Abstract

The prospect of tourism on the coast of Tanjung Amurang is very promising, but it needs clear efforts, especially the cultural behavior of the local community, to develop it. This study describes the cultural behavior of the people on the coast of the Amurang cape and how this behavior has a major influence on local tourism development. This research will use analytical descriptive methods, including the hermeneutic method as part of the overall description which includes descriptions of several local residents then analyzed. The findings expected in this study are first, the relationship between the cultural behavior of the Tanjung Amurang coastal community with a viewpoint on tourism. Second, get an overview of the situation of the local community in tourism development. Third, the prospect of the local area which can be used as a tourist destination and methods of developing local tourism. The local government of South Minahasa Regency in the preservation of the area around the Tanjung Amurang coast. Fifth, the principles of tourism development as the foundation for future commodities.

Abstract

Tourism is a leading sector and source of income for many local governments, including the government of Sangihe Islands Regency. Sustainable tourism development has been considered as a major factor in maintaining the environmental integrity, as well as social and economic equality of a region’s tourist attractions. This study uses qualitative research, where the data collection was carried out by observation, documentation and interviews with the stakeholders of tourism in the regency, in particular the local Cultural and Tourism Office. Moreover, in this research, the potentials of the Sangihe Islands Regency were identified and categorized into three, namely Cultural, Natural and Maritime, and Nature Reserve tourism potentials. The local government’s policies to improve and develop its sustainable tourism are then divided into four main aspects, which are the development of tourist destinations, tourism marketing, tourism industry, and tourism institutions. Lastly, the strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, and threats are identified in order to develop strategies that would support and improve the development of sustainable tourism in Sangihe Islands Regency.

Abstract

Sektor pariwisata merupakan salah satu pendorong meningkatnya pendapatan masyarakat lokal. Salah satu upaya yang dilakukan Kementerian Pariwisata bekerjasama dengan Kementerian Pekerjaan Umum dan Perumahan Rakyat adalah pembangunan homestay di Desa Marinsow. Penelitian bertujuan untuk mengetahui dampak ekonomi keberadaan homestay bagi pemilik dan masyarakat lokal Desa Marinsow. Metode yang digunakan adalah deskriptif kualitatif dengan wawancara terhadap 25 orang pemilik homestay dan 25 orang masyarakat sekitar. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan pengelolaan homestay memberikan dampak positif bagi para pemilik homestay dalam hal pendapatan namun juga menunjukkan bahwa sebagian besar pemilik tetap mempertahankan profesi lama mereka. Untuk masyarakat umum kehadiran homestay belum bisa dikatakan memberikan dampak yang nyata, terlihat dari kurangnya respon mereka untuk memanfaatkan peluang untuk bekerja atau membuka usaha baru setelah hadirnya homestay di Desa Marinsow. The tourism sector may be one of the driving forces in increasing local people's income. One effort made by the Ministry of Tourism in collaboration with the Ministry of Public Works and Public Housing is the construction of homestays in Marinsow Village. This study aimed to determine the economic impact of the existence of homestays for the owners and the local community of Marinsow Village. The method used was descriptive qualitative with interviews with 25 homestay owners and 25 people from the surrounding community. The results showed that the existence of homestays had a positive impact on the owners in terms of income but also showed that most owners continued to maintain their old professions. For the surrounding community, the presence of homestays had not had a real impact, as could be seen from their lack of response to take advantage of opportunities to work or open new businesses after the presence of homestays in Marinsow Village.

Abstract

Wisata edukasi memberikan kesempatan unik bagi wisatawan untuk mengalami langsung dan memperoleh pengalaman dan pengetahuan baru. Dalam mengembangkan wisata edukasi, pemberdayaan masyarakat untuk meningkatkan kemampuan ekonomi lokal menjadi salah satu prioritas yang harus dikembangkan secara berkesinambungan, termasuk pula di destinasi wisata edukasi Tuur Maasering. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui dampak ekonomi dari penerapan pemberdayaan masyarakat lokal di Tuur Maasering Tomohon. Metode penelitian yang dipilih adalah kualitatif deskriptif dengan mewawancarai karyawan, mitra kerja, dan grup kebudayaan lokal untuk mengetahui dampak ekonomi bagi mereka. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa para partisipan penelitian mendapatkan dampak ekonomi yang positif dengan meningkatnya kesempatan kerja serta pendapatan mereka melalui kerjasama yang mereka lakukan dengan pengelola Tuur Maasering.
