Abstract

Facial recognition is a popular biometric security system used to authenticate individuals based on their unique facial structure. However, this system is vulnerable to spoofing attacks where the attacker can bypass the system using fake representations of the user's face such as photos, statues or videos. Liveness detection is a method used to address this issue by verifying that the user is a real person and not a representation. This journal article focuses on the life sign method of liveness detection, which utilizes facial movements to confirm the user's existence. We implement the latest technology of artificial intelligence from TensorFlow.js using face-api.js and compare it with the GLCM algorithm. However, even with the life sign detection method, there is still a chance of bypassing the system if an attacker uses a video recording. To mitigate this, we propose the addition of an object detection system to detect the hardware used to show video recordings with ml5.js. Our face recognition and expression detection system, using the pre-trained model face-api.js, achieved an accuracy of 85% and 82.5%, respectively, and the object detection system built with ml5.js has high accuracy and is very effective for liveness detection. Our results indicate that face-api.js outperformed GLCM algorithm in detecting spoofing attempts.

Abstract

Two-wheeled motorized vehicles provide a separate role in shortening travel time and can also save travel costs compared to using public transportation (city transportation). With the availability of motorized vehicle facilities for students, parents do not have to bother with their child's business going to school, so children can go to their own school. However, the presence of motorized vehicles brought by students to school resulted in a decrease in parental supervision of their children. Therefore, this study aims to create a monitoring and control system for website-based motor vehicle operations with the help of Arduino Uno, Neo Ublox 6M GPS Module, and SIM900 GSM Shield which is installed into a motorized vehicle that is useful as a motor vehicle controller. Using this system can increase parental supervision of children when using motorized vehicles. Arduino installed in motorized vehicles then waits for the GPS signal from the Neo Ublox 6M GPS Module, after that the GPS data will be sent to the web service using the SIM900 GSM Shield. The web service will calculate the distance between 2 points, that is, the zone of the zone with the location of the prototype after comparison with the size of the zone that has been determined, if the calculation results exceed the zone, the prototype will turn off the engine. From the results of GPS accuracy testing using HDOP has produced a good rating and the use of the GPS NEO module is feasible to be used as the current location data provider and also the prototype response to the zone has been tested and produces an average value of 14.8 seconds. Keywords: GPS, Arduino Uno, GPS Neo Ublox 6M module, GSM Shield SIM900, Vehicles monitoring system, web service.

Abstract

The Patuwen Kopi program initiated by Gereja Kristen Jawi Wetan (GKJW) involves four coffee farmer groups in Malang and Jombang that face significant challenges in product marketing. The primary problems include limited marketing access, dependency on middlemen, and lack of knowledge about digital marketing strategies, resulting in declining economic value of coffee products. This study aims to optimize the commercial value of agricultural products through the development of a website-based digital marketing platform to support the sustainability of the Patuwen Kopi program. The research employed Participatory Rural Appraisal (PRA) methodology consisting of four stages: problem identification using 5 Whys technique, community needs identification, determination of alternative solutions and problem-handling priorities, and identification of ideal solutions. This approach ensures active participation of farmer groups in formulating sustainable solutions. The study successfully developed an e-commerce website application with five main features: landing page for digital marketing media, product page for catalog and ordering, article page for community branding, admin page for dynamic content management, and transactional page for sales recording. The website is integrated with WhatsApp to facilitate communication and transactions, equipped with monthly sales reporting system. The developed digital platform successfully meets the needs of farmer groups in terms of digital marketing, community branding, and transaction recording. The application has undergone limited testing and meets community expectations to support the Patuwen Kopi program, with potential for further development according to future business needs.
