Abstract

The semester lesson plan is a learning tool used in higher education. The semester lesson plan was designed by applying case-based learning (CBL) and project-based learning (PjBL) models, which aim to achieve the target of course graduates. The digital classroom management course is new in the MBKM curriculum implemented in study programs. Therefore, it requires learning tools to support the implementation of lecture activities. This study aims to develop a semester lesson plan by applying valid and effective case-based learning (CBL) and project-based learning (PjBL) models in the learning activities. This research is development research with the ADDIE model. The subjects in the study were five lecturers and 30 students. The research produced a valid and effective semester lesson plan for digital classroom management courses.

Abstract

This service activity aims to increase teacher competence and creativity regarding digital classroom management innovations using Moodle-based LMS. This community service was conducted through training, guidance, and evaluation activities with methods in the form of presentations, demonstrations, practices, and discussions. This service partner was SMAN 11 Muaro Jambi. The data collection instrument was a questionnaire which was analyzed descriptively and qualitatively. The results of this service showed that creating a digital learning media platform in the form of a Moodle-based LMS and the average user response through the distribution of questionnaires led that training activities being considered very good and helpful for increasing teacher competence and creativity.

Abstract

ABSTRACTThe rapid development of Artificial Intelligence (AI) has created new opportunities in education, particularly in the development of digital learning media. One of the most innovative applications is Synthesia AI, a platform that enables the creation of animated learning videos with virtual avatars and multilingual automated narration. This study aims to implement the use of Synthesia AI in developing animated instructional videos as an effort to improve teachers’ digital literacy competence. The research employed a descriptive qualitative approach with several stages: needs analysis, teacher training in using Synthesia AI, video production, and evaluation through observation, questionnaires, and interviews. The results indicated that more than 85% of teachers reported increased confidence in creating digital media, 78% were able to design appropriate learning scripts for AI-based videos, and 82% successfully produced animated instructional videos that were engaging, interactive, and curriculum-oriented. Furthermore, teachers’ digital literacy competence improved in four aspects: technological literacy, information literacy, media literacy, and digital pedagogy. These findings highlight that the integration of AI can serve as a practical and innovative solution for teachers to deliver more adaptive, creative, and relevant learning experiences that meet the needs of 21st-century students.Keywords : Synthesia AI, animated instructional video, digital literacy, teachers, artificial intelligence.ABSTRAKPerkembangan teknologi kecerdasan buatan (Artificial Intelligence/AI) telah membuka peluang baru dalam dunia pendidikan, khususnya dalam pengembangan media pembelajaran digital. Salah satu aplikasi yang inovatif adalah Synthesia AI, sebuah platform yang memungkinkan pembuatan video animasi pembelajaran dengan avatar virtual dan narasi otomatis multibahasa. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengimplementasikan penggunaan Synthesia AI dalam pembuatan video pembelajaran animasi sebagai upaya meningkatkan kompetensi literasi digital guru. Metode penelitian menggunakan pendekatan deskriptif kualitatif dengan tahapan: analisis kebutuhan, pelatihan guru dalam penggunaan Synthesia AI, produksi video pembelajaran, serta evaluasi melalui observasi, angket, dan wawancara. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa lebih dari 85% guru merasa lebih percaya diri dalam membuat media digital, 78% mampu menyusun naskah pembelajaran yang sesuai untuk diintegrasikan ke dalam video AI, dan 82% menghasilkan video pembelajaran animasi yang dinilai menarik, interaktif, dan sesuai kurikulum. Selain itu, kompetensi literasi digital guru meningkat pada aspek teknologi, informasi, media, dan pedagogi digital. Temuan ini menegaskan bahwa pemanfaatan AI dapat menjadi solusi praktis dan inovatif bagi guru untuk menghadirkan pengalaman belajar yang lebih adaptif, kreatif, dan relevan dengan kebutuhan siswa abad ke-21.Kata kunci : Synthesia AI, video pembelajaran animasi, literasi digital, guru, kecerdasan buatan

Abstract

Rendahnya kemampuan berpikir kritis siswa kelas XI SMA Negeri 13 Kota Jambi pada materi asam basa, yang terlihat dari hasil belajar di bawah KKTP. Tujuan penelitian adalah membandingkan kemampuan berpikir kritis siswa antara model Problem Based Learning (PBL) dan Discovery Learning (DL), serta mengetahui pengaruh PBL terhadap peningkatan kemampuan berpikir kritis. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode eksperimen Non-equivalent Control Group Design. Sampel diambil secara purposive sampling, yaitu kelas XI Sains 6 sebagai kelas eksperimen (PBL) dan kelas XI Sains 3 sebagai kelas kontrol (DL). Data dikumpulkan melalui tes essay pretest-posttest dan dianalisis dengan uji Mann-Whitney karena data tidak normal.Hasil uji Mann-Whitney menunjukkan nilai Asymp. Sig. (2-tailed) = 0,007 < 0,05. Artinya, terdapat perbedaan signifikan antara kedua kelas. Peningkatan kemampuan berpikir kritis kelas PBL lebih tinggi, terutama pada indikator menarik kesimpulan dengan ketercapaian 69% dibanding kelas DL sebesar 42%.Simpulan penelitian ini adalah model PBL berpengaruh signifikan dan lebih efektif meningkatkan kemampuan berpikir kritis siswa pada materi asam basa dibanding model DL.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the process of development, feasibility, and response of teachers and students to interactive multimedia Articulate Storyline 3 based on problem-based learning on atomic structure materials oriented to students' critical thinking skills. The product development process is carried out by the Lee and Owens model stages, namely: analysis, design, development, implementation, and evaluation. The instruments used were interview sheets and questionnaires. The resulting products are validated by material experts and media experts. Furthermore, it is assessed by teachers and tested in a one-to-one and small group manner. Data analysis techniques are used for qualitative data analysis and quantitative data analysis. The results of the study that the product developed was conceptually and procedurally feasible based on subject matter experts obtained a percentage of 90%, a one-to-one test with a percentage of 90%, and from the student's response had a percentage of 91.7%. Based on the results of the study, it can be concluded that interactive multimedia Articulate Storyline 3 based on problem-based learning on atomic structure materials oriented to students' critical thinking skills has fulfilled all stages with "very good" results and contributes to improving students' critical thinking skills.

Abstract

Pembelajaran daring dilaksanakan sebagai dampak dari menyebarnya virus Covid-19. Selama pembelajaran daring tidak menutup kemungkinan adanya learning loss yang mengakibatkan hilangnya pengetahuan dan keterampilan khusus atau umum dan penurunan kemajuan akademik. Model pembelajaran case study dan project based learning menjadi model pembelajaran aktif dalam pembelajaran daring. Model pembelajaran ini dikombinasikan dengan platform open course berupa LMS Moodle dengan tambahan tools gamifikasi. Tujuan penelitian untuk mengetahui penggunaan platform LMS Moodle dengan tambahan tools gamifikasi yang dikombinasikan dengan model pembelajaran case study dan project based learning dapat mencegah terjadinya learning loss di kalangan mahasiswa. Penelitian yang dilaksanakan adalah jenis penelitian pengembangan dengan model pengembangan 4D dan didukung dengan penelitian deskriptif kualitatif untuk mengetahui faktor learning loss. Subjek dan sampel penelitian yaitu mahasiswa Prodi Pendidikan Kimia pada perkuliahan Evaluasi Proses dan Hasil Belajar. Hasil penelitian dapat disimpulkan produk hasil pengembangan dapat mengurangi learning loss dengan kategori sangat baik pada mahasiswa selama pembelajaran. Hal ini dibuktikan dengan angka motivasi sebesar 80,02%, konsentrasi dalam belajar sebesar 81,02%, dan penyerapan materi sebesar 83,24%.

Abstract

Materi faktor laju reaksi dalam pembelajaran kimia sering dianggap sulit oleh peserta didik karena memerlukan pemahaman konsep yang mendalam serta keterkaitan antara teori dan fenomena nyata. Berdasarkan hasil wawancara serta analisis kebutuhan di SMAN 5 Kota Jambi mengungkapkan bahwa kemampuan berpikir kritis peserta didik masih tergolong rendah, ditambah bahan ajar konveksional berbentuk buku cetak yang minim interaktivitas. Hal ini menggarisbawahi kebutuhan pengembangan bahan ajar berbasis teknologi yang inovatif. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengembangkan e-Modul berbasis inkuiri terbimbing yang layak digunakan dalam pembelajaran kimia. Metode yang digunakan adalah Research & Development yang meliputi tahap analisis, desain, pengembangan, implementasi, dan evaluasi. Subjek penelitian ini adalah peserta didik kelas XI SMA, dengan instrumen berupa angket validasi ahli, angket respon guru, dan angket respon peserta didik. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa e-Modul memperoleh nilai rata-rata 4,23 dari ahli materi dan 4,47 dari ahli media dengan kategori sangat layak, serta penilaian sebesar 4,6 dan respon peserta didik 84,40% dengan kategori sangat baik. Dengan demikian, e-Modul yang dikembangkan layak digunakan dalam pembelajaran.

Abstract

This research was motivated by students’ low problem-solving skills in stoichiometry and the increasing integration of Artificial Intelligence (AI) in learning. Chemistry learning, particularly stoichiometry, still presents difficulties in understanding concepts and determining systematic problem-solving steps. Therefore, this study aimed to analyze the effect of AI use in stoichiometry learning on the problem-solving skills of high school students in phase F. This study employed a quantitative method with a true experimental design using a pretest-posttest control group design. The sample consisted of an experimental group (XI-F4), which received AI, and a control group (XI-F5), which learned without AI. Data were collected through essay tests (pretest and posttest) and a student response questionnaire. The instruments were tested beforehand to ensure validity and reliability. Data analysis included normality, homogeneity, Independent Sample t-test, and N-Gain tests using SPSS Statistics version 29 and Microsoft Excel 2025. The results showed no significant effect of AI on students’ problem-solving skills (0.152 > 0.05), although N-Gain and student responses indicated AI’s potential as a learning support tool.

Abstract

Purpose of the study: This study aimed to synthesize and characterize a novel organotin oxocarbon complex, namely bis(trimethyltin) croconate dihydrate [(CH₃)₃Sn]₂C₅O₅·2H₂O, and to investigate its molecular geometry, coordination behavior, supramolecular arrangement, and spectroscopic properties. Methodology: The compound was synthesized through a solution reaction between sodium croconate and trimethyltin chloride under atmospheric conditions at room temperature. Structural characterization was conducted using single-crystal X-ray diffraction analysis with a Bruker AXS SMART CCD-System diffractometer and refined using the SHELXS-97 software package. Additional characterization techniques included FTIR spectroscopy, CHN elemental analysis, and ¹H- and ¹³C-NMR spectroscopy. Main Findings: The synthesized compound crystallized in the orthorhombic system with the Fddd space group and formed bright yellow needle-shaped crystals. Structural analysis revealed that the croconate dianion acts as a bidentate bridging ligand connecting two trimethyltin groups. Each tin atom exhibits pentacoordination with distorted trigonal bipyramidal geometry. Bond length analysis confirmed π-electron delocalization within the croconate ring, indicating aromatic character. Hydrogen bonding interactions between coordinated water molecules and croconate oxygen atoms generated an extended supramolecular network. FTIR and NMR spectra further supported the formation of the target complex, while elemental analysis confirmed agreement between theoretical and experimental compositions. Novelty/Originality of this study: This study reports the successful synthesis and comprehensive crystallographic characterization of bis(trimethyltin) croconate dihydrate, a croconate-based organotin complex that has rarely been explored. The research provides new insights into the coordination behavior of croconate ligands toward trimethyltin centers, the formation of hydrogen-bonded supramolecular structures, and the role of π-electron delocalization in stabilizing organotin oxocarbon frameworks.
