Abstract

Absrak. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui hasil belajar siswa berdasarkan self assessment dan assessment yang dilakukan oleh guru, mengetahui perbedaan nilai self assessment dan assessment yang dilakukan oleh guru, serta mengetahui perbedaan nilai rata-rata tes sebelum dan sesudah penerapan self assessment. Pengukuran terhadap hasil belajar siswa dilakukan terhadap kelompok belajar kelas VIII disalah satu SMP Negeri di Makassar. Sampel diambil dengan teknik random sampling. Metode pengambilan data menggunakan instrumen yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah lembar self assessment dan tes hasil belajar. Nilai hasil belajar siswa berdasarkan self assessment diperoleh nilai rata-rata 84.60 dan nilai hasil belajar siswa berdasarkan assessment yang dilakukan guru diperoleh nilai rata-rata 80.83. Perbedaan nilai self assessment dan assessment yang dilakukan oleh guru diukur melalui analisis statistik inferensial menggunakan SPSS 20.0 dan diperoleh hasil sig. (2-tailed) 0,000 < α = 0.05 yang berarti H0 ditolak dan H1 diterima sehingga hipotesis diterima. Adapun perbedaan nilai rata-rata tes sebelum dan setelah penerapan self assessment juga diukur melalui analisis statistik inferensial menggunakan SPSS 20.0 dan diperoleh hasil sig. (2-tailed) 0,000 < α = 0.05 yang berarti H0 ditolak dan H1 diterima, yang berarti hipotesis diterima. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian dapat disimpulkan bahwa terdapat perbedaan nilai self assessment dan assessmen yang dilakukan oleh guru serta terdapat perbedaan nilai rata-rata tes sebelum dan sesudah penerapan self assessment.Kata kunci: self assessment, hasil belajar, sistem koordinatAbsract. This study aims to determine student learning outcomes based on self assessment and assessment conducted by the teacher, knowing the difference in the value of self assessment and assessment carried out by the teacher, and knowing the difference in the average score of the test before and after the implementation of the self assessment. Measurement of student learning outcomes was carried out on the class VIII learning group of SMP Negeri in Makassar. Samples were taken by random sampling technique. Data retrieval method using the instrument used in this study is a self assessment sheet and learning outcomes test. The value of student learning outcomes based on self assessment obtained an average value of 84.60 and the value of student learning outcomes based on assessment conducted by the teacher obtained an average value of 80.83. The difference in the value of self assessment and assessment conducted by the teacher was measured through inferential statistical analysis using SPSS 20.0 and the results of the sig. (2-tailed) 0,000 <α = 0.05 which means that H0 is rejected and H1 is accepted so that the hypothesis is accepted. The difference in the average test scores before and after the application of self-assessment was also measured through inferential statistical analysis using SPSS 20.0 and the results of the sig. (2-tailed) 0,000 <α = 0.05, which means that H0 is rejected and H1 is accepted, which means the hypothesis is accepted. Based on the results of the study it can be concluded that there are differences in the value of self assessment and assessment conducted by the teacher and there are differences in the average scores of tests before and after the application of self assessment.Keywords: self assessment, learning outcomes, coordinate system.

Abstract

Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian deskriptif dengan pendekatan kualitatif yang bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan pemahaman geometri siswa SMP pada materi segiempat berdasarkan teori van Hiele dan ditinjau dari gaya kognitif siswa. Subjek pada penelitian ini merupakan siswa SMP yang dipilih berdasarkan tes GEFT yaitu 1 siswa yang memiliki gaya kognitif Field Dependent dan 1 siswa yang memiliki gaya kognitif Field Independent. Selanjutnya subjek mengerjakan tes pemahaman geometri pada materi segiempat dan melakukan wawancara untuk memperoleh data pemahaman geometri siswa pada materi segiempat. Pemahaman geometri subjek dideskripsikan melalui teori van Hiele yang memuat tingkat pemahaman geometri van Hiele yaitu visualization, analysis, abstraction, formal deduction, dan rigor. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa terdapat perbedaan pemahaman geometri siswa dengan dengan gaya kognitif Field Dependent dan siswa dengan gaya kognitif Field Independent. Siswa dengan gaya kognitif Field Independent memiliki pemahaman geometri pada materi segiempat yang lebih baik pada tiap tingkat pemahaman geometri yang telah ia capai dan berada pada tingkatan yang lebih tinggi dibandingkan siswa dengan gaya kognitif Field Dependent. Siswa dengan gaya kognitif Field Independent telah mencapai tahap awal formal deduction sedangkan siswa dengan gaya kognitif Field Dependent masih berada pada tingkat analysis.Kata Kunci:Pemahaman Geometri, Teori van Hiele, Tingkat Pemahaman Geometri van Hiele, Segiempat, Gaya Kognitif.Abstract. This research is a descriptive research with qualitative approach which aims to describe Junior High School students’ geometry understanding on quadrilateral based on van Hiele Theory and observed from students’ cognitive style. Subjects in this study were Junior High School students who were selected  based on GEFT test i.e. 1 student who has Field Dependent cognitive style and 1 student who has Field Independent cognitive style.  Then, subject undertook a geometry understanding test on quadrilateral material and conducted interviews to obtain data of students’ geometric understanding on quadrilateral. Subjects’ geometry understanding were described by van Hiele theory that contained van Hiele level of geometry understanding i.e. visualization, analysis, abstraction, formal deduction, and rigor. The result of this study show that there are differences in geometry understanding between student with Field Dependent cognitive style and student with Field Independent cognitive style. Student with Field Independent cognitive style has geometry understanding on quadrilateral better at each level of geometry understanding that had been achieved and was at higher level than student with Field Dependent cognitive style.  Student with Field Independent cognitive style has reached the initial stage of formal deduction, while student with Field Dependent cogitive style still is at analysis level.Keywords:Geometry Understanding; Van Hiele Theory; Van Hiele Level of Geometry Understanding; Quadrilateral; Cognitive Style..

Abstract

This Community Partnership Program (PKM) were held at Paladang village of Pinrang regency. The purposes of this activity are to increase farmers' knowledge and skills in entrepreneurship, in processing eggplant/ banana into various valued products, in making expense book tracker, and in managing finances and marketing of the business. Problems found in the community showed that they lack of knowledge about entrepreneurship, lack of knowledge and skills on how to process eggplant/ banana into varied products with higher economic value, and the lack of knowledge and skills in managing finances and marketing. The methods used in program were training, mentoring, discussion and counselling in collaboration between the team and farmer groups. This method is carried out for two groups. The first group consists of 6 people and 5 people belongs to the second group. Evaluation and monitoring are carried out periodically for 4 months. The results showed that 1) the participants show improvement in skills knowledge in terms of entrepreneurship; 2) the participants improved their ability and skills in producing various products from eggplant with good economic value; and 3) the participants able to produce eggplant barongko and eggplant nuggets.

Abstract

The main goal of this program was to increasestudent competence in terms of computing using the software.This was intended to facilitate students in doing theirassignments, where they must perform a computationalprocess that emphasizes the result of a mathematical case. Theconstraints faced in general were the lack of internal teachingstaff who could guide the students in a frequent manner. As aresult, many students were unable to use the software properlyfor the computing process. Therefore, there was a need forconducting an educational and training program in order toovercome this issue. One of which was training in dataprocessing and analysis using Casio FX 991 ID Plus calculatorsoftware for students. This activity aimed to improve theability of students to use the Casio FX 991 ID Plus software.Specifically, this activity could develop students' ability to dothe computation to solve problems in various mathematicaltopics. The results achieved were that the participants weregenerally very enthusiastic in following the entire series ofactivities. The participants consulted with the presenters/facilitators of the training if they found problems and thingsthat were not yet known about the Casio FX 991 ID PlusCalculator. The result obtained from the training andindependent work was the participants have been able to dothe computing process well. It is recommended that the scopeof the implementation of such training program be furtherexpanded. In addition, according to the results and benefitsobtained from the implementation of the training, it isnecessary to implement the training for students and thecommunity, in general, to facilitate them in using Casio FX991 ID Plus Calculator as a tool for performing computingprocesses.

Abstract

This study aims to explore geometric ideas in traditional food called Tumpi-Tumpi, a typical Bugis Makassar cuisine, and to develop problem-solving abilities using the Iceberg Realistic Mathematics Education (RME) model. This study used a qualitative study with descriptive exploration. Data was collected through observation, interviews, and documentation. Based on the design of Miles and Huberman, the data analysis technique consisted of data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion/verification. According to data collection results, the traditional Bugis-Makassar cuisine Tumpi-Tumpi contains ethnic mathematical components (geometrical concepts), namely, the plane figure of an equilateral triangle, and is used to solve mathematical problems. The Iceberg RME math technique utilized "the model of" and "the model for" to determine an equilateral triangle's features, area formula, and perimeter. Iceberg-based ethnomathematics collaboration may enhance high school student's interest in learning.

Abstract

Abstract. Humans' natural mathematical abilities have propelled civilizations forward. Mathematics is an integral component of all cultural contexts, and the significance of all cultural contexts is influenced by the individual's interpretation within that culture. These interpretations have been demonstrated in cultural heritage, particularly traditional houses, which show evidence of intuitive mathematics ability. Tribes worldwide have built traditional houses in their distinct styles. The current study included data collection through documentation, observation, and interviews. Camera images, aerial camera images, and documentation techniques were used to observe several traditional buildings in Indonesia. We used projective geometry and simple house theory  to analyze of the sample of traditional Houses. Abstract

Rumah adat Balla Lompoa merupakan bangunan adat yang dulunya digunakan sebagai istana tempat tinggal Raja Gowa. Sebagai bagian dari budaya, arsitektur tradisional dan ornamen pada Balla Lompoa berkait dengan konsep geometri yang jika digali dapat dijadikan sebagai bahan ajar. Kajian tentang konsep matematika dengan praktik budaya disebut etnomatematika. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian deskriptif eksploratif, dengan pengumpulan data melalui observasi dan wawancara dengan salah satu penjaga rumah adat Balla Lompoa. Eksplorasi rumah adat Balla Lompoa memperlihatkan berbagai konsep geometris bangunan datar seperti bujur sangkar, bujur sangkar panjang, segitiga, lingkaran, dan belah ketupat. Bentuk bangun datar ini dapat ditemukan di Balla Lompoa dan dapat menjadi salah satu bahan ajar berupa media pembelajaran, model dan pendekatan pembelajaran serta modul menggunakan Etnomatematika.The Balla Lompoa traditional house is a traditional building once used as the palace of the King of Gowa's residence. As part of the culture, the traditional architecture, and ornaments on the Balla Lompoa connect with the concept of geometry which, if explored, can be used as teaching materials. The study of mathematical concepts with cultural practice is called Ethnomathematics. This study is a descriptive exploratory study, with data collected through observation and interviews with one of the guards of the Balla Lompoa traditional house. The exploration of the Balla Lompoa traditional house shows various geometric concepts of Two-Dimensional Figures such as squares, square Panjang, triangles, circles, and rhombuses. This flat shape can be found in the Balla Lompoa and can be one of the teaching materials in the form of learning media, teaching models and approaches and modules using Ethnomathematics.

Abstract

Desa Jompie, Kecamatan Ulaweng, Kabupaten Bone merupakan salah satu daerah dengan potensi yang luar biasa, khususnya dalam hal pemanfaatan jagung. 90% lahan pertanian desa Jompie tertanami oleh jagung. Akan tetapi belum dapat dimaksimalkan dengan baik terutama dalam hal pemanfaatan limbah pertanian bonggol jagungnya. Oleh karena itu mahasiswa KKN-T UNM melakukan kegiatan pembuatan briket limbah pertanian bonggol jagung di desa Jompie. Tujuan dari kegiatan ini adalah sebagai upaya dalam pemanfaatan limbah pertanian di desa Jompie melalui pembuatan briket agar dapat meningkatkan perekonomian di desa Jompie. Kegiatan ini menggunkaan metode observasi langsung dengan mengamati halaman rumah dan kebun masyarakat desa Jompie untuk mengetahui permasalahan yang ada. Hasil dari kegiatan ini adalah memberikan penambahan wawasan dan pengetahuan tentang potensi desa Jompie khususnya dalam pemanfaatan limbah bonggol jagung, memberikan ide bisnis untuk dikembangkan, membantu meminimalisir limbah pertanian bonggol jagung, memupuk semangat masyrakat dalam berwirausaha.

Abstract

This Community Service Program aims to improve the professionalism of educators and education personnel through the application of Hypnoteaching. The main focus is to make learning more engaging and effective by ensuring teachers are able to identify, explain and implement Hypnoteaching models according to the subjects taught. The training process involves key steps, from introducing the concept of Hypnoteaching to providing guided exercises to put it into practice.The results of the training showed significant changes in the participating teachers. They experienced improved understanding and skills in applying Hypnoteaching, creating a supportive and relaxed learning environment. Periodic evaluations showed consistent improvement, supported by teachers' high internal motivation. This PKM program makes a positive contribution to mathematics learning by empowering teachers through this innovative approach, creating a positive impact on students' learning experience

Abstract

Pendidikan merupakan aspek penting dalam pembangunan suatu negara. Keadaan siswa yang malas, tidak ingin belajar, dan mengalami kegagalan, disebabkan karena tidak adanya minat belajar. Pada kenyataannya, pelajaran matematika di sekolah tidak sedikit siswa yang masih menganggap pelajaran yang membuat “stres” dan membuat pikiran bingung. Program Happy Math bertujuan untuk meningkatkan ketertarikan belajar matematika di kalangan anak SD dengan tema bermain sambil belajar. Program ini terdiri dari 2 lomba yaitu lomba Cerdas Cermat dan Ular Tangga.
