Abstract

The characteristics of the watershed (DAS) have an influence on the size of the discharge, erosion, and sediment in a watershed. Erosion is the process of wearing away topsoil by water or wind. The rate of erosion and sedimentation that occurs is often caused and influenced by climate, soil, topography, plants, land use, human activities, river hydraulic characteristics, and cross-sectional characteristics. The purpose of this study is to obtain information on the magnitude of erosion and sedimentation per unit area in the Acai River. The methods used for this research activity are primary and secondary data analysis methods, using the tools of the ArcGis, and Hecras programs and manual observations and measurements in the laboratory to obtain sedimentation values and shear stresses. The results obtained based on the observations and analysis carried out, the erosion rate using the USLE method was 110.90 tons/ha/year, the peak flood discharge was 18.64 m3/s (Q10) which could not be accommodated by the Acai River and the amount of sedimentation per unit area in the study location for the downstream area is 84,564,439 tons/ha

Abstract

Natural flooding phenomena can be a disaster, which can cause life difficulties, loss of life, and property for affected humans. In 2022, a few points of the Kampwolker River that once spilled into the settlements could endanger the population. The objective of this study is to find out the mitigation of natural disasters at the site of the study, monitoring the hydrological conditions of the DAS. The results of the study show that 20 dangerous houses are located on the cliffs of the Kampwolker River, six electricity poles whose positions must be considered. Hydrological monitoring of rivers is carried out with effective rainfall 2 hours after rain. The river capacity is unable to accommodate the discharge in the middle section of 420.58 m3/sec and in the downstream section 447.91 m3/sec. Physical quality of the water is cloudy brownish, lots of sediment, odorless, the water quality class is in the heavy class. The material is found to be easily carried away by streams during heavy rain.

Abstract

Food sovereignty is one of the main programs of the Indonesian government at this time. Food sovereignty must start from gradual food self-sufficiency followed by an increase in the added value of agricultural businesses that are widely used to improve the welfare of farmers. Some of the obstacles include land status, land to be printed is recorded as a forest area, water sources do not yet have adequate irrigation networks. The purpose of this service is to evaluate the achievement of the rice field printing program, analyze obstacles in achieving the program to re-optimize rice field printing land. The methods used are the Survey Preparation Stage, Survey Stage, Investigation Stage and Evaluation Stage and Report Preparation. The results obtained are: the rice field printing program only reached 10 hectares of the expected 200 hectares or only reached 5%, so real follow-up action is needed from the recommended steps, namely: increasing PPL, improving irrigation networks, adding facilities and infrastructure, and rice fields are used as secondary crops. Although there are obstacles faced, they can be resolved well.

Abstract

Aliran pada saluran terbuka merupakan aliran yang mempunyai permukaan bebas yang mempunyai bidang kontak yakni pada dinding dan dasar saluran. Saat ini banyak terdapat saluran yang pada realitanya tidak memperhatikan standart perencanaan untuk kemiringan, dimensi saluran ataupun kelayakkan banyak sedikitnya volume sedimentasi yang tertinggal pada saluran,sehingga pada akhirnya menimbulkan bencana dan kerusakan lingkungan.Tujuan dari penelitian ini yaitu melakukan studi ekperimen saluran dengan variasi kemiringan dan debit sehingga mendapatkan gambaran angka kecepatan aliran dan vomume sedimentasi dari suatu flume yang permukaan dasarnya dari pasir kasar. Metode yang di gunakan yaitu pengujian aliran dari model fisik saluran. Hasil eksperimen diperoleh jika kemiringan saluran 3% volume sedimentasi 132 m3, gaya seret 1,866 kg/m3 dan kecepatan adalah sebesar 0,485 m/det sedangkan jika kemiringannya 7 % diperoleh volume sedimentasi 184,8 m3, gaya seret 0,8 kg/m3 dan kecepatan sebesar 0,403 m/det. Ada pengaruh significant jika terdapat perubahan kemiringan saluran dan ketebalan material dasar pasir kasar.
