Abstract

This study aims to analyze the success of developing an integrated performance assessment instrument for the priority values of Tri Hita Karana (THK) in vocational learning, in this case, in the practicum course for making men's clothing. This type of research is development research, which was developed using the ADDIE model. The subjects in this study were colleagues and learning and assessment experts. The focus of the research was the development of an integrated portfolio assessment instrument of the priority values of Tri Hita Karana in the practicum course in the manufacture of menswear. Data collection in this study was carried out using the method of questionnaires, with the research instrument being a validity sheet. The data obtained in the study were then analyzed using data analysis techniques using quantitative descriptive analysis. The feasibility of the resulting set of instruments is tested for validation using the Gregory formula using two experts and testing the reliability of the instrument using the inter-rater reliability technique. The results showed that the developed performance assessment instrument met the validity criteria with an average 4.0 (relevant) score and obtained very high validity through calculations using the Gregory formula (1.0). Calculation of reliability through an inter-rater agreement from two experts, which was very consistent with a score on the performance instrument of 0.96. Based on these results, it can be concluded that the design of the integrated performance assessment instrument set of priority values of Tri Hita Karana karana in the Men's Clothing Making Practical Course developed is in the valid and reliable category, so it is very feasible to use to measure students' abilities.

Abstract

Creating an independent learning process realized through student-centred learning is quite challenging by many vocational educators particularly in selecting appropriate learning method. Therefore this study was purposed to analyze the effect of self-assessment and students’ learning autonomy towards students’ performance in vocational education. Quasi-Experimental with 2x2 factorial design was used as the research model of this study by involving 60 fourth semester students who took fashion design course. They were selected by using random-matching sampling technique. The data were collected thorough pre-test and post-test in which self-assessment and performance test rubrics were used as research instruments. The obtained data were analysed quantitatively particularly by conducting descriptive quantitative and inferential statistical analysis with the assistance of SPSS.25. The results showed that self-assessment along with the students’ learning autonomy affected students’ performance. Self-assessment improved students’ performance in which it was inseparable from learning autonomy as the influencing factor. In addition, the results drew that students were directly involved in the learning process and self-assessment was maximized by students’ learning autonomy in affecting their performance. The implication of this study strengthens the use of self-assessment and learning autonomy towards students’ performance in fashion design course.

Abstract

Both of internal and external factor that have been elaborated above directly influence students’ learning motivation. This study was aimed to analyze the effect of parenting, job expectancy, and learning motivation towards students’ learning outcomes conducted in the form of quantitative research by adapting exp-post facto design. There were 200 students who took accountant major as the research sample. They were selected by using simple random sampling technique. The data were collected through observation, questionnaire distribution, and document analysis. The instruments used were observation sheet and questionnaire. The data were analysed by using Structural Equation Method (SEM-PLS) in which the data were tested through perquisite test. The results showed that; 1) there was a significant effect of parenting towards students’ motivation which directly impacted their learning outcomes, 2) there was a significant effect of job expectancy towards students’ learning motivation which directly influenced their learning outcomes, 3) there was an effect of parenting, job expectancy, and learning motivation towards students’ learning outcomes.

Abstract

The low student mathematics learning outcomes are caused by several factors such as students' anxiety, learning discipline, and learning motivation. The study was aimed to analyze the effect of students’ anxiety, learning discipline, and learning motivation towards students’ mathematic learning outcomes.  The research design was in the form of ex post-facto by involving 235 vocational high school students. They were selected by using proportional random sampling. The data were obtained by conducting test and non-test technique. The test was conducted to obtain the students’ learning outcomes meanwhile the questionnaire was distributed to the students to gather their anxiety, learning discipline, and learning motivation. The research instruments were test and questionnaire. The obtained data were analysed through structural equation modelling (SEM). The result showed that;  1) there  was a positive effect of learning discipline on students’ mathematic learning , 2) there was a negative effect of students’ anxiety on students’ learning discipline, 3) there  was a direct negative influence contributed by students’ anxiety towards students’ learning motivation, 4) there was a direct positive effect of students’ learning motivation on students’ learning discipline, 5) there was a direct positive effect of learning motivation towards students’ mathematic learning outcomes, 6) there was a direct negative effect of anxiety on students’ learning discipline, and 7) there was indirect positive effect of learning motivation on students’ mathematic learning outcomes through learning discipline.
