Abstract

This study purpose to determine the effect of leadership style, interpersonalcommunication on motivation and performance of Patra Jasa bali Resort and Villa’semployees.The study was conducted in hospitality organizations by using employees as acorrespondent. The number of respondents in this study are 225 peoples. The data analysistechnique used path analysis (SEM Analysis) which is operated through the AMOS program,Version 20.0The results showed that leadership style and general manager interpersonalcommunication had a positive and significant impact on the motivation and performance ofemployees Patra Jasa Bali Resort and Villas.Keywords : Leadership Style, Interpersonal Communication, Motivation and EmployeePerformance Patra Jasa Bali Resort and Villas.

Abstract

Human resource is one of the driving and most important factors in the tourism industry. With the richness and diversity of flora and fauna, cultural, and historical art that Indonesia possesses, it requires qualified human resources as well as experts to manage it. North Sulawesi has become one of the provinces with better human resource development compared to other provinces in Indonesia thanks to the role of the government and local culture that shapes the human character. One of the attempts to shape human resource skills is through the institutions of education, where students are given the opportunity to undertake an internship program to develop their skills as well as to experience working in the real world. The aim of this study is to analyze the impact of internship on the work ability of the alumni of the Faculty of Tourism of the Catholic University of De La Salle Manado. The research method used is the Simple Linear Regression Analysis to find out the relationship between internship and ability to work. A purposive sampling techniques was used by spreading questionnaires to 28 respondents. The results of the research show that internship has a positive impact on alumni's ability to work.

Abstract

Tourists have very varied desires, which is why tourist villages are formed to introduce tourists more about the communities within them and the resources that support them. Of course, every tourism management is very dependent on the existence of human resources through Community Based Tourism. Promising that human resources around tourism areas can be more independent in managing and developing existing destinations. Apart from that, human resources who have new competencies and are capable of managing a tourist destination will become more innovative and creative to adapt to developments in tourism management. Likewise with the Para Lelle tourist village in Sangihe Islands Regency which has various destinations and is a leading tourist village, that there are still operational obstacles in the form of electricity problems and inadequate and optimal internet networks, as well as transportation which depends on weather factors. This research uses a qualitative research method with a descriptive approach to see how human resources develop with limited facilities such as the problems mentioned above. Based on the research results, several reality phenomena were found, such as tourism activities which are managed by the community independently and studied based on economic, social, cultural and environmental dimensions so that we get interrelated results in assessing strengths and weaknesses for SWOT analysis, then there are recommended strategies for developing resources. humans and the Lelle Tourism Village.
