Abstract

The purpose of this study to  to produce multimedia of science learning in the topic of pressure the circulatory system and respiratory system in humans for students of junior high school class of VIII. In this study uses a Research and Development model that refers to the model of Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, and Evaluation (ADDIE). In the phase of analysis; a needs analysis, material analysis, and analysis of the level of ability and characteristics of the aim users carried out. Design Phase: create flowcharts and storyboards. At the stage of development, multimedia made. The phase of Implementation, multimedia that has been made validated by experts and limited trials. In the phase of evaluation; at this stage, the multimedia that has been implemented thoroughly evaluated. The evaluation results used to see the level of achievement linked the objectives set at the beginning of the program — data collection techniques used in the form of questionnaires. The data sources in this study consisted of 2 material experts, four media experts, two learning experts, and tested limited to 2 teachers and 18 students from junior high school  8 Kendari. The expert trial results stated that Adobe Flash CS6-based  the multimedia of Science learning on pressure material in the circulatory and respiratory systems in humans for students of Class VIII junior high school was under the design, and the material included inappropriate used as science learning multimedia. The results of a limited trial show that the multimedia of science learning in the material of pressure in the circulatory system and the respiratory system in humans is worthy used as a multimedia learning science

Abstract

This research-based on technological advances that promote the use of technology in learning, on the lack of valid, practical and effective lesson plans, particularly in problem-based learning models that are in line with the 2013 curriculum, and on the use of Lectora Inspire Software in the creation of lesson plans. This study was conducted to develop a product that is a problem-based learning model based on Lectora Inspire software, and that is valid, practical and effective. This type of research is research and development (research and development). The design of this study based on 5 out of 10 phases of Borg and Gall's research design, namely research and collection of initial information, planning, development of original product formats, initial testing and product improvement. The effectiveness test results were rated as very good if the results of the analysis of the responses of teachers and students with an average of 88% and 89.04% as and the increase (n-gain) of student learning outcomes is 0.62 which can be categorized as a moderate increase.

Abstract

Previous researchers have investigated the manufacture of lithium battery electrode materials from Li5FeO4 composites with activated carbon of cashew nutshells. However, the effect of combining activated carbon to the lithium battery electrode material was not reviewed. The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of the comparison of the mass composition of Li5FeO4 and cashew nut shell active carbon on the capacitance value of the lithium battery electrode. These electrodes generated using the high-temperature solid-state method. The material used is iron oxide Fe2O3 from iron sand and LiOH.H2O, which homogenized with a sintering temperature of 850ÌŠC for 15 hours with a ratio of 6/1 to produce Li5FeO4. Then Li5FeO4 was compiled with activated carbon of cashew nut shells with a mass fraction of activated carbon 60%, 50%, 40%, and 20%. Furthermore, it characterized using cyclic voltammetry. The results of cyclic voltammetry characterization for a mass fraction of 60% produce a capacitance of 4.7 F / g, a mass fraction of 50% produces a capacitance of 59.1 F / g, a mass fraction of 40% produces a capacitance of 87, 3 F / g, and a mass fraction of 20% produces capacitance of 243 F / g. From the four variations of mass fraction, the capacitance that meets the lithium battery electrode capacitance on the market is the mass fraction of 20%.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of variations of  activation temperature of  activated carbon from sugar palm bunches of chemically activatied with the activation agent of potassium silicate (K2SiO3) on the crystalline structure. Activated carbon is the result of pyrolysis of carbonaceous raw materials at temperatures lower than  of 1000 oC. Activated carbon from bunches of sugar palm acquired in four steps: preparation steps, carbonization steps using the pyrolysis reactor with temperature of 300 oC - 400 oC for 8 hours and chemical activation using of potassium silicate (K2SiO3) activator in weight ratio of 2: 1 and physical activation using the electric furnace for 30 minutes with temperature variation of 600 oC, 650 oC, 700 oC, 750 oC and 800 oC. The crystalline structure tested by X-Ray Diffraction (XRD) method, the results yielded of 26,60o, 26,62o, 26,16o, 26,22o, 26,97o,  and 26,68o respectively. The highest crystalline structure yield was 22.26% at temperature of  600 oC and the lowest was 8.83% at temperature of 650 oC. The results obtained were amorphous  91.17% at the highest temperature of 650 oC and the lowest 77.74% at temperatur of  600 oC  which has a random and irregular arrangement pattern of atoms or molecules repeatedly or not periodically.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the understanding of the concept of students on mechanical wave material for students in class XI SMAN 1 Mawasangka Tengah. This type of research is a type of quantitative descriptive research. In this study, the authors wanted to analyze the students' conceptual understanding using the Four-tier diagnostic test instrument. The object of this research is the students of class XI IPA (1) and XI IPA (2) at SMAN 1 Mawasangka Tengah. The data in this study are primary data collected using four-tier diagnostic tests and documentation. The results of the data analysis showed that the average value of the percentage level of understanding of sub-concept students (1) the factors that influence the speed of the wave propagation, namely 4.4% understanding the concept, 81.4% misconception and 14.2% not understanding the concept (2) The current wave period is 23.5% understanding the concept, 64.4% misconception and 13.1% not understanding the concept (3) The frequency of the traveling wave is 32.2% understanding the concept, 51.4% misconception and 16.4 % do not understand the concept (4) Frequency on stationary waves is 36.6% understand the concept, 48.6% misconception and 14.7% do not understand the concept and (5) Wavelength on stationary waves is 15.8% understand the concept, 69 , 9% had misconceptions and 14.2% did not understand the concept. Based on the results of the analysis, it was concluded that: 1) The students' understanding of the concept of mechanical waves was included in the low category. Students who understood the concept were 22.5%, most of the students' understanding of the criteria did not understand the concept of 14.7% and 62.8% indicated that they had misconceptions. 2) Misconception of the high category found in the concept of factors that affect the speed of wave propagation by 81.4%.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the results of students' technological literacy abilities on technical aspects, cognitive aspects and social aspects. The object in this study was class X students on a multimedia expertise program with 100 people. This research uses descriptive-quantitative research methods. The instrument used in this study was a student technology literacy questionnaire. The type of data obtained is quantitative data obtained from the student's technological literacy abilities questionnaire. Data analysis procedures in this study were: (1) calculating the total score from the questionnaire for each student; (2) determine the value of students' technology literacy abilities for each indicator; and (3) categorizing students' technology literacy abilities based on technical, cognitive and social aspects. The results of the technology literacy ability of the tenth grade students of the multimedia expertise program at SMKN 4 Kendari for each aspect, namely the technical aspects, 84.75% are in the good category in the cognitive aspect, 71.06% are in the quite good category. and in the social aspect, 86, 31% are in the very good category. Thus it can be concluded that students' technological literacy skills, especially in the cognitive aspects are still low and need to be improved so that in the future they can compete in technological development. Therefore, further researchers are advised to focus on cognitive aspects.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan proses keterampilan sains peserta didik pada materi pokok usaha dan pesawat sederhana dengan menggunakan model pemeblajaran inkuiri terbimbing. Teknik pengumpulan data dalam penelitian ini adalah dilakukan dengan pemberian instrumen penelitian yaitu tes keterampilan proses sains berupa tes uraian dan tes hasil belajar IPA berupa tes pilihan ganda. Data penelitian dianalisis dengan menggunakan dua teknik analisis statistik yaitu analisis statistik deskriptif dan analisis statistik inferensial. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa penerapan model pembelajaran inkuiri terbimbing dapat meningkatkan keterampilan proses sains dan hasil belajar IPA peserta didik kelas VIII SMP Negeri 2 Binongko pada materi pokok Usaha dan Pesawat Sederhana dengan tingkat kepercayaan 95%.

Abstract

Tujuan dari penelitian ini yaitu mendeskripsikan peningkatan keterampilan proses sains dan hasil belajar peserta didik kelas X2 teknik instalasi listrik SMK Negeri 2 Raha sesudah diterapkannya model pembelajaran inkuiri terbimbing. Metode penelitian ini, menggunakan metode penelitian tindakan kelas. Prosedur penelitian berbentuk siklus. Data keterampilan proses sains peserta didik diperoleh melalui lembar kerja peserta didik, data hasil belajar peserta didik diperoleh melalui tes hasil belajar (tes siklus) dan selanjutnya dianalisis secara deskriptif. Dari hasil analisis data diperoleh keterampilan proses sains  peserta didik sesudah diterapkan model pembelajaran inkuiri terbimbing dari siklus I ke siklus II mengalami peningkatan yaitu nilai rata-rata sebesar 2,6 dengan kategori cukup  menjadi 3,25 dengan kategori baik. Hasil belajar dasar listrik dan elektronika peserta didik dari siklus I ke siklus II mengalami peningkatan yaitu dengan nilai rata-rata dari 64 menjadi 73 dengan ketuntasan hasil belajar sebesar 46,66% menjadi  83,33%

Abstract

Activated carbon from bunches of sugar palmacquired in four steps: preparationsteps, carbonizationstepsusing the pyrolysis reactor with temperature of 300 oC - 400 oC for 8 hours and chemical activation using of potassium silicate (K2SiO3) activator in weight ratio of 2: 1 and physical activation using the electric furnace for 30 minutes with temperature variation of600 oC, 650 oC, 700 oC, 750 oC and 800 oC. The iodine and methyleneblue adsorption testedby Titrimetric method and Spectrophotometry methodrespectively. The results of the adsorption of iodine and methylene blue activated carbon from sugar palm bunches increased from 240.55 mg/g and 63.14 mg/g at a temperature of 600 oC to achieve the highest adsorption capacity of 325.80 mg/g and 73.59 mg/g at temperature of 700 oC and decreased by 257.54 mg/g and 52.03 mg/g at a temperature of 800 oCrespectively.However, it does not meet to Indonesia standard (Standard Nasional Indonesia/SNI), which is 750 mg/g and 120 mg/g respectively.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the misconceptions of unidirectional electric circuit material in elementary school students of the city of Kendari using a four-tier test. Sampling uses a purposive sampling technique with the consideration of taking schools that have the same vocational training so that they get 4 classes from the Department of Computer and Network Engineering totaling 110 people. The population of this research is all students of SMK Negeri Kendari City. Data collection was carried out by providing a test instrument in the form of four-tier diagnostic test questions totaling 15 numbers, which were adopted from the 2018 Tami Beniarti questions and interviews. Data were analyzed using qualitative descriptive analysis to obtain a percentage of concept understanding, misconception, partial understanding, not understanding the concept and cannot be coded to students so that conclusions are obtained: (1) the average percentage of concept understanding is 12.8%, misconceptions are 24.1 %, do not understand the concept of 23.4%, understand partially by 37.5%, and cannot be coded as much as 2.2%, (2) Students' misconceptions of each sub-concept are successively electric current and potential difference (34) , 24%), electrical resistance and circuit resistance (23.94%), simple circuit analysis (17.88%), Ohm's law (21.82%), and Kirchoff's law (22.73%), (3) percentage of misconceptions among students in each vocational high school namely at SMKN 1 Kendari the percentage of misconceptions was 18.0%, for SMKN 3 Kendari the percentage of misconceptions was 19.7%, for SMKN 4 Kendari the percentage of misconceptions was 29.9%, whereas for SMKN 5 Kendari the percentage of misconceptions of 29.3%. Overall the percentage obtained for each school is of low category.
