Abstract

This research aims to determine the effect of learning style, emotional intelligence, and adversity quotient on the second-grade students’ mathematics learning achievement of Islamic Senior High School. The type of this research is ex post facto, where the total sample used is 100 students selected using random sampling technique. The data was obtained through a learning style questionnaire, emotional intelligence, adversity quotient, and mathematics learning achievement tests. The data were analyzed using descriptive statistics and inferential statistics using multiple linear regression analysis. The result showed that: (1) There is no difference in the type of learning style in affecting students’ mathematics learning achievement. (2) Students’ emotional intelligence has a positive but not significant effect on their mathematics learning achievement. (3) Students’ Adversity quotient has a positive but not significant effect on their mathematics learning achievement. (4) Learning style, emotional intelligence, and adversity quotient have no significant effect on students’ mathematics learning achievement.

Abstract

Learning concept of fraction is one of the obstacles faced by teachers in schools. Through the Community Partnership Program (CPM) activities, mathematics teachers are getting involved in learning together using APM integrated concept of a realistic mathematical approach. This activity was carried out on August 24, 2019, at SMAN 5 Gowa, Gowa Regency, Tinggi Moncong District. The successful implementation of the activity supported by collaboration between the Department of Mathematics and MGMP at the junior and senior high schools of Gowa Regency. The method of implementing the activity was the training of Mathematics MGMP teachers in Gowa Regency. This training activity involved 6 participants who came from different schools including SMPN 1 Tinggimoncong, SMPN 2 Tinggimoncong, PGRI Sungguminasa Middle School, SMPN 1 Pallangga, and SMPN 5 Pallangga. In addition to teachers getting involved in receiving material and following interactive information provided during training activities, they were also asked to give responses to the activities they participated. This activity responded with enthusiasm where various activities designed in such a way as to provide a meaningful learning experience for them. The process that followed turned out to be enough to inspire them on how to learn fraction material with the integrated APM concept of a realistic mathematics approach. The impact can be looked from 2 positive changes to participants, namely directing the teacher's paradigm of learning to involve learning media and introducing the involvement of realistic mathematical approaches in learning activities.

Abstract

Abstrak. Pelatihan Desain Pembelajaran Abad 21 untuk Pendidik di Kabupaten Pangkep ini bertujuan untuk melatih Guru SMA di Pangkep dalam mendesain pembelajaran Abad ke-21. Pelatihan ini dapat membantu pendidik mempelajari bagaimana 21CLD mendukung pengintegrasian teknologi pembelajran, dan lainnya, ke dalam kurikulum mereka. Dimensi dalam pembelajaran 21CLD terdiri dari Konstruksi pengetahuan, Kolaborasi, Pemecahan masalah dan inovasi dunia nyata, Komunikasi yang terampil, Regulasi diri, dan Teknologi informasi dan komunikasi (TIK) untuk pembelajaran. Kegiatan PKM ini dilaksanakan dalam bentuk upgrading untuk memberikan pengetahuan dan keterampilan kepada guru-guru MGMP Matematika di Kabupaten Pangkep tentang Desain Pembelajaran menggunakan keterampilan 4C. Abstract

Penelitian ini adalah penelitian kualitatif dengan metode deskripsi yang bertujuan untuk mengetahui kreativitas siswa dalam menyelesaikan soal berbasis TIMSS domain kognitif. Subjek penelitian sebanyak enam siswa dari kelas VIII C SMPN 2 Barombong. Pengambilan subjek dilakukan berdasarkan kemampuan awal matematika kelas VIII C yang kemudian dari hasil tersebut dikelompokkan siswa yang berkemampuan tinggi dan rendah. Instrumen yang digunakan untuk pengumpulan data adalah tes kreativitas matematika dan pedoman wawancara. Penelitian ini mengacu pada tiga aspek kemampuan berpikir kreatif yaitu kefasihan, keluwesan, dan kebaruan. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa (1) subjek pada domain kognitif penerapan konten aljabar yang berkemampuan awal tinggi memenuhi aspek kefasihan dan keluwesan. Artinya memperoleh tingkat kemampuan berfikir kreatif 3 (kreatif); (2) subjek pada domain kognitif penerapan konten aljabar tidak memenuhi aspek kefasihan, keluwesan, dan kebaruan. Artinya kemampuan awal rendah memperoleh tingkat kemampuan berfikir kreatif 0 (tidak kreatif); (3) subjek pada domain kognitif penalaran konten aljabar bahwa kemampuan awal tinggi memenuhi aspek keluwesan. Artinya memperoleh tingkat kemampuan berfikir kreatif 2 (cukup kreatif); (4) subjek pada domain kognitif penalaran konten aljabar bahwa kemampuan awal rendah tidak memenuhi aspek kefasihan, keluwesan, dan kebaruan. Artinya memperoleh tingkat kemampuan berfikir kreatif 0 (tidak kreatif).Kata kunci: kreativitas, aljabar, TIMSS, kemampuan awal matematikaThe research is a qualitative study using a descriptive method that aims to determaine students’ creativity in solving TIMSS-based questions the cognitive domain. The subjects in this study were six students from the VIII C class of SMPN 2 Barombong. The research’s subject is based on the mathematical ability result of the VIII C class. Then, the result is divides students into two categories of mathematical ability: students with high and low abilities. The researcher used the creativity test and interview guidelines to collect the data. The result of this study indicates that (1) the subject in the cognitive domain of applying algebraic content, high initial abilities meet the aspects of fluency and flexibility. Which meant that obtained creative thinking ability level 3 (creative); (2) the subject in the cognitive domain of applying algebraic content, low initial abilities do not meet the aspects of fluency, flexibility, and novelty. Which meant that obtained creative thinking ability level 0 (not creative); (3) the subject n the cognitive domain of reasoning algebraic content that high initial abilities meet the aspect of flexibility. Which meant that obtain creative thinking ability level 2 (creative enough); (4) the subjects in the cognitive domain of reasoning algebraic content that low initial abilities do not meet the aspects of fluency, flexibility, and novelty. Abstract

Penelitian ini adalah penelitian kualitatif dengan pendekatan deskriptif yang bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan kemampuan berpikir kreatif siswa SMA dalam menyelesaikan soal matematika pada materi sistem persamaan linear dua variabel (SPLDV) ditinjau dari kemampuan awal matematika. Penelitian ini menggunakan 6 subjek siswa SMA kelas XI MIPA 2 berdasarkan kemampuan awal matematika yang dari hasil tes tersebut dikelompokkan menjadi kemampuan awal tinggi, sedang, dan rendah. Selanjutnya, dipilih masing-masing dua siswa untuk dijadikan subjek penelitian. Teknik pengumpulan data dalam penelitian ini adalah tes dan wawancara. Instrumen yang digunakan adalah tes kemampuan matematika, tes kemampuan awal matematika dan wawancara. Teknik analisis data dalam penelitian ini yaitu kondensasi data, penyajian data dan penarikan kesimpulan. Analisis tes kemampuan matematika mengacu pada tiga aspek kemampuan berpikir kreatif yaitu fluency, flexibility, dan novelty. Adapun hasil penelitian diperoleh bahwa (1) Siswa dengan kemampuan awal tinggi memperoleh tingkat 3, karena memenuhi 2 (dua) aspek kemampuan berpikir kreatif yaitu kefasihan (fluency) dan keluwesan (flexibility);(2) Siswa dengan kemampuan awal sedang memperoleh tingkat 3, karena memenuhi 2 (dua) aspek kemampuan berpikir kreatif yaitu kefasihan (fluency) dan kebaruan (novelty);(3) Siswa dengan kemampuan awal rendah memperoleh tingkat 1, karena memenuhi 1 (satu) aspek kemampuan berpikir kreatif yaitu kefasihan (fluency).Kata Kunci: Berpikir Kreatif, Matematika, SMA, SPLDV

Abstract

Abstract. Humans' natural mathematical abilities have propelled civilizations forward. Mathematics is an integral component of all cultural contexts, and the significance of all cultural contexts is influenced by the individual's interpretation within that culture. These interpretations have been demonstrated in cultural heritage, particularly traditional houses, which show evidence of intuitive mathematics ability. Tribes worldwide have built traditional houses in their distinct styles. The current study included data collection through documentation, observation, and interviews. Camera images, aerial camera images, and documentation techniques were used to observe several traditional buildings in Indonesia. We used projective geometry and simple house theory  to analyze of the sample of traditional Houses. The result of the traditional house are (1) traditional house from NTB (west Nusa Tenggara)  and Wajo ( Saoraja Latenri Bali) have building numbers and Projective coordinate  , and chategorized as Simple house IV (2)Traditionla houses from Sidrap  and Bone is categorized as simple house V with projective coordinate  Keywords: House Theory, Projective Geometry, Traditional Houses, Building Numbers, Projective Coordinates
