Moderation in Islamic education is indispensable in the world of education in Indonesia for the sake of creating a democratic educational atmosphere. This study uses a descriptive qualitative method with a literature study approach. Research data is taken directly from various main sources in the form of relevant articles, journals and books. The data that has been collected is then analyzed descriptively. This study concludes that moderation of Islamic education is education that carries Islamic values that can be accepted by all groups by applying the values of tawasuth, tawazun, i'tidal, tasamuh, musaawaah, shura, islah, awlawiyah, tathawur wa ibtikar, tahaddhur, tanawwu' and uswah. The supporting aspects are school policies, materials and learning, education staff, parents and teachers. It is carried out by democratizing Islamic education which builds an education system that is centralized, uniform, and dependent, to shift to developing a more autonomous, diverse, and independent education system. The success of Islamic education moderation can be seen in the positive changes of each individual, living environment and interactions between communities.

Abstract

Emotional intelligence (EQ) and spiritual intelligence (SQ) are two intelligences that play a crucial role in shaping a complete human personality according to Islam. The International Community Service Program (PKM) between the Islamic University of Jakarta and the Muhammadiyah Turkiye Branch aims to increase public understanding regarding emotional and spiritual management according to Islamic guidance. The implementation method consisted of educational counseling, discussions, and a Q&A session via webinars attended by Indonesian migrant workers in Turkiye, schoolchildren, and parents in Indonesia. The results of the activity demonstrated an increase in participants' awareness and ability to manage negative emotions and a strengthening of spiritual practices such as prayer, dhikr (remembrance of God), reading the Quran, and practicing the values of faith and piety. The four aspects of SQ development emphasized in Islam are al-Qalb (the heart), al-Ruh (spirit), an-Nafs (the soul), and al-Aql (the mind). Thus, this activity contributed to strengthening the character and psychological stability of participants in facing life's challenges.
