Abstract

Industrial development in each sector positively impacts the economy, and this also correlates with higher work accidents. Work accidents show an increasing trend every year, and the value of payment claims increases, so an analysis of work activities is needed. One job with a high accident rate is manufacturing work, PT. XYZ is an industrial company that produces spare parts. Hazard Identification Risk Assessment (HIRA) is a method for identifying and assessing the risks of each work activity. The purpose of this research is to identify activities at PT. XYZ using the Hazard Identification Risk Assessment (HIRA) method, observations were made on one of the production lines at PT. XYZ. The results found that from 7 activities in the observed production line, 10 potential hazards occurred, were 5 activities had a high risk of hobbing gear kick machines, lathes, and welding machines. Then the other 5 activities have a moderate risk: hobbing machines, broaching & drilling machines, CNC machines, and final check tables. Minimize the occurrence of exposure done is by using hierarchy of control.

Abstract

Memberikan sebuah layanan prima kepada pelanggan merupakan tantangan wajib yang dihadapi oleh pemilik kantin. Kualitas layanan yang diberikan kepada pelanggan dianggap sebagai faktor penting keberhasilan penyedia layanan karena berdampak kepada kepuasan pelanggan. Kecepatan penyajian merupakan atribut penting dalam menyajikan makanan atau minuman kepada pelanggan. Keunggulan kompetitif dapat dicapai dengan memberikan pelayanan terbaik yang dilihat dari waktu penyajian makanan sehingga akan memiliki dampak terhadap kepuasan pelanggan dan profitabilitas. Pelayanan kantin disekitar Politeknik dipilih sebagai tempat pengambilan data untuk mendapatkan gambaran mengenai kualitas pelayanan. Tujuan penelitian yaitu untuk mengevaluasi pelayanan saat ini. Penelitian ini akan berfokus pada kecepatan penyajian pada kios makanan dan minuman. Proses pengambilan data dilakukan pada saat jam sibuk atau jam makan siang yang ditentukan mulai pukul 11.00 WIB – 13.00 WIB. Metode analisa statistik digunakan untuk menentukan performa kualitas pelayanan penyajian makanan ataupun minuman. Analisis statistik inferensial yang digunakan yaitu t-test dan analisa regresi. Dalam perhitungan secara statistik didapatkan nilai rata-rata waktu pelayanan penyajian makanan pada hari pertama adalah 54,07 detik sedangkan untuk hari kedua adalah 55,71 detik.  Untuk penyajian minuman didapatkan data nilai rata-rata waktu pelayanan pada hari pertama adalah 44,15 detik. Untuk hari kedua nilai rata-rata dari waktu pelayanan 4,44 detik. Dari analisis regresi didapatkan hubungan berbanding lurus antara banyak jumlah makanan dengan waktu pelayanan. Untuk minuman didapatkan waktu pelayanan yang konsisten dari jenis minuman yang dipesan. Sehingga dapat disimpulkan bahwa kualitas pelayanan setiap harinya memiliki perbedaan signifikan secara statistik sehingga diperlukan evaluasi lebih lanjut. Standar baku waktu pelayanan juga perlu ditentukan oleh pemilik kantin.

Abstract

The process of installing clips and wiring on the dump truck assembly line with an uncomfortable working posture of the operator, so that complaints due to fatigue often occur. This is because at the time of installation the part the operator has to bend because it is blocked by the battery. This study aims to assess the operator's work posture during the process of installing the clips and wiring, so that the risks obtained due to fatigue due to work can be known. The method used in this study is the Rapid Upper Limb Assessment (RULA) method. This method begins by distributing the Nordic Body Map (NBM) questionnaire to find out which parts of the body feel pain and fatigue. Based on the measurement results, the angle of the upper arm is 450 – 900 with a score value = 3, the lower arm is formed with an angle of 00 – 600 with a score = 2, the wrist part forms an angle of >150 with a score = 2. The results of the RULA table assessment based on the angles formed for each section, namely part A score=7, part B score 11, and part C score as end=7 are included in the high risk. Recommendations that can be given for high risk are observation and application of remedies.

Abstract

Quality is when it meets the wants and expectations of customers or even exceeds them. Every company must raise the quality of its current products and services. A complete and adaptable approach for establishing, maintaining, and maximizing company success is Six Sigma. Define, Measure, Analyze, Improve, and Control (DMAIC) is one of the tools used to implement Six Sigma. PT. KRM is one company engaged in the automotive sector, which produces Colt Diesel trucks. This research focuses on the welding processes. Defective products were found in as much as 5% of total production, exceeding the company's target of 3%. This research was conducted to determine the process capability based on product defects with the Six Sigma DMAIC method approach, then to find out the proposal for implementing quality control by analyzing the causes of defects in the production process and then looking for continuous improvement with the 5W+1H concept. The improvement was made to decrease the DPMO value of 4.496 and increase the sigma value of 0.19. This study demonstrates how the Six Sigma DMAIC approach can improve the quality of the cabin production process for the part side outer pillar LH. This case can help company managers apply Six Sigma methods to solve complex problems in other processes.
