Abstract

Penelitian ini berawal dari kenyataan bahwa masih ada siswa yang berkata kotor dan kasar terhadap guru, masih ada yang suka bertengkar dengan teman, melanggar disiplin sekolah, mempunyai sikap cuek terhadap lingkungan sekolah, melakukan tindakan yang melanggar norma, dan kurang hormat terhadap guru. Tujuan penelitian ini untuk mendeskripsikan upaya guru bimbingan konseling mengembangkan emosi siswa pada masa remaja. Metode penelitian yaitu deskriptif kuantitatif. Populasi adalah guru bimbingan konselingdi SMP Negeri Kota Padang yang bertugas pada tahun ajaran 2009/2010 yang berjumlah 77 orang. Pengambilan sampel menggunakan Cluster Sampling, yang berjumlah 20 orang guru bimbingan konseling. Instrumen yang digunakan berupa angket, data dianalisis menggunakan teknik persentase menggunakan bantuan komputer program Microsoft Office Excel, SPSS 20.0. Hasil penelitian mengungkapkan bahwa: Upaya guru bimbingan konseling mengembangkan emosi positif siswa termasuk pada kategori kurang baik sebesar 45%. Dengan demikian diharapkan adanya kerjasama dengan guru mata pelajaran agar lebih memperhatikan perkembangan emosi siswa dalam proses belajar danuntuk peneliti lainnya melanjutkan dengan sampel orangtua, sehingga diperoleh gambaran yang lebih kompleks tentang perkembangan emosi siswa dilingkungan keluarga.

Abstract

Abstract:This study aims to determine the relationship between family harmony and self-concept of class X students of SMK N 1 West Sumatra. The type of research used in this research is quantitative with the type of correlational research. The population in this study was class X SMK N 1 West Sumatra 420 students, the sample in this study was class X SMK N 1 West Sumatra 205 students, the technique used in this study was random (Random Sampling), the variables studied in this study were random sampling. In this study, family harmony with self-concept.This study examines the relationship between family harmony and self-concept. Quantitative research is the systematic scientific study of graphs and phenomena and relationships. The instrument used in collecting data in this study was a questionnaire that was compiled according to a Likert scale model. Data analysis was performed using statistical programs on SPSS 20 computer and Microsoft Excel. Based on the results of the hypothesis, the calculated r value is 0.151 while the r table value is 0.138 because the calculated r value is greater than r table (0.151>0.138) there is a relationship between Family Harmony and Self-Concept. Keywords: Family Harmony, Self Concept

Abstract

This research aims to determine the influence of achievement motivation and interest in learning on the English learning outcomes of class XI IPS students at Dian Andalas High School, Padang. This type of research is descriptive and associative. The population in this study were all students in class XI IPS at SMA Dian Andalas Padang, totaling 130 students. The sampling technique used was proportional random sampling. The number of samples in this research was 98 students. The data analysis techniques used are descriptive analysis and inferential analysis.The results of multiple regression show that (1) Achievement motivation has a significant positive effect on students' English learning outcomes. (2) Interest in learning has a significant negative effect on students' English learning outcomes. (3) Achievement motivation and interest in learning have a significant effect on students' English learning outcomes together.Based on the research results, it is recommended that schools, subject teachers and guidance and counseling teachers provide equal opportunities for all students to take part in various academic competitions that suit the students' potential. This will help grow students' motivation to excel and help increase students' interest in learning to be even better.Keywords: Achievement Motivation, Interest in Learning and English Learning Results.
