Family plays an important role in children’s growth and development. The mechanism of co-parenting is empirically proven to have an impact in marital relationship and child development. However, the number of empirical studies on co-parenting in Indonesia is still very limited. The purpose of this study is to examine the issue of co-parenting among parents in Indonesia and to understand ways to develop effective co-parenting. This study uses a qualitative method approach. The data collection method used in this study is focused group discussion to 30 participants, including 15 fathers and 15 mothers. The study found that imbalances in the division of roles between partners and the difficulties in finding agreements are the biggest challenges for fathers and mothers. This study also found that there are four factors to implement an effective co-parenting, which are discussion, agreement in task division, giving appreciation, and good parenting references.

COVID-19 pandemic impacts the mobility of adults, especially the elderly. The elderly have experienced a significant impact due to the COVID-19 pandemic. One of the impacts experienced by the elderly is isolation from the surrounding environment. The beliefs or expectations of the elderly on the behavior of children to pay attention and care for themselves in old age can affect the well-being of the elderly. When expectations do not match reality, the elderly will feel disappointed, angry, stressed, and feel lonely in their lives. The purpose of this study was to determine the impact of forgiveness therapy on the loneliness score of the elderly. This study involved three participants aged 70-80 years. Data analysis in this study used the paired sample t-test. The instruments used are the UCLA loneliness and Heartland Forgiveness Scale (HFS). The results showed that there was a difference in loneliness scores in the elderly before and after following forgiveness therapy (sig 0.008 <0.05).

Increasing achievement motivation in children, parents need tools to educate them about co-parenting and how to develop achievement motivation in children. Parents also need a means to discuss their parenting patterns and monitor their children. This research aims to develop a coparenting-based mobile application. This type of research is development research that follows the ADDIE development model. The data collection method uses a questionnaire. The data collection instrument uses a questionnaire sheet. The validation sheet is filled in by psychology, technology, and design experts. 92 parents of elementary school students also tested this application in grades 4-6. The data analysis technique uses qualitative and quantitative descriptive analysis. The results of the research, namely expert validation, show that the Duet application has content that is very suitable and useful for helping parents improve co-parenting in order to develop children's achievement motivation (96.30%), is very technologically reliable (83.20%), and has very good design effectiveness (93.33% ). The results of trials on parents showed that this application was very well accepted by parents (81.09%). It was concluded that DUET, a co-parenting-based mobile application, can be used as a tool for parents to develop co-parenting to increase children's achievement motivation. The implication of this research is that the coparenting-based mobile application developed can be used by teachers and parents to improve children's achievement.

The research aimed to investigate factors that contributed to persistent suicide ideation. Peer rejection had a significantly adverse impact on mental health and could lead to the development of suicidal thoughts. The Interpersonal Theory of Suicide (IPTS) stated that suicide ideation was formed by feelings of thwarted belongingness and perceived burdensomeness, in which the former manifested from an obstructed need to belong. Prior research had been divided on the role of thwarted belongingness in suicide ideation formation; while the current research aimed to provide clarity on this matter. The research applied a qualitative method with a phenomenological design. Data collection was carried out using semi-structured, inductive interviews with each participant. Participants were young adults with experience in peer rejection and a minimum of 1 year of ongoing suicide ideation. Results show support for the IPTS and the role of thwarted belongingness in suicide ideation formation. Additionally, two factors for the maintenance of suicide ideation are identified, namely heightened sensitivity to rejection and habituation to suicidal thinking. Findings contribute to previously inconclusive and minimal research on the IPTS and maintenance of suicide ideation respectively. Future research should be conducted regarding the latter matter as it is a serious risk factor for suicide attempts. Suggestions for future intervention are discussed.

In Indonesia, 448.126 divorce cases were reported in 2023. Losing parent(s) as a consequence of parental divorce or death results in children becoming broken-home. In the absence of a parent figure, children experience harmful psychological effects, including ongoing social anxiety until they become young adults. This may disrupt young adults’ developmental task to form intimacy hence leading to poor psychological well-being. Young adults from broken home families must possess hardiness to cope with daily stress and traumatic experiences. Therefore, this study aimed to investigate the role of social anxiety disorder and hardiness in psychological well-being among broken-home young adults. Participants of this study were 200 young adults with broken-home family. The scales used were The Indonesian version of the Psychological Well-being Scale, The Social Phobia Inventory (SPIN), and the DRS-15 Dispositional Resilience Scale. Data was analyzed using the Multiple Regression Model. The results showed that there was a significant contribution of social anxiety disorder and hardiness on psychological well-being, with a total contribution of 53.8 percent. It is recommended for future interventions to detect social anxiety disorder potency, as well as to include hardiness variable in optimizing psychological well-being quality, especially in broken-home young adults.
