Abstract

The style or method of a school principal in his capacity as a leader will determine the success of improving teacher performance under his leadership. The purpose of this study was to analyze the principal's leadership style in improving teacher performance and motivation. This research was conducted at Madrasah Tsanawiyah Negeri 3 Aek Natas with a total of 58 respondents. Data collection techniques were carried out using interview, observation and documentation methods. Data analysis techniques are carried out with 3 paths, namely data reduction, data presentation, and drawing conclusions. The results showed that the principal's leadership style applied in schools was able to improve teacher performance. What the principal does is to set an example for the teacher and hold strict supervision and supervision of the teacher in carrying out teaching and learning tasks. The principal also gives appreciation to teachers who excel to be a motivation for other teachers. In terms of increasing teacher motivation, the principal provides a comfortable work environment where young teachers and senior teachers mingle with each other and senior teachers share experiences with young teachers, for example in terms of obtaining professional allowances such as teacher certification. The principal also provides high wages to honorary teachers so that they are able to meet the daily needs of teachers which has a positive impact on teachers because teachers are enthusiastic in carrying out the tasks assigned by the school

Abstract

This study was motivated by the importance of innovative learning media in improving students’ learning outcomes in Islamic Religious Education. Learning processes that are still predominantly based on conventional methods often limit students’ active engagement, resulting in suboptimal learning achievement. Therefore, this study aimed to analyze the effect of Canva-based learning media on the learning outcomes of eleventh-grade students at Broadcasting Bina Creative (BBC) Vocational High School, Medan. The study employed a quantitative approach with a correlational research design. The population consisted of all eleventh-grade students, while the sample comprised 30 students selected using a predetermined sampling technique. Data were collected through questionnaires and documentation and were analyzed using validity, reliability, classical assumption, t-test, and coefficient of determination analyses with the assistance of IBM SPSS Statistics 25. The findings revealed that Canva-based learning media had a positive and significant effect on students’ learning outcomes, as indicated by a t-test significance value of 0.008 (< 0.05). Furthermore, the coefficient of determination (R Square) value of 0.585 indicated that Canva contributed 58.5% to the improvement of students’ learning outcomes, while the remaining 41.5% was influenced by other factors. These findings confirm that Canva is an effective digital learning medium for enhancing the quality of Islamic Religious Education learning.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis pengaruh penggunaan paper-based visual media (media visual berbasis kertas) terhadap penguasaan mufradat (kosa kata) bahasa Arab peserta didik kelas VII SMP Swasta IT Al Munadi Medan. Penelitian menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif dengan desain one-group pretest-posttest. Sampel penelitian terdiri atas peserta didik kelas VII yang dipilih menggunakan teknik sampling sesuai dengan karakteristik penelitian. Data dikumpulkan melalui tes penguasaan mufradat yang diberikan sebelum (pretest) dan sesudah (posttest) perlakuan. Analisis data dilakukan secara deskriptif dan inferensial melalui uji normalitas, uji homogenitas, serta uji paired sample t-test untuk mengetahui perbedaan hasil belajar sebelum dan sesudah penggunaan media. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa penggunaan paper-based visual media memberikan pengaruh positif terhadap penguasaan mufradat bahasa Arab peserta didik. Hal ini ditunjukkan oleh adanya peningkatan nilai rata-rata posttest dibandingkan pretest yang diperkuat oleh hasil uji statistik yang menunjukkan perbedaan signifikan setelah perlakuan diberikan. Media visual berbasis kertas mampu membantu peserta didik memahami, mengingat, dan menguasai kosakata bahasa Arab melalui penyajian materi yang konkret, menarik, dan mudah dipahami. Dengan demikian, paper-based visual media dapat dijadikan sebagai salah satu alternatif media pembelajaran yang efektif dalam meningkatkan penguasaan mufradat bahasa Arab di tingkat sekolah menengah pertama

Abstract

This study aims to examine the relationship between PAI teachers' creativity in integrating Islamic values and students' social and spiritual competencies. A quantitative research method was employed, as the collected data were analyzed using statistical techniques. The findings indicate that the creativity level of PAI teachers falls into the “very good” category, with an average score of 4.35. The highest indicator appears in the use of digital media and varied learning methods, such as Islamic video materials, interactive presentations, and the Quizizz platform. Meanwhile, the lowest indicator is found in innovative learning evaluation, suggesting that project-based authentic assessment still requires improvement. These results show that teachers' creativity has a positive relationship with students' social and spiritual competence development.
