Abstract

This study aims to determine the Effect of Learning Media Influence and Interest in Learning Outcomes of English in Public Junior High School Students in Lebak Banten. Furthermore,the researcher to find out the effect of learning media interaction and learning interest on learning outcomes  using the quantitative experiment method. This study used population of 583 students and sample of 70 students. The research hypotheses tested include: 1) There is a significant effect of learning media on learning outcomes. 2) There is a significant effect of interest in learning on learning outcomes. 3) There is a significant interactive influence on learning media and interest in learning about learning outcomes. Then from the results of the hypothesis test, it was found that 1) there is a significant effect of learning media on the learning outcomes of English students of Lebak region at Junior High School. This is evidenced by the acquisition of the Sig. = 0,000 <0,05 and F count = 16,334. 2) There is a significant effect of interest in learning on the learning outcomes of English students in Lebak region at Junior High School. This is evidenced by the acquisition of Sig. = 0,000 <0,05 and F count = 15,127. 3) There is a significant interaction effect of learning media and learning interest in the learning outcomes of English students of Lebak region Junior High School. This is evidenced by the acquisition of Sig. = 0,000 <0,05 and F count = 13,833.

Abstract

AbstractThis research aimed to explore the use of Indirect Corrective Feedback (ICF) in monitoring students’ writing accuracy, the students’ attitudes toward Indirect Corrective Feedback, and the benefits of Indirect Corrective Feedback. This was a  qualitative research which used a case study method. This research was conducted at SMAN 3 Rangkasbitung. It involved only one class is the students of X MIPA 3 in SMAN 3 Rangkasbitung. This class consists of 36 students but in this research the writer focus on 10 students. The writer choosen it purposively. the writer answered the research questions by using four instruments such as document, questionnaire, interview, and observation. Then results of this research revealed that first, ICF could improve students` writing accuracy. Second, ICF helps the students to write better. Third, ICF help the student to avoid the same errors. Fourth, ICF makes the students more independent, and ICF motivates students to learn the next writing lesson.

Abstract

Mastering vocabulary is one of the important factor in learning English. In general, EFL Young Learners interpret vocabulary as a matter of words and also related to meaning and dictionary. The objectives of this research are: (1) to find out whether or not the use of PPP approach can improve the vocabulary mastery of the fifth grade learners at SD Pasalakan 2 Sumber Cirebon; and (2) to describe the class situation when PPP approach is implemented in teaching vocabulary. The study was carried out by using qualitative and quantitative method. The data collected using various techniques in qualitative method obtain from questionnaire, interview, classroom observation, and field note. While technique of collecting data using quantitative method was obtained from vocabulary test that consist of pre-test and post-test. Then in analyzing the qualitative data, the writer uses analyzing action research, while quantitative data are analyzed by using descriptive statistics method. The improvement of EFL young learners’ vocabulary mastery included: (1) pronouncing words correctly; (2) spelling the words correctly; (3) understanding the meaning of words; (4) making simple English sentences correctly. Related to the improvement in the classroom situation, EFL young learners are more enthusiastic and more interested in learning process.

Abstract

The purpose of the research is to obtain information regarding the possibility of whether job performance is affected by the work environment, competence, and work satisfaction. Using a causal study through a survey of English teachers at junior high schools in Malingping District, Lebak Banten, Indonesia. The population of the study is 80 and the sample of this study consists of 46 teachers. The data for each variable were collected separately by the respondents who filled out the questionnaire. The method used in this study is a quantitative survey method, while the analytical technique used is regression analysis. The results prove that there is an effect of the work environment on performance, there is an effect of competence on performance, there is an effect of job satisfaction on performance, and there is an influence of work environment, competence, and work satisfaction on the sat performance of junior high school English teachers in Malingping District.  These findings indicate that the strength of the work environment is driven by qualified workforce competence that brings work satisfaction to English Teachers, which partially shows the influence of these three variables on work performance

Abstract

Penelitian ini meneliti dampak perhatian orang tua dan kemandirian belajar siswa terhadap perilaku SDM sekolah. Penelitian ini mengeksplorasi bagaimana dukungan kemandirian orang tua dan kontrol psikologis membentuk kemandirian relatif siswa dalam belajar, yang pada gilirannya mempengaruhi sikap dan tindakan staf sekolah. Penelitian sebelumnya menunjukkan bahwa dukungan kemandirian orang tua berhubungan positif dengan berbagai hasil akademis dan sosial pada anak-anak yang sedang berkembang, dan juga pada anak-anak yang mengalami ketidakmampuan belajar (Shea, 2013) (Vansteenkiste et al., 2005). Untuk menguji hubungan yang dihipotesiskan, akan dilakukan survei cross-sectional terhadap sampel staf sekolah, termasuk guru, konselor, dan administrator. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk memperluas temuantemuan ini dengan memeriksa implikasi hilir untuk perilaku personal sekolah. Dihipotesiskan bahwa siswa dengan tingkat kemandirian belajar yang lebih tinggi, yang dipupuk oleh pengasuhan yang mendukung kemandirian, akan memperoleh perilaku yang lebih positif dan mendukung dari staf sekolah dibandingkan dengan siswa yang mengalami kontrol psikologis orang tua yang tinggi. Hasil dari penelitian ini akan memberikan wawasan tentang bagaimana sistem sekolah dapat mengoptimalkan lingkungan belajar dengan mempromosikan dukungan kemandirian orang tua dan pengaturan diri siswa.
