Abstract

Service Quality Assurance (SQA) is one of a unit in PT XYZ an Indonesian e-commerce company. SQA is responsible for ensuring and maintaining services given to customers by Customer Service agents to meet the company's quality standard. However, the application was built without integration with the Customer Relationship Management (CRM) system, the main customer service application at PT XYZ. The problem is that if companies need SQA data, they must manually input data from SQA to CRM. This can cause vulnerabilities in the data input process. As a result, it impacts the company's business processes, which are inefficient and can be detrimental both materially and immaterially. This research aims to provide recommendations to improve the quality of SQA data so that companies can use the data to be integrated into the CRM system. The Total Data Quality Management (TDQM) method was used for this study with three dimensions: completeness, validity and accuracy. The results of each dimension are 99.64% for completeness, 84.75% for validity, and 100% for accuracy. Business rules on the validity dimension that have the lowest data quality are V1 28.57% and V6 65.11%. The problem factors were identified as an incomplete data dictionary, incomplete and obsolete SOP documents, and no business processes and data control on the application. Recommendations to improve the data quality of the application are PT XYZ can conduct an in-depth study of business roles so that all business processes can be clearly defined and regulations can be set forth in SOP documents. The use of specific reference data for each domain can be used to increase data legitimacy and the level of data suitability.

Abstract

Indonesian government is targeting one million halal product certification in 2023. And the government is targeting that by 2024 all products in Indonesia will be halal certified. This certainly needs support from various parties. Indonesian government through the Halal Product Assurance Organizing Agency (BPJPH) appoints the Halal Product Process Assistance Agency (LP3H) which acts as an extension and assists business actors (micro - small) through assistance in the halal certification process. However, data on the halal information system shows that only 749,971 products have been declared halal in 2022 and there is still a need for massive socialization efforts so that government programs are realized. To support this program, LP3H ITB AD conducts activities for prospective Halal Product Process (PPH) assistants to help verify and validate the halal process for business actors. The aim of the research is to disseminate basic information and knowledge to prospective PPH assistants regarding the legal basis, verification, validation, materials and processes for halal certification. The method used in this research is descriptive quantitative. Data collection was obtained from the results of the questionnaire. The results of this study show that on average 66% of the participants understand the information material related to the halal process and 79% are very satisfied with the presentation of the resource persons.

Abstract

Training and mentoring on the halal product process aims to provide understanding and skills to PPH companions, who will then pass on to business actors in applying halal principles in all stages of production, from raw materials to finished products. With appropriate training and mentoring, business actors can understand the importance of halal products and manage production well to meet halal certification requirements. In the long run, halal products will have added value because they are considered safer and more trustworthy by consumers who prioritize product quality and religious aspects. The Halal Resource Development Study and Development Center (PK-PSDH) ITB Ahmad Dahlan Jakarta carried out training and mentoring activities on May 9-12, 2022, attended by 159 participants. Based on the results of the activity, as many as 279 products have obtained their halal certification, 90 data are still in submission, 31 data are submitted, 67 data are finished with LP3H, 31 data are returned, 19 data are returned to the Fatwa Commission, 59 data are canceled, and 3 data are sent to the fatwa commission. Halal training and mentoring will continue to be carried out in the future to assist business actors in improving product quality and consumer confidence, as well as increasing business competitiveness in the global market.
