<![CDATA[Tujuan penelitian menganalisis efektivitas perlindungan hukum konsumen dalam registrasi SIM Card; dan (2) menganalisis faktor – faktor yang menyebabkan terjadinya penyalahgunaan data pribadi dalam proses registrasi data pribadi dalam proses registrasi SIM Card. Metode penelitian ini adalah penelitian hukum empiris. Hasil penelitian Efektivitas Perlindungan Hukum Terhadap Data Pribadi Konsumen Dalam Registrasi SIM Card Di Indosat belum efektif dikarenakan masih adanya ketidak tahuan masyarakat terhadap undang-undang perlindungan konsumen dan masih adanya beberapa oknum yang masih menyalahgunakan data pribadi orang lain secara ilegal. Adapun faktor-faktor yang mempengaruhi terjadinya penyalahgunaan data pribadi dalam registrasi SIM Card yaitu; 1. Faktor Pengetahuan Hukum, 2. Budaya Masyarakat, dan 3. Sarana dan Prasarana. The research objective is to analyze the effectiveness of consumer legal protection in SIM card registration, and (2) analyze the factors that lead to the misuse of personal data in the process of registering personal data in the SIM Card registration process. This research method is empirical legal research. The results of the research on the Effectiveness of Legal Protection of Consumer Personal Data in SIM Card Registration at Indosat have not been effective because there is still ignorance of public about consumer protection laws and there are still some individuals who still illegally abuse other people's personal data. The factors that influence the misuse of personal data in SIM card registration are; 1. Legal Knowledge Factor, 2. Community Culture, and 3. Facilities and Infrastructure.]]>
