Abstract

Karyawan merupakan aset penting yang harus dikelola dengan baik agar dapat memberikan kontribusi yang maksimal bagi perusahaan. Salah satu hal yang menjadi perhatian khusus adalah kepuasan kerja karyawan. Terdapat beberapa fenomena yang menarik dalam penelitian ini yaitu terkait indikasi turnover karyawan yang tinggi, kompensasi yang rendah dan tingkat kehadiran karyawan yang fluktuatif sehingga berdampak pada kepuasan kerja. Tujuan penelitian ini untuk menganalisis pengaruh kompensasi, motivasi terhadap kepuasan kerja. Sumber data penelitian ini adalah data primer yang berasal dari sampel yaitu karyawan hotel. Data menggunakan sampel jenuh dengan menyebarkan kuesioner kepada 130 responden. Metode yang digunakan adalah analisis regresi linier berganda. Hasilnya menunjukkan bahwa; kompensasi dan motivasi berpengaruh positif dan signifikan terhadap kepuasan kerja. Kesimpulan dari penelitian ini adalah kompensasi dan motivasi berpengaruh positif dan simultan terhadap kepuasan kerja karyawan. Saran dari peneliti untuk manajemen agar meningkatkan kesejahteraan karyawan dengan memberikan fasilitas kerja, inovasi, penghargaan dan penyesuaian jumlah karyawan yang ideal.

Abstract

The determination of the Covid-19 pandemic by the World Health Organization and government policies related to the PSBB policy had a major impact on room occupancy rates, this condition caused worry for guests to carry out activities in the hotel area. To prevent a significant decrease in the number of room occupancy rates, the Ministry of Tourism and Creative Economy issued a CHSE guidance program for the hotel industry to ensure that health protocols are in place and provide a sense of security for hotel guests who come, so that guests feel comfortable deciding to stay at the hotel. However, the phenomenon that occurred at Hotel Santika for the 2019- 2021 period was a decrease in the average occupancy from 69% before the pandemic to 43% and fluctuations occurred in the following years. The purpose of this study was to analyze the influence of the implementation of CHSE and promotions on the decision for guests to stay overnight, the data source of this research is primary data derived from samples, namely hotel guests. Data collection used a saturated sample by distributing questionnaires to 109 respondents. Research using multiple linear regression analysis method. The results of this study indicate that; CHSE in guest entrance, lobby front desk, restaurant, rest room & meeting room has a positive effect on the decision to stay and CHSE in the guest room, although the promotion variable does not have a significant effect on the decision to stay of guests at Hotel Santika, because during the pandemic many hotels reduced room prices simultaneously.

Abstract

During the pandemic, the continuity of job opportunities related to the tourism industry was concerning for vocational high school students, including students at SMKN 7 Kabupaten Tangerang. Therefore, socialization of career guidance regarding the hospitality industry during a pandemic is necessary so that students can anticipate their career plans after the study period is over. This community outreach activity is carried out so that students can have an understanding of their own potential and development in related industries and plan for the future according to their potential and interests rationally according to existing job opportunities. The material presented is related to the condition of the hospitality industry during Covid-19 pandemic and how to respond to this. The method applied to this community outreach was Service Learning Method as the activities were actively applying what was learnt in the campus to the community. The community outreach activities consist of 3 stages, namely the preparation, implementation, and evaluation stages. Activities are carried out online as a security measure during pandemic. After the activity ends, students can explore career development, identify their potential interests and talents, add relevant information to make career decisions, and improve their expertise and skills according to the career map made.
