This study aims to explore the role of digital technology in increasing physical activity motivation among college students in the 21st century. The development of digital technology has provided easy access to various fitness apps, wearable devices, and digital platforms that support an active lifestyle. This study used a qualitative approach with descriptive methods to understand students' experiences, perceptions, and perspectives regarding the use of digital technology in their physical activity. Data were collected through in-depth interviews and analyzed using thematic analysis techniques. The results indicate that digital technology plays a role in increasing physical activity motivation among college students through several aspects, namely increased awareness of the importance of fitness, ease of self-monitoring of physical activity, and the presence of gamification features such as targets, challenges, and rewards that encourage consistent exercise. Furthermore, social support through digital communities is also an important factor in maintaining student motivation. However, several obstacles were identified, such as limited consistent application use, distractions from device use, and dependence on technology. Overall, digital technology plays a positive role in increasing physical activity motivation among college students in the 21st century, although its effectiveness is greatly influenced by individual commitment and the social environment. These findings are expected to form the basis for developing technology-based learning strategies and programs to increase physical activity in higher education environments.
