Abstract

This research is a class action research (classroom action research) which aims to improve mathematics learning outcomes through the plantet question method in class XF students of SMA Negeri 3 Parepare. The subjects of this study were 14 students of class XF at SMA Negeri 3 Parepare. The research carried out in two cycles. Data collection was carried out by giving cycle I tests then cycle II tests. The collected data were analyzed quantitatively and qualitatively. The results of this study indicate that there is an increase in students' mathematics learning outcomes after learning through the plantet question method. In cycle I, the number of students who completed their studies was 5 students (35.71%) with an average score of 60.71 out of an ideal score of 100 in the low category. While in cycle II the number of students who completed their studies was 14 students (100%) with an average score of 83.14 in the high category. In addition, during the learning process, it shows a change in behavior and better student activity. Meanwhile, the average student activity that was not in accordance with learning decreased from cycle I to cycle II. This is in line with the increasing ability of teachers to manage learning. From the results of this study, it can be concluded that the results of students' mathematics learning through the plantet question method in class XF students of SMA Negeri 3 Parepare increased.

Abstract

The ecoprint technique is a form of textile art that uses natural materials, such as leaves and flowers, to print patterns and colors on fabric or paper. This process involves direct contact between plants and textile materials, with the aim of creating unique and environmentally friendly patterns. This service activity reviews ecoprint training activities carried out at UPTD SMP Negeri 9 Parepare on 28 November 2024. This activity involved 21 students who practiced ecoprint techniques through exploratory steps, such as preparing tools and materials, selecting plants, arranging media, pounding processes, and drying the work. The results of the activity showed that students were very enthusiastic about this technical training and succeeded in producing attractive and environmentally friendly ecoprint works. Apart from developing artistic skills, this activity also aims to increase students' awareness of the importance of maintaining environmental sustainability.

Abstract

This experimental research aims to determine the effect of the campus teaching program on students' mathematical literacy abilities in Parepare. The population of this study were students of junior high schools in Parepare. The sample in this study is one of the beneficiaries of the teaching campus program, namely SMP AL Badar, Parepare using the Purposive Sampling technique. The research data was obtained using an instrument in the form of an essay test consisting of 3 questions. The data analysis technique used is descriptive statistical data analysis and inferential statistical data analysis. The results of the descriptive statistical analysis of the pretest results showed that the average mathematical literacy ability for the experimental group was 52.50 and the control group was 53.15. After receiving the benefits of the teaching campus program for the experimental group, the average score for students' mathematical literacy was 73.62 and that of the control class was 66.38. The results of inferential statistical analysis based on the independent sample test show that the sig. 0.785 > α. So H1 is accepted and H0 is rejected. it can be concluded that there is a positive influence of the campus teaching program on students' mathematical literacy skills in Parepare.

Abstract

This study aims to develop an effective Islamic group counseling model to address adolescent spiritual crises in the digital era, particularly within the context of Islamic Religious Education (IRE) learning. The digitalization era has brought significant impacts on adolescent spiritual life, creating new challenges such as religious identity crisis, spiritual distraction, and disorientation of Islamic values. This research employs a Research and Development (R&D) approach with a mixed-method design, involving 180 high school students in Makassar City as research subjects. Data were collected through observation, in-depth interviews, Likert scale questionnaires, and focus group discussions (FGD). The developed Islamic group counseling model integrates modern psychological approaches with Islamic spiritual values, encompassing stages: (1) spiritual problem identification, (2) homogeneous group formation, (3) implementation of Quranic and Hadith-based Islamic counseling techniques, (4) spiritual evaluation and reflection. Results show that the Islamic group counseling model effectively enhances adolescent spiritual resilience with pre-test scores of 2.3 increasing to 4.2 in post-test (p<0.05). This model successfully reduced spiritual anxiety levels by 67%, increased worship practices by 73%, and strengthened religious identity by 81%. These findings indicate that integrating Islamic group counseling in IRE learning can be an effective solution to address adolescent spiritual crises in the digital era. The research implications highlight the importance of developing IRE teachers' competencies as Islamic counselors and the need for IRE curricula responsive to digitalization challenges.

Abstract

Daun kelor (Moringa oleifera) merupakan jenis pangan dengan kandungan zat gizi yang lengkap untuk balita stunting. Daun kelor pada umumnya hanya dikonsumsi sebagai sayur tanpa ada inovasi. Hal tersebut mendasari sehingga penting untuk dilakukan penerapan inovasi daun kelor dalam bentuk brownies sehingga menjadi jajanan yang dapat dikonsumsi setiap saat oleh balita. Tahapan pelaksanaan program meliputi sosialisasi kegiatan, persiapan kegiatan, pembuatan brownies, pengemasan brownies daun kelor dan pendistribusian brownies daun kelor. Pelaksanaan kegiatan melalui beberapa tahapan kegiatan seperti pembuatan brownies daun kelor. Pembuatan brownies daun kelor dilakukan di rumah ketua Tim Pelaksana (Usman). Langkah selanjutnya adalah pengemasan brownies daun kelor. Kegiatan pengemasan dilakukan oleh tim pelaksana dengan menggunakan bahan plastik mika DMS 4C. Setelah itu dilakukan pendistribusian atau pembagian brownies daun kelor kepada masyarakat. Selain pembagian produk brownies daun kelor, juga diselingi dengan edukasi tentang kandungan dan manfaat brownies daun kelor bagi kesehatan balita khususnya mencegah kejadian stunting. Dengan penerapan inovasi brownies daun kelor akan meningkatkan berat badan balita sehingga dapat mencegah kejadian stunting pada balita.

Abstract

This study aims to find out that the use of problems solving approach has a positive effect on students' abilities in solving story problems on the Pythagorean theorem class VIII.5 UPTD SMP Negeri 18 Barru. This type of research is quasi-experimental without a control class conducted in one group. The variables studied in this study were students' ability to solve word problems on the Pythagorean theorem class VIII.5 UPTD SMP Negeri 18 Barru as the dependent variable and learning using the problems solving method as the independent variable. The population of this study were all students of class VIII UPTD SMP Negeri 18 Barru for the academic year 2022/2023 which consisted of 5 (five) classes. Sampling was carried out by cluster random sampling, from 5 classes one class was taken randomly namely class VIII.5 as the experimental class. The instruments used in this study were tests of the ability to solve the Pythagorean theorem word problems and validated student activity observation sheets. Based on the descriptive statistical analysis, the average score of students' ability to solve the Pythagorean theorem story problems before learning using the problem solving learning method was 63,37 and the average score of students' ability to solve the Pythagorean theorem story problems after learning using the problem solving method was 80,40. Based on inferential statistical analysis using the one sample t-test, a significant value was obtained, p = 0,004 < a = 0, this means that H0 is rejected H1 is accepted. So it can be concluded that there is a positive effect of the problem solving learning method on the mathematics learning outcomes of class VIII.5 UPTD SMP Negeri 18 Barru.

Abstract

This study aims to find out that the application of the Course Review Horay learning model has a positive effect on the problem solving abilities of class VII UPTD students of SMP Negeri 1 Parepare. This type of research is a type of experimental research. The variables studied in this study were the problem solving abilities of class VII UPTD SMP Negeri 1 Parepare as the dependent variable and the application of the course review horay learning model as the independent variable. The population of this study was students of class VII UPTD SMP Negeri 1 Parepare for the 2022/2023 academic year consisting of 10 (ten) classes. Sampling used Cluster Sampling or stratified random sampling, from 10 classes one class was taken randomly, namely class VII.5 as the experimental class. The instruments used in this study were problem solving ability tests (pretest & posttest) and validated student activity observation sheets. Based on descriptive statistical analysis, the average value of mathematics learning outcomes before applying the course review horay learning model was 35.63 and the average value of mathematics learning outcomes after applying the course review horay learning model was 72.19. Based on the inferential statistical analysis using the One Sample t-test, a significant value was obtained, p = 0.000 < 0.05, this means that H0 is rejected and H1 is accepted. So it can be concluded that the application of the course review horay learning model has a positive effect on the problem solving abilities of class VII UPTD SMPN 1 Parepare.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to describe the benefits of the Merdeka Curriculum in mathematics learning, specifically on the topic of Basic Statistics for Grade VII.7 students at SMP Negeri 3 Parepare. This research employ-ed a descriptive qualitative approach. Data analysis was carried out in three stages: data reduction, data presentation, and verification or conclusion drawing. The validity of the data was examined using time triangulation. The research subjects were 29 students of Grade VII.7, but data analysis was conducted on 26 students, as 3 students were absent during data collection. The research instruments included observation sheets, a four-point Likert scale questionnaire, and interview guides developed based on three indicators: student independence, active participation, and material relevance. Data were collected through classroom observations on Basic Statistics, questionnaire distribution, interviews with three students representing high, medium, and low ability categories, and documentation. The findings indicate that the implementation of the Merdeka Curriculum has a positive impact on mathematics learning in Basic Statistics. The curriculum fosters student independence, enhances active participation, and facilitates better understanding of the material, as it is presented contextually and aligned with students’ needs.

Abstract

Mathematical communication skills are an essential competence in mathematics learning because they enable students to express ideas, explain reasoning, and represent concepts logically through symbols, writing, and diagrams. However, many students still experience difficulties in articulating mathematical thinking systematically due to teacher-centered learning that provides limited opportunities for discussion and written reflection. This condition necessitates the implementation of more interactive and collaborative learning models, one of which is the Think Talk Write (TTW) cooperative learning model. This study aims to analyze the effect of implementing the TTW model on the mathematical communication skills of eighth-grade junior high school students. The research employed a quantitative approach with a one-group pretest–posttest pre-experimental design. The sample was determined through cluster sampling involving 21 students of class VIII A. The instrument consisted of a validated essay test measuring mathematical communication skills. Data were analyzed using descriptive and inferential statistics, including a normality test and paired samples t-test at a significance level of 0.05. The results revealed a significant improvement in students’ mathematical communication skills after the implementation of the TTW model. The mean score increased from 64.86 on the pretest to 83.52 on the posttest, accompanied by a shift in ability categories from predominantly “moderate” to “high” and “very high.” The t-test produced a significance value of 0.000 (p < 0.05), indicating a meaningful difference between pre- and post-treatment results. Furthermore, the decrease in standard deviation suggests a reduction in ability gaps among students. Pedagogically, the effectiveness of TTW is supported by the integration of the think, talk, and write stages, which facilitate independent thinking, collaborative discussion, and structured written reasoning. Therefore, the TTW model is proven effective and recommended for enhancing students’ mathematical communication skills in mathematics learning.

Abstract

Mathematical literacy is an essential 21st-century competency that plays a crucial role in supporting individuals’ abilities to reason, solve problems, and make data-driven decisions across various real-life contexts. Along with the growing global attention to mathematical literacy, particularly through international assessments such as the PISA, research in this field has expanded rapidly in both quantity and scope. However, findings reported across different journals remain fragmented, highlighting the need for a systematic mapping to obtain a comprehensive overview of research trends, distributions, and future directions in mathematical literacy studies. This study aims to examine the relevance of mathematical literacy as a focus for future research, identify research trends and distributions, and explore the theoretical and practical implications for subsequent studies. The research employed a Systematic Literature Review combined with bibliometric analysis of 268 Scopus-indexed articles published up to December 15, 2025. The literature selection process followed the PRISMA framework, while bibliometric mapping and visualization were conducted using VOSviewer software. The results indicate a significant upward trend in publications since 2016, peaking in the 2023–2025 period, suggesting that mathematical literacy remains a highly relevant and prominent topic in mathematics education research. Geographically, Indonesia emerged as the largest contributor and a central hub in international research collaboration networks. Keyword co-occurrence analysis revealed the dominance of themes related to mathematical literacy, students, gender differences, psychology, PISA, and controlled studies. Nevertheless, notable research gaps persist, particularly regarding the integration of digital learning media. These findings provide important theoretical and practical foundations for the advancement of future research and instructional innovations in mathematical literacy.
