Abstract

The advancement of human civilisation and the development of the global economy in various fields has now entered Indonesia with various new digital-based technologies and is currently known as the industrial era 4.0 which is based on cyber physical systems. Digitalisation in various fields is currently also intensively carried out in the tourism sector which is one of the country's foreign exchange boosters. Indonesia's tourism development is supported by adequate human resources and the diversity of natural resources which is an added value in order to sedate tourists to visit tourist destinations in Indonesia. The tourism village will later become an independent tourism village with sustainable tourism village certification. The assistance is carried out through the development of Human Resources in the management of tourist villages, product development or travel patterns, and digital development. In the management of digitalisation-based Independent Tourism Villages, the 7 destinations have used websites as a marketing communication medium. With the existence of digital technology-based marketing communication, many Tourism Villages are now increasingly recognised by the wider community across time and space. Marketing communication through websites is one of the right strategies for tourism businesses because it is a more efficient and effective media display and has a positive significance for the tourism sector.

Abstract

Suara Muhammadiyah is the oldest Islamic media outlet in Indonesia, having transformed a da’wah (Islamic preaching) medium into a business entity based on the values of Islam Berkemajuan (Progressive Islam). The sustainability of this religious media requires adaptive strategies to navigate industrial changes, particularly in responding to digitalization challenges and financial sustainability. This study aims to analyze the transformation process of Suara Muhammadiyah (SM) from the perspective of business strategy and the integration of da’wah values into business management. This study employs a qualitative research method with a case study approach. Data were collected through in-depth interviews with Suara Muhammadiyah’s management, document analysis, and direct observations of its media operations and business units. A thematic analysis technique was used to identify transformation patterns, while data triangulation was applied to enhance the validity of the findings. The results indicate that the transformation of Suara Muhammadiyah is driven by digitalization, business diversification, and organizational restructuring. To ensure operational sustainability, the media has expanded its business units to include publishing, retail, and logistics. However, challenges remain, particularly in maintaining a balance between da’wah and commercialization, as well as competing with digital-based media. This study is limited to a case study of Suara Muhammadiyah without comparisons to other religious media. Further research is needed to explore the effectiveness of business strategies employed by other Islamic media in addressing industry challenges. This study contributes to understanding religious media sustainability through an innovative Islamic economic approach.

This research uses a qualitative method with a case study approach. The object in this study is the manipulation of information on victims of love scamming cases. The sampling technique used purposive sampling with five informants. The data sources in this study consist of primary data and secondary data. Data collection techniques using interviews and documentation. Data validity in this study was carried out by increasing persistence. The data analysis technique in this study uses the Cresswell model. The results of the study found that the process of information manipulation in the case of love scamming occurs through five stages consisting of setting up a social media profile (the profile), establishing interpersonal relationships, increasing intimacy (grooming), creating scenarios to ask for money (the string), as well as terminating relationships and disclosing secrets (revelation). In these stages, there are several forms of information manipulation that occur, namely self-identity manipulation, trust manipulation, emotional manipulation, crisis manipulation, and authority manipulation.

Abstract

The rivalry between football supporter groups in Indonesia, particularly between Persis Solo and PSIM Yogyakarta supporters, has long manifested itself in various forms of hostility, both physical, symbolic, and cultural. However, the emergence of the Mataram is Love peace movement, which originated on social media platform X, marks a major shift by successfully fostering tangible peace between the two football supporter groups. This study aims to investigate the role of social media platform X in the Mataram is Love movement and to explore how peace as a tangible reality can be built by the Persis Solo and PSIM Yogyakarta supporter groups. This study uses a descriptive qualitative approach, focusing on digital posts and interactions on social media platform X related to the Mataram is Love movement. Data collection techniques include in-depth interviews with actors involved in the Mataram is Love movement and digital observation on social media platform X. The theoretical framework in this study is based on Peter L. Berger and Thomas Luckmann's, Theory of Social Construction of Reality. This theoretical framework is used to gain a deep understanding of how peace is built and strengthened both individually and socially. The results of the study show that social media X plays four main roles in the Mataram is Love movement: (1) facilitating open expression of aspirations for peace, (2) serving as a medium for information about the Mataram is Love peace movement, (3) facilitating interactive dialogue among individual supporters, and (4) bridging the transformation of digital action into collective action in the real world. These roles played by X support the process of constructing social reality through three dialectical moments formulated by Berger and Luckmann. In the externalization phase, supporters express their aspirations for peace through the X social media platform; in the objectification phase, symbolic acts of peaceful gatherings occur repeatedly, and external legitimacy support is established; finally, in the internalization phase, peace is accepted as a new social norm among the previously conflicting supporter groups.
