Abstract

TikTok is one of the popular applications that contain short-video sharing. Every year, the number of users grows up in every country. They use TikTok not only as the media for entertainment and business but also as the media for learning. The aim of this research is to describe the effect of the TikTok application to improve students’ speaking skills. This research belongs to quasi-experimental research with group pre-post-test design involving 32  students in Diploma of Midwifery Program Universitas Muhammadiyah Kudus as the population. The sampling technique is total sampling with the experimental group (16 students) and control group (16 students). To know the students’ speaking skills, there are four components that must be measured, such as vocabulary, fluency, pronunciation, and comprehension. Moreover, the students’ score has been classified into five categories, they are very good, good, medium, low, and failed. After treatment, the score of speaking ability is improved for the experimental group. The vocabulary increases 45,6%, fluency increases 40,6%, pronunciation increases 31,6%, and comprehension increases 32,8% from the pre-test score. TikTok is a useful application that not only improves  speaking ability but also improves the students’ creativity, motivation, and vocabulary.If the students have wrong in speaking, they not only get the academic punishment but also digital punishment.

Abstract

Kader kesehatan merupakan komponen masyarakat yang sangat penting dalam pemberdayaan kesehatan masyarakat.Saat ini, masih banyak kader kesehatan di Desa Loram Kulon yang melaksanakan penimbangan berat badan, pengukuran tinggi badan yang kurang sesuai dengan standar operasional prosedurnya (SOP). Tujuan kegiatan Upskilling kader kesehatan dalam deteksi dini stunting adalah untuk meningkatkan pengetahuan dan ketrampilan kader dalam melaksanakan tugas,fungsinya sebagai kader dan mampu melaksanakan pengukuran antropometri dengan benar. Metode pelaksanaan kegiatan melalui 2 tahap yaitu 1) Tahap sosialisasi dan survei sebelum pelaksanaan pengabdian kepada masyarakat, 2) Tahap pelaksanaan edukasi, pelatihan kader deteksi stunting . Kegiatan diikuti oleh 30 kader kesehatan, petugas desa dan Bidan Desa Loram Kulon. Hasil pelaksanaan kegiatan adalah Hasil evaluasi pelaksanaan upskilling  kader kesehatan adalah adanya peningkatan pengetahuan dan ketrampilan  kader kesehatan dalam melaksanakan tugasnya sebagai kader pada kegiatan posyandu dan kemampuannya dalam melakukan pengukuran antropometri bayi dan balita sebagai upaya deteksi dini stunting. Simpulan , Diharapkan semua kader kesehatan dapat melaksanakan tugas dan fungsinya secara maksimal. Pemerintah desa dan bidan desa diharapkan selalu melakukan monitoring dan evaluasi kinerja kader kesehatan dalam pelaksanaan posyandu dan deteksi dini stunting

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the effectiveness of the cooperative learning model Student Team Achievement Division (STAD) on students’ learning interest and achievement in the subject of Integrated Science and Social Studies (IPAS) for fifth-grade students at SD 3 Pedawang. The research employed a quasi-experimental method using a non-equivalent control group design. The participants consisted of an experimental class taught using the STAD model and a control class taught using conventional methods. The research instruments included a learning achievement test and a learning interest questionnaire, both of which met the criteria for validity, reliability, item difficulty, and discrimination power. Data analysis was conducted through normality and homogeneity tests, paired sample t-test, independent sample t-test, and N-Gain calculation. The findings reveal that the implementation of the STAD model significantly improved both students’ learning achievement and interest compared to conventional methods. The average post-test score of the experimental class was higher than that of the control class, with the improvement categorized as moderately effective based on the N-Gain results. Furthermore, students in the experimental class demonstrated a significant increase in learning interest, marked by active participation, positive social interaction, and higher learning motivation. This study extends previous research by highlighting the relevance of STAD in IPAS learning at the elementary school level and emphasizes the teacher’s role as a facilitator in creating a collaborative and engaging learning environment. STAD can serve as an alternative instructional strategy to support the implementation of the student-centered Kurikulum Merdeka.
