Abstract

This study examines parental communication patterns in the development of socio-emotional skills among early childhood Generation Alpha in the digital era. Through a qualitative, phenomenological-critical approach involving 12 parents in Meulaboh, this research reveals three dominant communication patterns. The findings indicate: an integrative digital mediation combining active guidance with Islamic values; communication dissonance between ideal values and actual parental practices in digital contexts; and strategic technology appropriation for emotional-spiritual socialisation. The empirical findings were dialogically analysed with Qur'anic principles, particularly Q.S. Luqman regarding communication wisdom, Q.S. Al-Isra' concerning speech ethics, and Q.S. Al-Baqarah on moderation principles. This study contributes to the development of a value-based digital parenting model relevant to Indonesian Muslim families. Practical implications include the development of Islamic digital literacy programs that can assist parents in balancing technology use with children's holistic character development.

Abstract

The ups and downs of the development of Islam in Vietnam is the background of this paper. Based on history, Islam has long been rooted in Vietnam, but until now Islam is still being adopted by the Vietnamese government. Therefore the author wants to examine how the development of Islam in Vietnam? The research method is qualitative with content analysis techniques on issues related to Vietnam circulating in online media portals and literature reviews (books, scientific journals). In 1986 the life of Muslims in Vietnam began to improve since the Socialist Government began constructing the Doi Moi (Renovation) policy which allowed Muslims to organize themselves in Vietnam, worship in surau, and madrasas were allowed to teach Islamic religion. But the fact is that there are still inconveniences in worship because the Vietnamese police are still secretly monitoring religious activities in places of worship (mosques), Islamic education and Islamic understanding are prohibited in public education, nor is it justified to establish religious schools. This condition shows that the freedom of Muslims in Vietnam is not intact. The convenience of worship, if it is still in an atmosphere of surveillance, will certainly make the Muslim community there afraid and a sense of mutual suspicion will arise, both among the community and between government officials. The Cham Muslim community is still having a hard time getting a job in their country, especially elite jobs or the private sector and government. The challenge of Muslims is a factor that influences the dynamics of Islamic development in Champa.

Abstract

The TikTok application is loved by young Indonesians, especially in Aceh. Various content is presented in the TikTok application, thus making users interested and immersed in the content presented by content creators. This study aims to determine the motivation of the Acehnese people in using the TikTok application. To get answers to these two objectives, researchers used qualitative methods. The data collection techniques were carried out by observing and interviewing informants aged 20-40 years. The results showed that the people of Aceh were motivated to use the TikTok application for reasons due to the community's need to interact with the wider community as a form of self-actualisation in cyberspace, the TikTok application as a place to store one's memorable moments in the form of photos and videos, and other motivations are to express themselves through TikTok media.

Abstract

Intercultural communication cannot be avoided in communication process, including in da’wah. Dai (man preacher) and daiyah (woman preacher), whether they realize it or not, have practiced intercultural communication in their da'wah activities. There are important parts in intercultural communication that can cause success or failure in delivering da'wah. One important part is that dai and daiyah recognize their mad'u culture. Unfortunately, we still find dai and daiyah who have not implemented intercultural communication by taking into account mad'u's cultural differences when preaching, causing mad'u to be less enthusiastic and even no longer willing to attend da'wah studies. Researchers used qualitative methods. In an effort to obtain information related to this, the researcher interviewed mad'u in depth, who is a young intellectual who often participates in religious studies, both on campus, outside campus and at the mosque. The results of data mining from informants found that we still found, 1) dai and daiyah who preach by equating or assuming that every mad'u is the same without realizing that the mad'u present come from diverse cultures, 2) dai and daiyah who stereotype to their mad'u, 3) dai and daiyah who are less sensitive and misinterpret mad'u's nonverbal messages, 4) dai and daiyah who are less able to adjust their language when preaching, 5) dai and daiyah who negatively assess the differences between themselves and mad 'u.
