Abstract

The background1of this research is that teachers at SMP Negeri 42 Merangin have never developed an Integrated Science teaching aid for human movement systems made from used materials such as used books and others. Teachers use textbooks for the learning process. This study aims to develop integrated science teaching aids on human movement system materials by utilizing used materials for class VIII1students of junior high schools that are valid and practical.1This research uses the method of1the 4-D model, namely define, design, develop, disseminate. The research subjects consisted of 5 people validating the1feasibility of content, language, presentation and graphics. The practicality test was carried out by 1 science teacher and 18 students. The results of product research in the form of props for human movement systems from used goods which were declared valid by the palidator were proven by the results of the validator's assessment that the content feasibility averaged 82%, presentation averaged 92%, and graphics averaged 97% overall percentage average -average 90.3%, (very valid). The teaching aids have also been declared practical, the average of the teachers is 3.76 (very practical), obtained by the average of the students is 3.44 (practical), so that the motion system teaching aids have been declared valid and practical.

Abstract

This research is motivated by the use of media in the Biology learning process at school which is not optimal. In biology learning there are terms in Latin that are used in learning. The existence of these terms makes students feel difficult in interpreting. Therefore, researchers developed a dictionary of scientific names of mammals as a support for students' biological learning at school. This study aims to describe the process of developing a dictionary of scientific names for mammals at SMA Negeri 11 Merangin and to produce a valid and practical dictionary of scientific names for class X SMA Negeri 11 Merangin. This research is a development research that uses the stages of the 4-D model which includes the define, design, and develop stages. In this study there were 6 validators with the research subjects consisting of 25 class X students of SMA Negeri 11 Merangin. This research instrument uses a validity questionnaire and a practicality questionnaire. Research data validation results and practicality of scientific name dictionaries, then analyzed with descriptive analysis. Based on the results of the study, it was obtained that the validity of the questionnaire data was 86% in terms of content feasibility, 89% in terms of language, 88% in terms of presentation, and 91% in terms of graphics, with an overall average percentage of questionnaire validity results of 88.5% (very valid). The dictionary of scientific names produced also obtained results in terms of ease of use of 3.6 stated to be very practical, in terms of learning time of 3.7 stated to be very practical, in terms of attractiveness of 3.7 stated to be very practical. So that the average product practicality was stated to be very practical by the teacher with an average value obtained, namely 3.6, the result of the teacher's assessment. So it can be concluded that the resulting dictionary of mammal animal scientific names is valid and practical.

Abstract

Kurangnya media pembelajaran yang menarik merupakan salah satu permasalahan yang mengilhami penelitian ini. Peneliti berupaya mengembangkan media pembelajaran Teka-Teki Silang di SMP Nidaul Qur'an Tanjung pada materi sistem pencernaan manusia karena selama ini pembelajaran masih terfokus pada pemanfaatan buku teks. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengembangkan produk media pembelajaran teka-teki silang (TTS) pada materi sistem pencernaan manusia untuk kelas VIII SMP yang valid dan praktis. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian pengembangan model 4-D, yang meliputi proses Define (pendefinisian), Design (perancangan), Developt (pengembangan) dan Dessiminate (penyebaran). Siswa kelas VIII dan guru IPA Terpadu SMP Nidaul Qur'an Tanjung sebagai subjek penelitian. Validator memberikan penilaian terhadap media teka-teki silang yang dikembangkan sangat valid. Validitas kelayakan materi media ini 100%, kebahasaan 100%, kegrafikan 91,66%. Skor rata-rata validitas media 97,915 %. Praktikalitas media oleh guru mendapat nilai 4,00, sedangkan praktikalitas oleh siswa 3,92. Berdasarkan uji praktikalitas, media Teka-Teki Silang yang dikembangkan sangat praktis dalam hal kemudahan penggunaan, waktu belajar, dan menarik sebagai media pembelajaran. Oleh karena itu, dapat disimpulkan bahwa media teka-teki silang pada pencernaan manusia kelas VIII SMP yang dikembangkan valid dan praktis.

Abstract

Penggunaan buku teks dan gambar sistem peredaran darah, yang secara visual tidak menarik dan padat secara konseptual, telah mengilhami penyelidikan ini. Guru juga belum mengembangkan alat peraga IPA berupa “Circulatory Bottle”. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk menciptakan sebuah alat edukasi “Circulatory Bottle” yang valid dan bermanfaat untuk pembelajaran siswa kelas VIII tentang sistem peredaran darah manusia. Jenis penelitian ini adalah penelitian pengembangan dengan menggunakan 4-D yang meliputi tahap define, design, develop dan disseminate. Dua puluh dua siswa kelas VIII SMP Negeri 54 Merangin disurvei bersama guru IPA dan empat validator untuk uji kepraktisan. Validator menerima produk berupa bahan ajar berdasarkan temuan penelitian ini. Berdasarkan hasil evaluasi validator ditetapkan kelayakan konten rata-rata 87%, penyajian rata-rata 79%, dan grafis mendapat rata-rata 87%, untuk rata-rata persentase keseluruhan 84%. (sangat valid). Sebagai hasil dari nilai perolehan rata-rata guru dan siswa masing-masing sebesar 3,86 (sangat praktis) dan 3,35 (praktis), "Circulatory Bottle" juga telah dinyatakan praktis, menetapkan kelayakan dan penerapan alat peraga terkait.
