Abstract

Abstract

High blood pressure, also known as hypertension, is a medical condition that affects blood pressure and can lead to complications such as stroke and heart disease. Hypertension is suffered by many people living in coastal areas due to an unhealthy lifestyle and consuming salty fish. To reduce the number of people with hypertension in coastal areas, community service activities related to hypertension management were carried out. The methods used in the community service were problem identification with the Delbecq (non-scoring method) method, data collection through interviews with questionnaires and observations of 70 participants, problem intervention through poster counseling and tension checks, data analysis using univariate analysis. The results of the community service were dominated by 55 women (79%) and middle-aged (45-59 years) 46 people (66%). The results of the questionnaire search showed that as many as 60 people (86%) respondents had heavy physical activity, 39 people (56%) respondents had a good level of knowledge and hypertension management, 42 people (60%) were known to often consume salted fish and 48 people (69%) were found to have hypertension. The high rate of hypertension sufferers in the coastal area of Kampung Melayu is due to the lack of counseling that focuses on dietary management and increasing public awareness about the risk of hypertension related to the consumption of high-sodium foods.

Abstract

Yellow champaca is a family of Magnoliaceae, which is designated as the identity of the Nanggroe Aceh Darusalam area, known as Bungong Jeumpa. Yellow champaca contains phytochemicals which can act as antioxidants and can act as an anti-inflammatory, so yellow champaca is widely used as a medicinal plant. Compounds contained in yellow chrysanthemum such as tannins, flavonoids, alkaloids, saponin, sterols and others can act as anti-inflammatories by inhibiting the action of inflammatory media which play a role in the process of inflammation. Yellow champaca is scientifically proven to have anti-inflammatory benefits. Present studi is a compilation of several aspects the indicate that Yellow champaca has potential as an anti-inflammatory which was tested based on content of secondary metabolite compounds.

Abstract

Cancer is a disease with a high mortality rate both globally and in Indonesia. It is a chronic disease due to its long-term effects, and it can affect people of all ages, genders, and races. Currently, compounds with potential anticancer properties are being developed, and one such compound is Chrysin. Chrysin is a flavonoid compound with pharmacological benefits. It acts as an antioxidant and free radical scavenger. Chrysin is found in honey, passion fruit, olive oil, tea, red wine, and propolis. Research shows that Chrysin has anticancer potential in cell lines such as TNBC, A375, CT-26, Hela, MCF-7, Hepatoma cell, ES2, OV90, B16-F1, 4T1, HTh7, KAT18, HCC, PC-3, and DU145 by inhibiting cell proliferation and inducing apoptosis. Chrysin can be utilized as a single dose or in combination to achieve synergistic effects based on dosage dependent manner.
