Abstract

ABSTRAK Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk membuat distribusi Linux bernama Lubuntu yang memfokuskan diri pada desktop yang ringan serta ditujukan untuk menjadi lingkungan web server yang free dalam bentuk live USB. Dimana, penelitian ini menjelaskan tentang desain dan implementasi dari distribusi Linux Lubuntu itu sendiri yang nantinya bisa terus diperbaiki, disempurnakan dan dimungkinkan untuk dimodifikasi serta dipelajari oleh pihak lain. Lubuntu dikembangkan dengan memodifikasi dari Linux Lubuntu 14.04 dari tahap penambahan program, penghapusan program dan konfigurasi sampai pada tahap pembuatan Live USB untuk LAMP (Linux Apache Mysql PHP) menggunakan metode remastering. Hasil dari penelitian ini berupa Live USB yang berisi tool untuk lingkungan web server. Tool utama dalam Live USB diantaranya adalah phpmyadmin, gimp, inkscape, dan bluefish. Keluaran penelitian ini, diharapkan bisa digunakan sebagai sistem operasi dan dikhususkan dalam lingkungan web server yang nyaman untuk dipergunakan dalam proses belajar mengajar pada matakuliah sistem operasi, pemrograman basis web I, dan pemrograman basis web II di Fakultas Sains dan Teknologi Universitas Katolik Musi Charitas palembang. Kata kunci: linux, web server, LAMP, remastering, live usb.

Abstract

Community Service Activities aims to provide assistance by utilizing IT in the realization of Cc5 + values for students of SMP St. Yoseph Lahat. The specific target expected from this activity is the increased ability of junior high school students. Yoseph Lahat in designing and creating interactive IT-based presentation materials to prepare the competition OSTARNAS III. The software used is MS Power Point. Methods of implementation undertaken starting from the determination of partners, justification partner issues, procedures undertaken, work plans, and the expec ted output in the mentoring activities. Outcome of the implementation of this activity is expected: 1)students make presentations about interactive Cc5 + values using IT-based technology, 2) students understand the use of technology in making presentation materials about Cc5 + values as a support for the preparation process of the OSTARNAS III contest, and 3) the students mastered the presentation material on Cc5 + values with the best preparation for the competition OSTARNAS III. The results of the questionnaire stated that the OSTARNAS III advisory activities agreed / benefited by 46.67% and strongly agreed / beneficial to Junior High School students. Yosef Lahat equal to 53.33%

Abstract

Schools are generally used as places for formal community education, schools continue to evolve in terms of infrastructure development, human resources, especially teachers, and a curriculum system to keep up with the evolving times. Vocational High School prepares students who are ready to work, especially industries that need human resources who already have the required hard skills.Especially for the TKJ (computer network) concentration, students are given a workshop from the continuation of the socialization that had been previously held. The workshops are conducted online using video conferencing with the google meet application, applications such as power points and other application simulators are displayed by sharing the desktop view with workshop participants (students of SMK Xaverius 1 Palembang)Indicators for the assessment of workshop activities using a questionnaire and the results of several question points responded to by 22 students of SMK Xaverius Palembang. The highest percentage of questions "is the topic of activity interesting?" is at the 4th rate with a performance of 22.7%, the question "Material / material activity fading?" found at rate 5 with an achievement of 54.5%, the question "The delivery of the material / material is clear?" found at the 4th rate with a gain of 50%, the question "Is this activity generally interesting?" is at the 4th rate with a achievement of 54.5% and the question "Is this activity very useful?" there is the 5th rate with an achievement of 59.1%, with these results many of them have a positive attitude in this PkM activity.

Abstract

ABSTRACT This Community Service activity aims to provide assistance by utilizing IT for student of St. Yosef Lahat High School. The specific target expected from this activity is that students are able to understand and master the material on arithmetic, analytics, and algorithmic using IT-based technology to prepare for the 2018 OSK competition.The method of implementation carried out begins with determining partners, justifying the problems of partner, procedures carried out, work plans in community service activities. In its implementation, mentoring was carried out by a Team consisting of 3 lecturers and 1 student. The results of the questionnaire stated that this 2018 OSK competition assistance activity was useful for High School Student St. Yosef Lahat with an average of 78%. The mentoring output is High School Students St. Yosef Lahat understands  and master OSK questions including arithmetic, analytics, and algorithms with the best to prepare for the 2018 OSK competition.Keywords:  Assistance, OSK Competition, IT ABSTRAKKegiatan Pengabdian pada Masyarakat ini bertujuan untuk mengadakan pendampingan dengan memanfaatkan IT bagi siswa SMA St. Yosef Lahat. Target khusus yang diharapkan dari kegiatan ini adalah para siswa mampu memahami dan menguasai materi tentang aritmatika, analitika, dan algoritmika menggunakan teknologi berbasis IT guna persiapan lomba OSK 2018. Metode pelaksanaan yang dilakukan dimulai dari penentuan mitra, justifikasi persoalan mitra, prosedur yang dilakukan, rencana kerja dalam kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat. Dalam pelaksanaannya, pendampingan dilakukan oleh Tim yang terdiri dari 3 dosen dan 1 mahasiswa. Hasil kuesioner menyatakan bahwa kegiatan pendampingan lomba OSK 2018 ini bermanfaat bagi siswa SMA St. Yosef Lahat dengan rata-rata sebesar 78 %. Luaran pendampingan ini adalah siswa SMA St Yosef Lahat memahami dan menguasai soal-soal OSK meliputi aritmatika, analitika, dan algoritmika dengan sebaiknya guna persiapan lomba OSK 2018. Abstract

Saat ini, banyak orang tidak bisa hidup tanpa musik. Musik merupakan bagian yang sangat berguna bagi kehidupan manusia untuk bersantai, menghilangkan stres, ataupun mengubah suasana hati. Musik sangat mudah ditemukan di banyak website saat ini. Namun orang-orang yang menyukai musik terkadang lupa atau salah paham dengan judul lagu yang sering didengarkan dan dinyanyikan khususnya lagu melayu di berbagai website. Sehingga membuat kesulitan untuk mencari judul lagu melayu yang diinginkan, dikarena website tidak dapat menginformasikan ejaan kata yang dimaksud sesuai dengan arti judul lagu. Maka dari itu, penulis membuat aplikasi pencarian lagu melayu terkhusus karya Arif Putra berbasis website dengan menggunakan algoritma Levenshtein Distance. Algoritma ini digunakan untuk memperbaiki kesalahan ejaan judul lagu, baik karena kecepatan mengetik ataupun typo dari user. Levenshtein Distance menghitung jumlah minimum dari operasi perubahan paling sedikit yang diperlukan untuk mengubah satu string menjadi string lainnya. Operasi perubahan tersebut adalah penyisipan, penghapusan, dan pertukaran. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan penerapan algoritma Levenshtein Distance dapat memperbaiki pencarian judul lagu yang memiliki kesalahan ejaan kata. Sedangkan dari hasil responden berjumlah 85 orang menyatakan 23,53% sangat setuju dan 60% setuju bahwa algoritma Levenshtein Distance yang diterapkan dapat meminimalisir kesalahan ejaan pada pencarian lagu melayu karya Arif Putra.Today, many people cannot live without music. Music is a very useful part of human life to relax, relieve stress, or change mood. Music is very easy to find on many websites today. However, people who like music sometimes forget or misunderstand the title of the song that is often heard and sung, especially Malay songs, on various websites. So that makes it difficult to find the desired Malay song title, because the website cannot inform the spelling of the word in question according to the meaning of the song title. Therefore, the author created a web-based search application for Malay songs, especially Arif Putra's works, using the Levenshtein Distance algorithm. This algorithm is used to correct spelling mistakes in song titles, either due to typing speed or typos from users. Levenshtein Distance calculates the minimum number of change operations required to convert one string into another. The change operations are insert, delete, and exchange. The results showed that the application of the Levenshtein Distance algorithm can improve the search for song titles that have spelling errors. Meanwhile, from the results of the respondents, there were 85 people who stated that 23.53% strongly agreed and 60% agreed that the Levenshtein Distance algorithm applied could minimize spelling errors in searching Malay songs by Arif Putra.

Abstract

Abstract : This study aims to determine the level of application of green computing at the Universitas Katolik Musi Charitas Palembang and recommend strategies in implementing green computing. Where green computing itself is the study and realization of the use of computing resources efficiently and environmentally friendly. The purpose of green computing is to increase the efficiency of use and reduce energy consumption and carbon footprint. Universitas Katolik Musi Charitas Palembang has long been using Information Technology (IT), one of which is a computer to support the ongoing process of the academic community. But the use of computers unwittingly provides a big role in environmental pollution and CO2 emissions. Based on the results of research that still needs to be socialized about understanding the importance of management and utilization in the use of IT equipment and policies to support the reduction of energy consumption and environmental pollution.
