Abstract

Gandul Cinere village is located on the border of South Jakarta.  Jakarta has a relatively high number of COVID-19 positive patients.  Since May 27, 2020, the Indonesian government has determined that Indonesia is entering a New Normal era.  Perceptions of the New Normal are still often debated by the public.  Many people in the community do not care about health protocols in the New Normal era and consider that the COVID-19 pandemic is no longer a threat.  Therefore, a continuous understanding of health protocols is needed.  Social distancing is part of the behavior that must be carried out in this New Normal era.  Therefore, continued knowledge provision is required in order to prevent the transmission of COVID-19, especially in the Gandul Village area, Cinere, which borders the red zone area of COVID-19. Health cadres who are the vanguard need assistance and guidance in understanding and applying social distancing in their lives.  The methods used are online counseling (online), online discussion, and online mentoring.  The activities to be carried out are the provision of knowledge about Social Distancing Behavior, the provision of knowledge on how to use the correct mouth mask, as well as the kinds of masks used for the prevention of infectious diseases, measurement of social distancing knowledge level with online questionnaires.  This activity is expected to provide benefits to the community.  There is an increase in knowledge of social distancing behavior and awareness of health cadres to implement social distancing and teach to the community in everyday life in the New Normal era ABSTRAK: Kelurahan Gandul Cinere terletak berbatasan dengan kawasan Jakarta Selatan. Abstract

Diabetic ulcers are one of the chronic wounds resulting from the chronic complications of diabetes mellitus. Patients with diabetes mellitus are at risk of developing diabetic foot ulcers due to their vulnerability to nerve damage (neuropathy) and peripheral vascular disease in the lower limbs. In this case, a 68-year-old male presented with a non-healing ulcer on his right foot that has been progressively enlarging for the past month. The patient reported that the ulcer is currently pus-filled and wet. Previously, he often experienced numbness and tingling. The patient has been irregular in taking his diabetes medication. The wound has continued to enlarge, severely affecting the patient's foot. Prior to his departure to Madinah, he was hospitalized in Indonesia and underwent debridement for the ulcer. Non-adherence to diabetes treatment is a major cause of complications such as diabetic foot ulcers. Maintaining blood glucose levels as close to normal as possible is crucial for improving various hyperglycemia-related factors that can impede wound healing. In addition to providing pharmacotherapy and non-pharmacotherapy, doctors play a vital role in educating patients and their families about the disease. Doctors emphasize the importance of adhering to prescribed treatments, regularly monitoring blood glucose levels to keep them under control, and providing guidance on proper wound care.

Abstract

Introduction : Maternal Mortality Rate (MMR) remains a global health challenge, particularly in low and middle income countries. This study aims to describe the characteristics of pregnant women receiving Antenatal Care (ANC) services at Latifa Klinik, Kelurahan Kedaung, during July 2024. Objective : A descriptive method was used with a total sampling technique, involving 50 respondents. Data were analyzed descriptively using a checklist of variables such as age, education, occupation, and parity. Results : Most pregnant women were aged 20-35 years (82%), had a high school education (74%), were unemployed (66%), and had 2-4 children (58%). These factors influenced the regularity and quality of ANC services received. Pregnant women in the ideal age range (20-35 years) had a lower risk of pregnancy complications, while higher education levels supported greater awareness and knowledge about the importance of ANC. Additionally, the mothers' occupational status and parity contributed to the regularity of ANC visits. Conclusion : That more intensive health education, improved access to ANC services, and special attention to high-risk pregnant women are essential to reducing MMR. These efforts are crucial for achieving the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) target of a global MMR below 70 per 100,000 live births by 2030.

Abstract

Introduction: According to the Indonesian Medium-Term Development Plan IV for the year 2020 - 2024, stroke is ranked as the top disease in Indonesia, with a 93.4% increase from the previous period. Additionally, data from the 2018 Riskesdas P2TM shows that out of 3 individuals who experienced a stroke, 2 of them suffered disabilities. Objective: To analyze the role of family support in post-stroke patients' engagement in medical rehabilitation exercises. Method: This study utilized data from a literature review based on previous research. High-quality secondary data sources such as Google Scholar, Mendeley, and Research Gate were used to search for data in the literature review. These databases facilitate access to reputable journals as the primary references. Results: Based on the analysis of 5 journals conducted by various researchers, it was found that family support plays a significant role in motivating post-stroke patients to engage in medical rehabilitation exercises. Conclusion: There is a correlation between family support and the motivation of post-stroke patients to participate in medical rehabilitation exercises. Families serve not only as sources of social support but also actively encourage and motivate patients to achieve optimal recovery levels.
