Abstract

S. ADISOEMARTO, SRI PARYANTI-WALUJO& WORO A.NOERDJITO. 1985. Domestic animal ownership within the kitchen gardens in Teluk naga, Citeureup and Pacet.Berita Biologi 3(2) : 70- 75. Surveys on domesticated animals in kitchen gardens were conducted in Teluknaga,Citeureup and Pacet in West Java in the middle of 1980.There were 13 kinds of animals listed. Each kind of these animals has been analysed on the bases of number of owners,rearing intensity and pattern of distribution in each locality. The most popular and widely distributed animals were chickens. This animal might be crowned as the "prima dona" of the kitchen garden environment.

Abstract

MOH. AMIR & WORO A. NOERDJITO, 1986.The presence insects on the intercrop plants of pigeonpeas and tomatoes. Berita Biologi 3(6): 268 -272.Intercropping system to reduce number of potential insect pests. However, the result will be vary depend on the appropriate component of the selected crops.The experiments using toniatoes as an intercrop of pigeonpeas was carried out at the HKTI (Himpunan Karya Tani Indonesia) garden at Tajur Bogor.The number of insect species as well as diversity in the intercropped pigeonpeas were compared with that in the pure stand of the same crops. The result indicated that number of insect species visited in the intercropped pigeonpeas was greater than in its pure culture.The number of insect species in the intercropped and pure pigeon peas increased with the increase of its developmental stages.The index diversity in the intercropped pigeonpeas were higher than that in its culture.

Abstract

W A. NOERDJITO&M.AMIR.1986.wood boring beetle of some leguminosae timbers.Berita Biologi 3(4): 159-162.At least 8 families of wood boring beetles were observed to cuse a damage on some leguminous timbers belong to the genus of Bauhinia,Albizia , Acacia,Sesbania,Erythrina and Glericida.They were namely Scolytidae(5Species),Platypodidae(4 species),Boctrychidae(6 species),Elateridae(1 species),Tenebrionidae(4 species),Erotylidae(1 species),Lucanidae(1 species) and Cetonidae(1 species).Hostplant selection of the beetles seemed to be determined by the timber species,as well as their state of decompositions.
