following conclusions: Students' learning evaluation processes are through various activity procedures, such as simulating, implementing, overseeing evaluations, processing data, and using evaluation results. Moreover, observing student needs and readiness in all forms is an obligation applied in conducting CBT.

Abstract

The development of information technology is very fast, many benefits are obtained from the development of this technology. One of the benefits of technological developments is the existence of online Game entertainment facilities. This online Game can have an impact on the language acquisition of elementary school children. This study aims to describe the acquisition of language in grade 4 elementary school children aged 9-11 through semantic studies, namely the study of the meaning of a verb, adjective, or noun. The data source comes from the subject to be studied. This research method uses a qualitative approach. Data collection was carried out using five methods, namely observation, observation, notes, interviews, and questionnaires. The results of this study are that online Games can affect the language acquisition of children aged 9-11 years at SDIT Ibnu Mas'ud, Ambarawa District, marked by an increasingly widespread acquisition of words that are absorbed through online Games, such as verbs (victory, booyah, defeat, login, kill, mabar, drift, survival, by one, ngemoti, push), adjectives (perfect, hockey, noob, idiot, bot, asu, op, good at) and nouns (skin, turret, inventory, tournament) which they apply in everyday language

Abstract

This study examines the concept of assessment as an important educational practice for improving teaching and learning processes. In particular, it focuses on the strategies and techniques used in assessing writing comprehension in relation to her EFL education in secondary school. There are several previous studies evaluate writing with Authentic Tests like the studies written by (Bin Abdul Aziz & Yusoff, 2016; Idham, F. I., Nadrun, 2015; Masrul, 2017; Natalia et al., 2018; Saputra & Marfuah, 2022; Sari et al., 2019; Sundusiah et al., 2019). Unlike previous studies, this study describes writing assessment, designing writing assessment, and the scoring method. In this way, teachers can apply appropriate techniques and use assessment results to modify teaching and improve learning skills, especially in writing classes.

Abstract

Menulis adalah kegiatan yang akan sering dilakukan oleh individu dalam proses pembelajaran. Analisis ini berfokus pada gangguan menulis atau dengan kata lain disgrafia. Tujuan penulisan ini adalah 1) mendeskripsikan teori menulis dan permasalahannya dalam perspektif psikolinguistik 2) mendeskripsikan proses seorang anak yang mengalami permasalahan menulis (disgrafia). Penelitian dilakukan pada anak yang berusia 6 tahun, yang mengalami gangguan menulis atau Disgrafia. Terlihat anak yang berinisial YAR ini memiliki gangguan menulis dan bentuk tulisan yang tidak semestinya. Sehingga perlu adanya perbaikan agar gangguan tersebut dapat segera diatasi. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah metode penelitian deskriptif kualitatif. Metode tersebut bertujuan untuk mendeskriptifkan secara sistematis, aktual dan akurat. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian analisis dokumen-dokumen resmi seperti ,Buku, Artikel, Jurnal, Internet, hasil wawancara. Hasil temuan dalam penelitian ini yaitu YAR dapat menulis dengan baik seperti anak-anak normal lainnya setelah melakukan pembiasaan dan berlatih menulis yang sudah dibimbing guru dan orang tuanya. Gangguan menulis pada anak tidak boleh dibiarkan berlarut, harus terus diasah sejak dini sejak diketahuinya anak memiliki gangguan, agar anak dapat berkembang dengan baik dan sama dengan anak-anak yang lainnya.
