Abstract

Abstrak Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mendeskripsikan penanaman sikap sopan santun melalui keteladanan guru di SMP Negeri 1 Buduran Sidoarjo. Penelitian ini dilakukan dengan pendekatan kualitatif mengenai cara guru dalam menanamkan sikap sopan santun pada siswa dan siswi di SMP Negeri 1 Buduran kabupaten Sidoarjo. Dalam penelitian ini informan yang diwawancarai adalah guru dari tiap-tiap bidang studi, ketua dan anggota OSIS. Data yang diperoleh dalam penelitian ini adalah wawancara dan observasi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa guru dalam menanamkan sikap sopan santun pada siswa secara langsung yang dilakukan melalui modelling/contoh guru dengan menerapkan budaya 5S (Sopan, Santun, Sapa, Salam, Senyum), memakai seragam lengkap dengan atributnya, dan berkomunikasi menggunakan bahasa Indonesia. Sedangkan secara tidak langsung, penanaman sikap sopan santun dilakukan melalui memberikan cerita teladan yang berasal dari kisah nyata, film, dan cerita rakyat. Pengaruh positif dari penanaman sikap sopan santun berupa perubahan perilaku siswa yang terlihat dari kepatuhan menaati aturan sekolah. Kata Kunci : sopan santun, keteladanan Abstract Aim of this research is to descript the embedment of politeness attitude through exemplary of teachers at SMP Negeri 1 Buduran Sidoarjo. This research is done by using qualitative approach about the way of the teachers in embedding politeness attitude to their students at SMP Negeri 1 Buduran Sidoarjo. In this research, the interviewed informants were teachers in each subjects and also chief and member of OSIS. Data obtained in this research is interview and observation. Results of the research indicate that teachers in their effort to embed politeness attitude to their students directly is conducted through modeling/giving example how to practice culture of 5S ((sopan (polite), santun (courtesy), sapa (greet), salam (regard), senyum (smile)), dress their complete uniforms and attributes, and communicate with bahasa Indonesia. While by indirect way, the embedment of politeness attitude is conducted by means of delivering inspirational stories from true stories, movies, and folklores. The positive effect of embedding politeness attitude is the change of students’ attitude in which they obey the rules of school. Keywords: politeness, exemplary.

Abstract

To create a prosperous and clean Indonesia, the state must be responsible for providing simple access to public information. In supporting the provision of public information openness, East Kalimantan plays an active role, as the East Information Commission institution carries out outreach and educational activities related to public information openness. One of these activities is a public discussion about the openness of public information in East Kalimantan, in collaboration with UIN Sultan Aji Muhammad Idris Samarinda (UINSI Samarinda). We hope that this activity will heighten public awareness and foster active participation in the disclosure of public information. This will certainly increase public trust in the government, and the community can contribute to policy and decision-making, especially in East Kalimantan.
