Abstract

Background: Knowledge can influence behaviour. Feeding is a factor that affect nutritional status of children. This study aims to describe the relationship between the level of mother’s knowledge about feeding rules and the nutritional status of toddlres. Methods: This study used a cross-sectional method. This research was conducted at the posyandu in Bancarkembar area with a total sampling technique. The number of samples is 68 respondents who meet the inclusive criteria. The research was conducted by giving a questionnaire the level of mother’s knowledge about feeding rules and antropometric measurements (weight and length) on toddlers to determine the nutritional status of toddlers. The two variables were tested for correlation using Sommers’d.Results: The results showed that there was a relationship between the level of mother’s knowledge about feeding rules and the nutritional status of toddlers with p-0,042 (p<0,05).Conclusion: The level of mother’s knowledge about feeding rules is related to the nutritional status of toodlers. This research recommends feeding rules education to mothers.

Abstract

Background. The Covid-19 pandemic has caused various changes, including the learning system in schools. Freshman students must adapt to these changes and go through a transition from high school to college. Resilience is needed by freshmen in order to get through this difficult time. This study aimed to find out the characteristics of the respondents, the level of resilience, and resilience based on the characteristics of the respondents. Methods. This research used a quantitative descriptive method. The research sample was 266 people who were taken using the Stratified Random Sampling technique. The instruments used are The Rugged Resilience Measure (RRM) to measure internal protective factors and The Child and Youth Resilience Measure-Revised (CYRM-R) to measure external protective factors. Results. The majority of respondents were female (77.8%) and majored in Nursing (24.4%). Student resilience is in the moderate category on internal (72.6%) and external (65.4%) protective factors. High resilience was found more in male respondents (40.7% internal and 30.5% external protective factors), Physical Education majors (31.4% internal and 21.6% external protective factors), and Pharmacy majors (external protective 21.6%). Conclusion. The resilience of first year students is in the moderate category in both internal and external protective factors. High resilience was found in the male sex, majoring in Physical Education, and Pharmacy major.

Abstract

Introduction: Toddlers are the golden phase orgold period. In this phase, children will experience very rapid growth and development. Nutrition or nutrients are an absolute factor needed by the body in the growth and development process. Purpose: Therefore, this research aims to be an effort to overcome nutritional disorders in children by providing education feeding rulesor guidelines for feeding children. Methods: The research method used by the author uses a case study. The research subjects were mothers with toddlers who experienced nutritional problems. Conclusion: Providing education feeding rules in mothers with children under five who have nutritional problems, changes in knowledge have increased significantly. This can be seen from the difference in scores onpretest and posttest namely 33.3% to 83.3%.

Abstract

Background: Toddler age is a golden period in the growth and development of children. One of the factors that inhibit children's growth and development is poor eating behavior. The child's eating behavior begins to be formed since the prenatal period through the transmission of amniotic fluid containing volatile compounds derived from food consumed by the mother during pregnancy. Purpose: This study aimed to analyze the relationship between maternal eating behavior during pregnancy with eating behavior in toddlers (1-3 years old). Methodology: Correlational analytic research with cross sectional research design. The total sample size was 101 mother and child respondents in Grendeng and Sumampir Villages, Purwoketo Utara II District. Data were collected using the AEBQ questionnaire for data on eating behavior of mothers during pregnancy and CEBQ-T for data on eating behavior of toddlers. Test the analysis of the relationship between the two variables used the pearson correlations. Result: The results of statistical tests showed a p-value of 0.001 (<0.05) with an r value of 0.552, which means that there was a significant relationship between the maternal eating behavior during pregnancy and the eating behavior of toddlers with moderate relationship strength. Conclusion: There was significant relationship between the maternal eating behavior during pregnancy and the eating behavior of toddlers (1-3 years).

Abstract

Introduction: Children aged < 5 years have a high risk of developing primary progressive pulmonary tuberculosis (TB) and are at risk of developing a serious disease that can cause death or long-term disability. Pulmonary TB is an infectious respiratory disease caused by the bacteria Mycobacterium tuberculosis. Objective: This case study aims to determine the effect of a combination of mint leaf inhalation therapy and balloon blowing exercise on oxygen saturation and respiratory frequency in children with pulmonary TB. Methods: : Implementation of Evidence Based Nursing (EBN) based on PICO with article searches for 2020 – 2024 using ScienceDirect, Pubmed, Research Gate and Google Scholar. A combination of mint leaf inhalation therapy and balloon blowing exercise was the intervention chosen to be implemented. The intervention was carried out by inhaling mint leaf essential oil vapor for 15 minutes and continued by blowing up the balloon 8 – 10 times until it was 7 inches in size. The intervention will be provided on April 18 – 24 2024. Results: After being given intervention, the oxygen saturation of the research subjects increased from 94% to 98% and the respiratory frequency decreased from 42x/minute to 36x/minute. Conclusion: The combination of pappermint inhalation therapy and balloon blowing exercise has an effect on increasing oxygen saturation and reducing respiratory frequency in children with pulmonary TB.

Abstract

Introduction: Proper complementary feeding (MPASI) is an important factor in supporting the growth and development of the baby, especially in determining the nutritional status of the baby. The involvement of fathers in the provision of complementary foods can contribute to the nutritional status of the baby, but there are still many fathers who are less involved in this process. Objective: This study aims to analyze the relationship between fathers' participation in complementary feeding and the nutritional status of infants aged 6–12 months in Gandatapa Village. Methods: This study used a quantitative correlation analysis method with a cross-sectional design. Results: characteristics of fathers with a median age value of 33 years with a majority of high school education, working as laborers and income <UMR Banyumas in 2024. The majority of fathers' participation is classified as sufficient with the normal majority nutritional status. The analysis of the Somers'd test obtained a p-value = 0.292 (p>0.05) which showed that there was no significant relationship between the participation of fathers in the provision of complementary foods and the nutritional status of infants aged 6–12 months in Gandatapa Village. Conclusion: there was no significant relationship between the participation of fathers in the provision of complementary foods and the nutritional status of infants aged 6-12 months in Gandatapa Village.
