Abstract

Banyaknya peredaran buah-buahan dalam lingkungan masayarat mengakibatkan meningkatnya jumlah sampah atau limbah dari sisa buah-buahan tersebut. Limbah buah-buahan ini salah satu dari banyak limbah yang kurang dimanfaatkan sehingga dapat menyebabkan pencemaran udara karena mengeluarkan bau yang tidak sedap. Penanganan limbah buah-buahan sampai saat ini belum ada solusi penyelesainnya secara maksimal. Hal ini disebabkan karena rendahnya pengetahuan masyarakat terutama pedagang buah-buahan tentang pengelolaan limbah buah-buahan secara baik dan benar. Sementara dampak dari limbah itu sendiri menyebabkan berbagai persoalan seperti timbulnya penyakit, polusi udara, polusi air dan lain sebagainya. Oleh karena itu perlu dilakukan pengelolaan limbah buah-buahan agar potensi yang ada pada limbah tersebut dapat diolah menjadi suatru produk yang lebih bermanfaat dan bernilai ekonomi tinggi. Tujuan dari Kegiatan ini adalah untuk mensosialisasikan dan mendonstrasikan iptek bagi masyarakat desa Ajee Cut tentang pembuatan EM4 alami yang berasal dari limbah buah-buhan dan air leri. Kemudian untuk memotivasi masyarakan agar memiliki rasa kepedulian terhadap lingkungan dengan pengelolaan limbah secara baik. Meningkatkan jumlah masyaraka akan jiwa untuk melakukan wirausaha dengan pengelolaan limbah. Pelaksanaan kegiatan ini dilakukan dengan 2 (dua) metode, yaitu melalui metode pembinaan atau penyuluhan dalam ruangan dan metode pembinaan atau penyuluhan di lapangan (demonstrasi/praktek). Hasil kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini memberikan pengaruh positif pada warga masyarakat dimana masyarakat pada lokasi kegiatan telah terbangun pola pikir untuk memanfaatkan limbah buah-buahan untuk dijadikan EM4 alami. Luaran atau output dari kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini adalah warga masyarakat desa Ajee Cut mampu memproduksi dan memasarkan sendiri produ EM4 alami tersebut yang mudah didapat, sangat murah, dan ramah lingkungan. Selanjudnya warga masyarakat tidak lagi ketergantungan pada pupuk kimia sintetis dikarekan bahan baku EM4 alami selalu tersedia di dasa Ajee Cut.

Abstract

Not much is known about the development of crystal guava plants in Indonesia.  Therefore, it is necessary to study the ways and techniques for cultivating crystal guava plants starting from the seeding process so that you get plants that have fast growth and can produce quality crystal guava fruit with high yields. This research aims to see the effect of soaking scions in sprout solution on the success of grafting guava plants. This research was carried out at the experimental garden of the Indonesian Polytechnic in Venezuela, Cot Suruy Village, Want Jaya District, Aceh Besar Regency from May to June 2023. This research used a non-factorial Randomized Block Design (RAK) of 4 treatments and 4 replications, resulting in 16 experimental units. The parameters observed were branch length, number of leaves, number of branches and percentage of grafting success. The results of the research showed that the immersion treatment of scion in sprout solution did not have a real effect on the grafting of guava plants for the parameters of branch length, number of leaves and number of branches as well as the percentage of grafting success.

Abstract

Coagulation is one of the processes of bringing together rubber grains contained in latex liquid so that a lump is formed. This study aims to determine the effectiveness of freezing rubber from natural materials such as star fruit, lime, and noni, palm sap. This research was carried out in Punkie Village, Kaway XVI Sub-district, Aceh Barat District from August 2023 until completion. The experimental design used is a non-factorial Completely Randomized Design (CRD) consisting of 5 treatments and 4 replications, namely: K (control), MKD (noni), JNP (lime), NAN (palm sap), BMW (star fruit ). The study results show that the administration of some natural substances has a very significant effect on the coagulation of rubber; the most effective natural substance to coagulate rubber is noni.

Abstract

Candlenut is a plant that has many uses and can be utilized as a basic ingredient for kitchen spices and pharmaceutical ingredients. The increasing demand for candlenuts from other countries makes farmers in Indonesia increasingly active in making candlenuts as the main crop Candlenut seeds have very high benefits and selling value if they have gone through a good and correct peeling process. This study aims to determine the effect of the length of time drying candlenut seeds processed with a peeling machine on the yield of candlenut grain. This research was conducted in Seulimum Village, Seulimum District, Aceh Besar in April 2024. This study used a non-factorial Randomized Block Design (RBD) of 4 treatments and 6 replications resulting in 24 experimental units. The parameters observed were the percentage of intact nuclei (%) and the percentage of broken nuclei (%). The results showed that the test treatment of the length of time drying candlenut seeds with sunlight with different intervals of the number of days did not give a significant effect on the percentage of intact candlenuts, and the percentage of broken nuclei.
