Abstract

One alternative to reduce the use of  Cork fish (Channa striata) feed can be given an alternative feed, namely magot (Hermetia illucens) which is expected to accelerate fish growth and reduce production costs. The purpose of this study was to determine the effect and best treatment of the combination of feeding maggot and pellet feed with different proportions on growth, survival and efficiency of Cork fish (Channa striata) feed. This research was conducted for 60 days from November to December 2019 at SMK Unggul Negeri 2 Banyuasin III Sekojo Ujung Ring Road, Kedondong Raye Village, Banyuasin III District, Banyuasin Regency. This study used a completely randomized design (CRD) with 4 (four) levels of treatment, each treatment was carried out 3 (three) times, namely P1 (100% pelletized feed), P2 (75% pelleted feed and 25% maggot. ), P3 (Feeding pellets of 50% and 50% of maggot), P4 (Giving pellets of 25% and 75% of maggot). The container used in this study is a tarp pool. The results showed that the best growth in weight, length and survival rate for snakehead fish was found in treatment P4 with a weight of 3.78 grams, a length of 3.06 cm and a survival rate of 83.33%.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of the video-assisted discovery learning model on the IPAS (Natural and Social Sciences) learning outcomes of third-grade students at SD Negeri 63 Palembang on the topic of Landform Variations. The study was motivated by students' low learning outcomes resulting from conventional teaching methods with limited active student engagement. A quantitative approach with a quasi-experimental method was used, employing a posttest only control group design. The sample was determined through simple random sampling, resulting in class III B as the experimental class and class III A as the control class, each consisting of 20 students. Data were collected using a multiple-choice achievement test and analyzed through the Shapiro-Wilk normality test, Levene's homogeneity test, and an Independent Sample t-test using SPSS version 25. The results showed that the experimental class achieved higher and more consistent learning outcomes than the control class. Data from both groups were normally distributed and homogeneous in variance. The hypothesis test indicated that H0 was rejected and Ha was accepted, confirming a significant effect. This study concludes that the video-assisted discovery learning model significantly improves IPAS learning outcomes among third-grade elementary students, particularly on contextual material requiring visualization. ABSTRAK Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh model pembelajaran discovery learning berbantuan video terhadap hasil belajar IPAS siswa kelas III SD Negeri 63 Palembang pada materi Ragam Bentang Alam. Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh rendahnya hasil belajar siswa akibat pembelajaran yang masih didominasi metode konvensional dan kurang melibatkan siswa secara aktif. Penelitian menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif dengan metode eksperimen semu desain posttest only control group design. Sampel ditentukan melalui teknik simple random sampling, sehingga terpilih kelas III B sebagai kelas eksperimen dan kelas III A sebagai kelas kontrol, masing-masing berjumlah 20 siswa. Data dikumpulkan menggunakan tes hasil belajar berbentuk pilihan ganda, kemudian dianalisis melalui uji normalitas Shapiro-Wilk, uji homogenitas Levene, dan uji hipotesis Independent Sample t-test dengan bantuan SPSS versi 25. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa hasil belajar IPAS kelas eksperimen lebih tinggi dan lebih konsisten dibandingkan kelas kontrol. Data kedua kelompok berdistribusi normal dan bervarians homogen. Hasil uji hipotesis menunjukkan bahwa H0 ditolak dan Ha diterima, yang berarti terdapat pengaruh yang signifikan. Simpulan penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa model pembelajaran discovery learning berbantuan video berpengaruh signifikan terhadap peningkatan hasil belajar IPAS siswa kelas III sekolah dasar, khususnya pada materi yang bersifat kontekstual dan membutuhkan visualisasi.
