Abstract

Public Speaking is a communication skill that must be possessed by every entrepreneur in order to be able to compete in the world of work. Of course, the importance of public speaking must be taught from an early age, so that one day they can be confident in public. The importance of imparting public speaking skills from an early age gave the idea to create community service activities with the theme of public speaking training in developing an entrepreneurial spirit. This activity aims to make students from an early age understand the importance of public speaking in the world of Entrepreneurs. It is hoped that from this activity the students at the Tahfidz Izzatul Qur'an As-adiyah Islamic boarding school will have public speaking skills that support the future in becoming entrepreneurs

Abstract

To create a prosperous and clean Indonesia, the state must be responsible for providing simple access to public information. In supporting the provision of public information openness, East Kalimantan plays an active role, as the East Information Commission institution carries out outreach and educational activities related to public information openness. One of these activities is a public discussion about the openness of public information in East Kalimantan, in collaboration with UIN Sultan Aji Muhammad Idris Samarinda (UINSI Samarinda). We hope that this activity will heighten public awareness and foster active participation in the disclosure of public information. This will certainly increase public trust in the government, and the community can contribute to policy and decision-making, especially in East Kalimantan.

Abstract

Wartawan memiliki peran penting dalam menyajikan berita berintegritas dan berkeadilan dalam konteks era informasi yang terus berkembang,. Tidak heran bila kemudian, ada yang mengatakan, wartawan adalah profesi kenabian. Karena wartawan harus menyampaikan informasi dengan tepat dan tidak boleh menyimpang. Dalam konteks ini, konsep jurnalisme kenabian menyoroti aspek moral dan etis dalam praktik jurnalisme, yang dapat menjadi pedoman bagi wartawan dalam menjalankan tugas mereka. Namun, pemahaman dan penerimaan terhadap nilai-nilai ini mungkin berbeda-beda di kalangan wartawan. Penelitian ini bertujuan mengeksplorasi persepsi wartawan terhadap nilai-nilai jurnalisme kenabian dalam Uji Kompetensi Wartawan (UKW). Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah metode deskriptif kualitatif dengan mengumpulkan data melalui wawancara mendalam terhadap sejumlah wartawan dari berbagai media. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan variasi dalam persepsi mereka terhadap nilai-nilai jurnalisme kenabian, termasuk integritas, kejujuran, dan sensitivitas terhadap kepentingan publik. Beberapa wartawan menyoroti pentingnya nilai-nilai ini dalam praktik mereka sehari-hari. Hasil penelitian ini memiliki implikasi penting bagi praktik jurnalisme dan pendidikan wartawan. Dengan memahami persepsi wartawan terhadap nilai-nilai jurnalisme kenabian dapat membantu dalam pengembangan kurikulum pendidikan jurnalisme yang lebih holistik dan relevan

Abstract

The workshop "To Be A Powerful Public Speaker" is designed to improve the public speaking skills of SMA Negeri 14 Samarinda students, especially new members of the Student Council. This activity aims to increase confidence, mastery of communication techniques, and interaction with the audience. The training method includes theory, practice, and evaluation, involving speakers with various topics, such as the basics of public speaking, speaking techniques in broadcasting, and tips for becoming a professional MC. The training results showed that 85% of participants felt more confident in public speaking, increased mastery of intonation and gestures, and the ability to build better relationships with the audience. The hands-on and practical approach to this training ensures that participants understand the theory and can apply it in real life, particularly in their leadership roles. These workshops positively impact students' communication skills, supporting their personal and professional development.

Abstract

The digitalization of services at the neighborhood (RT) level has become an essential instrument for accelerating public administrative services and strengthening communication between village officials and the community. This community engagement activity evaluates the effectiveness of service communication through the utilization of the SMART and SAMAGOV applications in RTs across Sidomulyo Subdistrict. The activity was conducted during the Sidomulyo Coordination Meeting (26 November 2025), involving RT heads, the LPM chairman, the TP PKK chairwoman, Babinsa, Bhabinkamtibmas, and the management of the Merah Putih Cooperative. The method employed was descriptive qualitative combined with Participatory Action Research (PAR) through field observations, meeting documentation, and semi-structured interviews. The results indicate improvements in information delivery speed, service transparency, and ease of citizen reporting; RTs play an essential role as digital mediators. The main challenges include residents’ varying levels of digital literacy, the need for continuous assistance, and limited internet access in certain areas. Recommendations include tiered digital literacy training, simple instructional modules, strengthened RT–Kelurahan helpdesk mechanisms, and coordinated efforts to enhance network infrastructure.

Abstract

This study aimed to describe the persuasive communication of religious counselors in changing the community’s religious behavior in Kale Lantang Village, Takalar Regency, South Sulawesi. The research used a qualitative approach focusing on village residents and the counselors assigned to the area. Data were collected through interviews and analyzed using data triangulation to strengthen credibility. The findings showed that the counselors applied DeVito’s concept of persuasive communication. At the selective exposure stage, the South Polongbangkeng Office of Religious Affairs (KUA) placed counselors by considering location suitability and their understanding of the local context. In terms of audience participation, counselors conducted dialogues and organized religious gatherings (majelis) at the mosque, but community involvement remained low. Regarding the inoculation principle, counselors tended to use a reversed pattern by responding to resistance after it appeared rather than preparing preventive messages beforehand. Major obstacles included the government’s intention to maintain certain practices and the community’s strong adherence to ancestral traditions. Therefore, the study recommended training for counselors and sustained collaboration with village authorities and community leaders to enhance behavioral change efforts.
