Abstract

Next year Indonesia held a political election. Political actors may express their aspirations and hope within the public sphere. As consequence, political contestation increases dramatically. While the expression is abundant, it can be called the democratic feast. But previous democratic feasts taught us that the process of electoral politics seems so far from its idealized norms. For example, the relationship between minority and majority has worsened because of identity politics. Why this is happening? This article wants to address that problem from Rawlsian point of view. Equipped with a theory of justice, we would reflect the condition of Indonesia’s political world. To consider the effect of strong religious attainment and religious plurality, our analysis will be complemented with a doctrinal perspective, especially from Quran and Bible. We found that, within modern-state politics, majoritarian power is allowed because it is the best way to ensure regulation bills pass smoothly. It is consistent with Rawls’ argument that majoritarian power flourishes within rational calculation about the goals of principles of justice. It is not quite different from doctrinal perspectives which insist on citizen participation as an essential part of national building.

Abstract

This study systematically reviews literature on Instagram-based digital branding strategies and their influence on engagement and business performance of MSMEs (UMKM) in West Kalimantan. It aims to identify key strategies, assess their effectiveness, and synthesize findings related to brand awareness, customer engagement, and business growth outcomes. The research adopts a Systematic Literature Review (SLR) using the PRISMA framework. Literature was sourced from Google Scholar, Scopus, and peer-reviewed journals on digital marketing and MSMEs. Findings show that Instagram digital branding improves engagement through visual content, storytelling, consistent posting, reels, live streaming, and hashtags. Higher engagement increases brand awareness, customer loyalty, and purchase decisions, leading to improved sales, market expansion, and revenue growth. However, limited digital literacy and weak content optimization remain major challenges for MSMEs.

Abstract

The discourse on harmony has always been an interesting topic of discussion. Harmony is inherently a social good, or at least, a desire of many. Indonesia, with a population of about 280 million, is indeed diverse. The six officially recognized religions certainly do not fully represent this diversity. It is well known that many religions and beliefs contribute to the diversity of the Indonesian people. In addition to religion, which is an important element in the identity of its citizens, cultural diversity is also equally important and diverse. This situation requires a common awareness of the importance of maintaining harmony. This study aims to offer new ideas in dealing with this diversity. Using a library research approach, this study presents various perspectives from several figures concerned with the issue of dialogue as the basis for this study to offer new ideas. The results of this study show the need for an open attitude to recognize and be recognized by others, both one's religion and culture, both to and by others. To establish a good dialogue, there must be a willingness to skip and return, as a method of dialogue. Transcending is the courage of every religious believer to abandon their own beliefs, then transcend the beliefs of others, and return to their own beliefs with a new perspective, thus transforming the understanding of the motherland into a wonderland. Similarly, if one can acknowledge that several different cultures can exist in the same environment, then multiculturalism will be created.
