Abstract

Abstract. Tracing and Adapting Local Wisdoms to Establish Affective Values of Students at Elementary School Mathematics Instruction. The research aims at exploring and adapting aspects of indigenous wisdoms and culture of Bugis Makassar to be integrated in the instruction of elementary school mathematics. This exploratory research employs ethnographic methods. The data were collected through focus group discussion (FGD), in-depth interviews, questionnaires, observation sheets, student response sheets, and documentation. The results of the data analysis show that as a whole for all classes at the elementary school level, there were 177 pieces of indigenous wisdoms consisting of 62 pieces in Makassarese language ​​and 115 pieces in Buginese language. Potential affective abilities of students showed a better trend. Abstrak. Penelusuran dan Adaptasi Kearifan Lokal untuk Membangun Nilai Afektif Siswa pada Pembelajaran Matematika SD. Penelitian bertujuan untuk menelusuri dan mengadaptasi aspek kearifan lokal budaya suku Bugis-Makassar untuk diintegrasikan dalam pembelajaran matematika sekolah dasar. Jenis penelitian ini adalah penelitian eksploratif dengan metode etnografi. Pengumpulan data melalui metode Focus Group Discussion (FGD), wawancara mendalam, angket, lembar observasi, lembar respon siswa,  dan dokumentasi.  Hasil penelitian menujukkan, bahwa secara keseluruhan untuk semua kelas pada jenjang Sekolah Dasar banyaknya kearifan lokal yang diperoleh dalam penelitian ini adalah 177 kearifan lokal, 62 kearifan lokal yang menggunakan bahasa Makassar dan 115 kearifan lokal yang menggunakan bahasa Bugis. Potensi kemampuan afektif siswa menunjukkan kecenderungan yang lebih baik. Kata kunci: kearifan lokal, afektif, pembelajaran matematika

Abstract

The purpose of this research was to examine undergraduates' understanding of the central tendency measure from a decision-making perspective. The research adopted a qualitative method by employing an interview and test to obtain the data.  It enrolled 93 undergraduate students who had previously studied basic statistics and applied statistics. Four students were selected for interviews out of the 93 participants. The analysis model used included data condensation, data visualization, and conclusion and verification. A large number of students were unable to provide explanations for their decisions. The majority of students related the test with the necessity of calculating an average or selecting a more straightforward measure. None of the students was aware of the presence and effect of outliers in the data. The undergraduate students demonstrated a lack of awareness of the factors that could influence their decision-making. The students did not consider other variables. The majority of them were unaware of the benefits and drawbacks of using mean, median, and mode to describe data.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh gaya belajar, kecerdasan emosional dan adversity quotient terhadap prestasi belajar matematika siswa kelas XI MAN. Jenis penelitian yang digunakan adalah penelitian ex post facto dengan jumlah sampel 100 siswa yang dipilih dengan menggunakan teknik random sampling. Teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan instrumen angket gaya belajar, kecerdasan emosional dan adversity quotient, serta instrumen tes prestasi belajar matematika. Data hasil penelitian dianalisis dengan statistik deskriptif dan statistik inferensial menggunakan analisis regresi linear berganda. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa: (1) Tidak ada perbedaan tipe gaya belajar dalam mempengaruhi prestasi belajar matematika siswa. (2) Kecerdasan emosional memiliki pengaruh yang positif dan tidak signifikan terhadap prestasi belajar matematika siswa. (3) Adversity quotient memiliki pengaruh yang positif dan tidak signifikan terhadap prestasi belajar matematika siswa. (4) Gaya belajar, kecerdasan emosional, dan adversity quotient secara bersama-sama memiliki pengaruh yang tidak signifikan terhadap prestasi belajar matematika siswa. (2) Student’s emotional intelligence has a positive but not significant effect on their mathematics learning achievement. (3) Students’ Adversity quotient has a positive but not significant effect on their mathematics learning achievement. Abstract

Abstract:The accountant profession in the 21st century requires good critical thinking skills so that developing the skills needed in the 21st century is necessary in the accounting student’ learning environment. Therefore, the technology can be used as a medium for learning and communication between the students and the lecturers. In addition, the problem based learning model as a learning that requires the students to actively participate in each learning to develop the critical thinking skills so that the integration between problem-based face-to-face learning and learning utilizing technology in e-learning media is expected to improve the students’ critical thinking skills and the learning motivation. The research aims to: (1) find out the implementation of an effective blended learning model towards the students’ critical thinking skills and the learning motivation, and (2) to find out the difference in the students’ critical thinking skills and the learning motivation between the experimental class and the control class. This research is a quasi experimental research with non equivalent control group design. The study used one experimental group and one control group. The population in this study was the students who took introductory courses in accounting and accounting information systems so that the samples were taken by using purposive sampling technique. The instruments used are the essay test for the critical thinking skills and the questionnaire for the learning motivation. The data analysis techniques used are paired sample t test and independent sample t test assisted by SPSS 26.00. The findings show that: (1) the results of the paired simple t test show that the implementation of the blended learning model effectively improve the students’ critical thinking skills and the learning motivation, and (2) The results of the independent simple t test show that the students’ critical thinking skills and the learning motivation of the experimental class have a significant difference with the students of the control class.Abstrak:Profesi akuntan pada abad 21 membutuhkan keterampilan berpikir kritis yang baik sehingga diperlukan lingkungan belajar mahasiswa akuntansi yang mampu mengembangkan keterampilan yang dibutuhkan di abad 21. Oleh karena itu, teknologi dapat dimanfaatkan sebagai media untuk belajar dan komunikasi antara mahasiswa dan dosen. Selain itu, model problem based learning sebagai pembelajaran yang menuntut mahasiswa berpartisipasi aktif dalam setiap pembelajaran untuk mengembangkan keterampilan berpikir kritisnya sehingga integrasi antara pembelajaran tatap muka berbasis problem based learning dengan pembelajaran yang memanfaatkan teknologi di media e-learning diharapkan dapat meningkatkan keterampilan berpikir kritis dan motivasi belajar mahasiswa. Adapun penelitian ini bertujuan untuk: (1) mengetahui implementasi model blended learning yang efektif terhadap keterampilan berpikir kritis dan motivasi belajar mahasiswa, (2) mengetahui perbedaan keterampilan berpikir kritis dan motivasi belajar mahasiswa antara kelas eksperimen dengan kelas control. Penelitian ini merupakan quasi experimental dengan desain non equivalent control group design. Penelitian ini menggunakan satu kelompok eksperimen dan satu kelompok kontrol. Populasi pada penelitian ini adalah mahasiswa yang mengambil mata kuliah pengantar akuntansi dan sistem informasi akuntansi sehingga sampel diambil secara purposive sampling.  Teknik pengumpulan data untuk keterampilan berpikir kritis adalah tes sedangkan untuk motivasi belajar menggunakan angket. Teknik analisis data yang digunakan adalah paired sample t test dan independent sample t test dengan bantuan SPSS 26.00. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan: (1) Hasil uji paired simple t test menunjukkan implementasi dari model blended learning secara efektif meningkatkan keterampilan berpikir kritis dan motivasi belajar mahasiswa,  (2) Hasil uji independent simple t test menunjukkan keterampilan berpikir kritis dan motivasi belajar mahasiswa kelas eksperimen memiliki perbedaan secara signifikan dengan mahasiswa kelas kontrol.

Abstract

Pendidikan tinggi pada abad 21  menuntut dosen dan mahasiswa untuk bersama-sama membentuk lingkungan belajar student centered learning. Penelitian ini bermaksud untuk mengetahui: (1) perspektif mahasiswa terhadap model blended learning, (2) pengaruh model blended learning terhadap aktivitas belajar dan hasil belajar (3) perbedaan hasil belajar mahasiswa kelompok eksperimen dengan kelompok kontrol. Penelitian ini adalah penelitian kuantitatif dengan jenis penelitian eksperimen. Adapun desain penelitian yang digunakan adalah quasi experimental. Populasi penelitian ini adalah mahasiswa semester 1 jurusan akuntansi. Teknik pengambilan sampel menggunakan purposive sampling sehingga sampel penelitian adalah kelas A sebanyak sebanyak 47 orang sebagai kelas eksperimen dan kelas C sebanyak 45 orang sebagai kelas kontrol. Analisis yang digunakan pada penelitian ini yaitu analisis deskriptif dan analisis inferential yaitu paired sample t test dan independent sample t test. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa: (1) perspektif mahasiswa terhadap model blended learning berada pada kategori baik (2) terdapat pengaruh blended learning terhadap hasil belajar dengan nilai sig kurang dari 0.05, sedangkan mean aktivitas kelompok eksperimen lebih baik dibandingkan kelompok kontrol, dan (3) terdapat perbedaan hasil belajar mahasiswa kelompok eksperimen dengan kelompok kontrol.

Abstract

During the pandemic of COVID-19, numerous obstacles arose in education, and some strategies were necessary to tackle them. This study adopted a qualitative approach to investigate teachers' difficulties in mathematics learning in rural and urban areas and how they solved them. The findings revealed that motivation, productivity, and activityare the main problems of the teachers. Accessibility also poses a difficulty for teachers in rural areas. Several strategies were implemented to solve these obstacles, including using technology, maintaining communication with families, providing flexibility, reducing the number of tasks and quizzes, and peer teaching.

Abstract

The measure of spread is one of the concepts in Statistics that students find complicated. We have to use a specific formula or concept for a specific situation or contextual problem. As a result, people or students sometimes made mistakes or errors in solving statistics problems. Therefore, research to investigate errors made in solving problems involving a measure of spread is necessary. This study aims to describe students' errors in solving problems related to the measure of dispersion. Researchers used a qualitative descriptive approach. We administered the test during the even semester from January to June in the year 2021. The participants were 80 undergraduate students who have completed or taken statistics courses. This test consists of 2 questions that are related to each other. Researchers used the three main steps to analyze the data which consist of data condensation, data display, and verifying and drawing the conclusion. We obtained the data related to students' errors from their test results. The results showed that more than 50% of students still make mistakes on every problem. The mistakes made by participants consisted of the use of formulas, miscalculations, the use of known data, the use of concepts, not giving conclusions, and inconsistencies.

Abstract

The Covid-19 pandemic affected the economy in Indonesia so the government relies on taxes as the main source of national income to continue the country's development. The purpose of the research is to find out the perspective of users, namely taxpayers, on the taxation application (e-filling and e-billing) with technology acceptance model (TAM). This research population is a lecturer in taxation courses at the Islamic University in Makassar City as a taxpayer (WP) which amounts to 96 people so that the entire population is also used as a research sample. Teknik data collection is a questionnaire through e-mail and google form. Data analysis using the Smart PLS application by testing hypotheses, namely structural models or inner models. The results of the study explain the taxpayer's opinion on the application of tax digitization that has a positive influence from the results of the analysis of the inner model with the original value of the sample that explains the positive results.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan kesalahan siswa introver dan ekstrover serta penyebab kesalahannya berdasarkan kriteria Newman dalam menyelesaikan soal cerita materi program linear. Jenis penelitian yang digunakan adalah penelitian kualitatif deskriptif. Terdapat 4 subjek penelitian yaitu 2 siswa dengan tipe kepribadian introver dan 2 siswa dengan tipe kepribadian ekstrover. Teknik pengumpulan data yang digunakan adalah angket, tes soal, dan wawancara.  Instrumen yang digunakan dalam pengumpulan data adalah angket tipe kepribadian, tes soal materi program linear dan pedoman wawancara. Teknik analisis data meliputi kondensasi data, penyajian data dan menarik kesimpulan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa siswa introver melakukan kesalahan transformasi, kesalahan keterampilan proses, dan kesalahan penulisan jawaban akhir. Sedangkan siswa ekstrover melakukan kesalahan membaca, kesalahan memahmai, kesalahan transformasi, kesalahan keterampilan soal, dan kesalahan penulisan jawaban akhir. Penyebab kesalahan siswa introver berdasarkan prosedur Newman adalah adanya kebiasaan salah yang tidak diluruskan guru, prinsip siswa tidak menuliskan kendala tak negatif, merasa tertekan karena dibatasi oleh waktu dalam mengerjakan soal. Sedangkan penyebab kesalahan siswa ekstrover adalah siswa ekstrover cenderung tergesa-gesa dalam menyelesaikan soal, tidak dapat menghubungkan informasi-infoemasi pada soal, kurang mengusai materi prasyarat dan tidak melakukan pengecekan ulang terhadap hasil jawabannya.Kata Kunci: Kesalahan, Soal Cerita, Program Linear, Kriteria Newman, Introver dan ekstrover.This study aims to describe the errors of introverted and extroverted students and the causes of their errors based on Newman's criteria in solving linear programming problems. The type of research used is descriptive qualitative research. There are 4 research subjects, namely 2 students with an introverted personality type and 2 students with an extroverted personality type. The research consisted of 2 students with an introverted personality type and 2 students with an extroverted personality type. Data collection techniques used are questionnaires, test questions, and interviews. The instruments used in data collection were personality type questionnaires, linear program material tests and interview guidelines. Data analysis techniques include data condensation, data presentation and drawing conclusions. The results showed that introverted students transformation error, process skills error and enconding error. Meanwhile, extroverted students make are reading error, comprehension error, transformation error, process skills error and enconding error. The causes of introverted students' errors based on the Newman procedure are wrong habits that are not corrected by the teacher, the principle of students not writing down non-negative constraints, feeling pressured because they are limited by time in doing questions. While the causes of extroverted students' errors are extroverted students who tend to be in a hurry in solving problems, cannot connect information to questions, do not master the prerequisite material and do not re-check the results of their answers.Keywords: Error, Story Problem, Linear program, Neman’s Criteria, Introvert and Extrovert.
