Abstract

Abstrak: Kepala sekolah memegang peranan penting dalam menjalankan sekolah. Dia memiliki tanggung jawab keseluruhan untuk proses pembelajaran yang berkelanjutan di sekolah. Kepala sekolah harus mampu memberikan ide-ide cemerlang dan menguasai pemikiran baru di lingkungan sekolah dengan mengubah atau menyesuaikan tujuan dan sasaran program pembelajaran. Sebagai pemimpin, kepala sekolah harus menjadi inovator. Oleh karena itu, kualitas kepemimpinan kepala sekolah sangat penting karena merupakan kunci keberhasilan proses pembelajaran di sekolah. Pendidikan merupakan salah satu bidang penting bagi pembangunan suatu bangsa dan negara. Apabila pembangunan suatu bangsa tidak dibarengi dan dibarengi dengan pembangunan moralitas, etika, dan etika bangsa, maka pembangunan itu akan menjadi tidak seimbang.

Abstract

Rasanya sangat miris ketika dunia pendidikan sudah tak aman bagi para siswanya. Sekolah yang seharusnya tempat aman untuk menimba ilmu, tapi malah menjadi petaka bagi para siswanya. Kepala sekolah yang seharusnya menjadi role model bagi guru dan siswanya ini malah menjadi sosok yang tak pantas untuk dihormati. Dalam artikel ini saya membahas tentang kasus yang terjadi di Toraja, korbannya adalah siswa SMP. Kecacatan kepala sekolah inilah yang dapat mempengaruhi citra sekolah. Citra sekolah yang harusnya ditingkatkan sebagai bahan untuk memperbaiki Pendidikan ini malah menghilangkan kepercayaan masyarakat. Tentu masyarakat pasti ada rasa ketakutan untuk menyekolahkan anaknya. Belum lagi rasa trauma yang dimiliki korban. Semua ini menjadi bahan evaluasi bagi kita semua, masalah pendidikan adalah masalah kita semua. Sebab, lahirnya peradaban dari pendidikan. Untuk menjadikan seseorang sebagai kepala sekolahnya hendaknya ada seleksi, harus mengetahui sikap, sifat, perilaku, dan catatan riwayat di masa lalunya.

Abstract

In the teaching profession there is a code of ethics to uphold the dignity of the profession, to protect and maintain the welfare of its members, to increase the dedication of members of the profession, to improve the quality of the profession and to improve the quality of professional organizations. With a code of ethics, teachers are expected to be able to function optimally and professionally, especially in developing the character and ethics of students and upholding the authority of the educational institution and profession. This study aims to describe the application of the school's code of ethics in educational institutions and how the school's code of ethics can improve professionalism in learning. In this study, the authors used a qualitative descriptive research approach and type, with data sources from school principals at the Pamekasan Education Institute, teachers and relevant secondary sources. The results of this study are that the school code of ethics in educational institutions is a way of increasing teacher professionalism so that they comply with the regulations that have been set and agreed upon by the management of educational institutions. The teacher code of ethics which was developed into a school code of ethics is considered an effective method in the process of increasing the professionalism of teachers in this school.

Abstract

Ethics is an important requirement for all existing professions so as not to take actions that deviate from the law. Ethics are life values and norms and laws that govern human behavior. The rationale underlying the preparation of professional ethics is the need for the profession regarding public trust in the quality of services provided by the profession, regardless of the members of the profession who provide the service. The application of professional ethics which is part of professional ethics relates to how they must carry out their profession in a professional manner so that accepted by society. With the application of professional ethics it is expected that professionals can work as well as possible, and can be accountable for the tasks carried out in terms of job demands. The school principal as a leader is directly a real example in the activities of his subordinates. If you want good subordinates/employees, then the principal the school first sets a good example too. A good school principal should always comply with the code of ethics of the profession. As an educated human being, of course the principal is expected to always uphold the dignity of the principal's good name.

Abstract

code of ethics and teacher professionalism in improving the quality of education, in this study the authors used a qualitative descriptive analysis, namely the library research approach. The results of this study are being able to know the nature of the teacher because the teacher is the person who plays a role in the effort to form human potential by developing all the talents that exist in students. Teachers must also be able to play an active role in educating students and be able to place their position as teaching staff. Teacher competence in improving the quality of education is divided into four parts, namely pedagogic competence, personal competence, social competence and professional competence. The type of teacher is to have a commitment to improve the quality of education, faith, piety, and noble character. Teachers who have good academic qualifications, competencies and educational backgrounds have responsibility for carrying out professional duties and guaranteeing legal protection. In fact, the profession held has the authority to regulate those related to teacher professionalism. The challenges faced by teachers today are the rapid development of information technology, decentralization and centralization of education.

Abstract

The position of an education unit manager, namely the school principal, is an additional mandate given to teachers to lead. A school principal, of course, has a period in which the period lasts for four years. If he has matured for four years, his position as a school principal must end. Law No. 19 of 2005 which discusses national standards of education and based on the Decree of the Minister of National Education No. 162/U/2003 discusses a guideline for affirming an educator as an educational staff; school. Referring to the various kinds of policies that have regulated the performance development mentioned above, there are separate references before an educator occupies this position, before occupying this position he must first serve as deputy principal of the school, because an educator who has previously served as deputy principal has More value than that, which position can be beneficial for career development. Regarding matters of quality improvement for a school or educational institution, a school principal must prepare a recruitment nomination which includes education and training for prospective school principals who have certified abilities or competencies as well as school principal work assessments in accordance with the applicable code of ethics. And the problem of the workload of an educational staff manager is very heavy for them. For example, teaching assignments for six hours a week, which is actually very ineffective for a school principal, and ends up not being completed. This is very easy to understand because as a school principal, his work is not only to carry out his managerial duties, but he also has other burdens to carry. Therefore this article will discuss the application and any problems contained in the application of the code of ethics for education unit managers.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the implementation of the teacher's code of ethics in improving the quality of education through strategies and principles of professionalism in Islamic educational institutions. This study uses a qualitative method with a descriptive approach. Data obtained through observation, interviews, and documentation. The results of the study show that the implementation of the teacher's code of ethics in Islamic education institutions has been carried out well, but there are still some obstacles in its implementation. These obstacles include the lack of socialization regarding the teacher's code of ethics to teachers, the teacher's lack of understanding of the teacher's code of ethics, and the lack of sanctions given to teachers who violate the code of ethics. To improve the quality of education, Islamic educational institutions implement strategies and principles of professionalism, namely increasing teacher competence through training and seminars, applying innovative learning methods, and developing a quality evaluation system. From the results of this study, it is suggested to Islamic education institutions to further increase socialization regarding the teacher's code of ethics, increase teachers' understanding of the code of ethics, and provide strict sanctions to teachers who violate the code of ethics. In addition, Islamic educational institutions must also continue to improve strategies and principles of professionalism to improve the quality of education.
